Chris Wallace of Fox News Demolishes the BBC's Katty Kay on 'Jeopardy!'

By Noel Sheppard | May 16, 2012 | 23:12

The liberal media took another stunning defeat Tuesday as Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace totally demolished the BBC's Katty Kay on Jeopardy!.

This followed Monday's abysmal performance by MSNBC's Chris Matthews (video follows with commentary).

At the closing bell, Wallace had amassed $22,400 to Kay's pitiful $8,000. Dr. Mehmet Oz came in third with $5,900.

And liberals claim they're the smartest.

Ha!

"And liberals claim they're the smartest."

Well, to be fair, trivia knowledge isn't smarts. But its at least is evidence that the conservative journalists know more facts, which isn't a small thing in itself :)

One always goes with one's latest champion.

Wallace was very impressive, though. He got off to a slow start, but once he got rolling, he left the other two in the dust.

Kay was excellent. Dr. Oz (?) was not very strong.

Compared to Chris Matthews' performance, Wallace's was admirable.

Wrong again jer.

Submitted by AFVet on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 11:18am.

Wrong again Jer, it was redfish that insinuated that Wallace was a Conservative, not Newsbusters. Wallace is a middle of the road moderate if there ever was one (many would even consider him being center-left), Wallace is not a Conservative or Libertarian by any stretch of the imagination. But the other two, BBC's Katty Kay and Dr. Oz are lefty liberals, no doubt about that.

Jer, I do not have that kind of time.

Submitted by AFVet on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:25pm.

Jer, you are wrong so often I do not have the kind of time it would take to point each ludicrous post you make. If you simply look at several posts you made this week alone you will notice where I and others pointed out your errors and factually incorrect statements such as you stating Hitler was not a leftist, which he clearly was as he was a Socialist who dabbled in Fascism. Socialism, Communism, and Liberalism/Fascism are to the left of Libertarianism and Conservatism and to the left of Political Moderates in the USA. That is just one example of many of the things you have made incorrect posts concerning.

Also, I pointed out that you were responding to redfish, just as I did. Perhaps you should take the time to comprehend what you are reading before attacking me or others.

If that's your best effort, AFVet...

Submitted by Jer on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 8:52pm.

you might consider taking an extended leave of absence to a.) brush up on your reading comprehension skills and b.) to check out a couple of reputable 20th century histories examining the period of political volatility roiling Europe between the wars.  Your grasp of the facts is woefully deficient.

You did not point out that I was responding to redfish. On the contrary, I was compelled to remind you of such fact after your erroneous implication that my observation regarding Wallace and conservatives was addressed to NewsBusters.  Furthermore, your post wasn't directed at redfish but to me.  The end result was a complete mischaracterization by you of the relevant exchanges, and your feeble attempt to revise and recast them now is transparently disingenuous.

Aside from the foregoing, the single example you produce of one of my allegedly numerous factually incorrect statements concerns my comments about Hitler and his place on the ideological spectrum.  Here is a summary of my assertions and expressions of opinion on the topic:

"Granted he [Hitler} had some leftist tendencies, but, on balance, nope, not a lefty."

"Look, it's virtually impossible to lay a Left-Right template over the complex mix of political movements which waxed and waned especially in the first half of the twentieth century and have them all fall neatly into place.  The titillating question, Hitler and Nazism:  Left or Right? isn't particularly productive."

and, finally...

"It just seems to me that to portray Hitler as a liberal or left-wing based on socioeconomic analysis is just as unfair as to portray him as a conservative or right-wing for sociopolitical reasons.  Frankly, I think it inflames the discussion rather than enlightens it."

Your casual and reflexive dismissal of the foregoing only serves to underscore your un-nuanced, largely uninformed, and remarkably simplistic views on the subject.  So, here's a source which should broaden your understanding.

This is serious business, sport.  You need to jack it up a notch to prove you're really ready for the big leagues.

Wow, you really are clueless.

Submitted by AFVet on Fri, 05/18/2012 - 11:41am.

jer(k), you claim that I have a lack of comprehension but the reality is that you could not comprehend the sentence, 'it was redfish that insinuated that Wallace was a Conservative, not Newsbusters.' I was clearly informing you that redfish was making an insinuation concerning Wallace it was not Newsbusters, so there goes your childish comprehension claim as you were wrong on this issue as you have been wrong on almost every issue.

Also, lefties such as yourself have done everything you can to distance yourselves for evil people such as Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Jong-il, Castro, and other leftists who have massacred millions and have the same belief systems of control of people and industry, it is called totalitarianism, the far left.

And talk about stepping up, your long-winded diatribe was a joke. Hitler was a socialist plain and simple. He rose to power through the German Workers Party, Germany's Largest Union, and was bent on control of people and industry, those are products of the left not the right. The right believes in personal freedom, individual liberty, limited government, low taxation, and no oppression of the people among other things based upon freedom. So you might take a vacation as you mind is obvious over taxed, or at least at the minimum seek psychiatric help.

Reread--and have someone assist you with the words exceeding three letters--the initial post of redfish and my reply. IT WAS HIS INSINUATION THAT WALLACE WAS A CONSERVATIVE WHICH PROMPTED MY RESPONSE, WHICH RESPONSE IN NO WAY ATTRIBUTED SUCH DESCRIPTION OF WALLACE TO NEWSBUSTERS.

Sheesh, how did you ever make it out of the eighth grade.

And you really expect me to take seriously the rest of your drivel when you continue to demonstrate complete befuddlement with plain English?

Chris Wallace of Fox News

Submitted by kristensuzanne on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 12:31am.

Unfortunately, I do believe Chris Wallace, like his father who was a liberal, is one himself...to be fair, I'd say he was more a moderate...but as is said, the expression, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, is probably an accurate appraisal of Mr. Wallace's leanings...he has a tendency to lean a little left, but because he is at Fox News, he does know more facts and tends not to rely on his feelings or opinions and I believe he has been very circumspect in keeping his opinions to himself which suits me...this is a good thing...I don't mind him so much...when he first got to Fox I doubted his credentials could be anything other than liberal because of who his father was...I've seen he is a very meticulous and fair journalist...and he is a journalist, not just a news reader which comprises most of the MSM..

It's a win for FNC. If Fox haters were cheering Dana Perino's demise last night, they must have been miffed tonight. Lucky for them, Lewis Black and Clarence Page are playing tomorrow. I certainly won't be watching. I didn't watch Monday, either, because of Chris Matthews.

I rooted for Chris

Submitted by Chaitealover on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 12:52am.

Because his charity was one to help wounded troops and the widows and other family members of troops that were killed in action.

Katty Kay's charity was one I never heard of, but I must admit it sounded more than a little left-leaning to me. It was for the support of women journalists, mostly in the middle east, that she said were reporting the news in spite of danger to themselves. It made me wonder why male journalists did not merit the same support.

Dr. Oz's charity would send college grads to K-12 schools throughout the country to teach the kids how to take care of their bodies. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I know Dr Oz devotes much of his TV program educating people about nutrition.

Katy kay is a self important shill for the left. If it isn't part of her world view, it doesn't exist. Expect libs to attack Jeopardy as too far to the right soon.

They used facts and verifiable data to base the answers on. All liberals know that there is never just one right answer, it depends on how you feel. Besides...if someone from FoxNews won, that just proves that the answers were racist.
