Bill Maher Hits Marcus Bachmann With Another Gay Joke: 'He Would Also Like to Get Behind Romney'
What is it about liberals and gay jokes?
On HBO's Real Time Friday, the host once again took a homosexual jab at Marcus Bachmann saying, "He would also like to get behind Romney" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
During his opening monologue, Maher mentioned Newt Gingrich announcing this week that he's getting out of the race and backing Mitt Romney.
"He got the endorsement of Michele Bachmann," Maher said. "Also, Michele Bachmann’s husband Marcus said he would also like to get behind Romney."
Three weeks ago, Maher hit Mr. Bachmann with a sodomy joke.
Honestly, don't liberals actually like homosexuals, or is this just another dependable voting bloc they can count on each election day regardless of how they treat them?

They use gay jokes as insults, yet claim the mantle of being tolerant and accepting of the gay lifestyle, and pretend to treat it as normal. So why use it as an insult? Who knows, makes no sense. And yes, solid voting bloc they don't give a crap about and know won't leave.

They use gay jokes as an insult on people they think are extremely anti-gay so those people hypothetically will be REALLY offended by being called gay. Personally I think it doesn't work because it is so obviously untrue that the target of the joke can just ignore it. It's sort of a Hail Mary of jokes, there is about a 5% chance that it will work.
Also I think part of their vitriol towards Marcus Bachmann goes back to the whole problem that liberals have with conservative women. Michelle Bachmann has been out of the race for months, but like with Palin they cannot let it go, except they are going after Michelle's spouse. Were spouses off limits? Oh that's right, LIBERAL spouses are off limits.

Doesn't any one else see that Maher keeps saying this crap to get attention from conservatives? He knows most of us won't watch his program, so he says something like this, the one conservative charged with keeping tabs on him that day reports it to NB, NB posts it and readers pay attention to him. Maybe, just maybe, if NB stops reprinting every stupid thing he says, he'd find something else to talk about. Or, if the world gets lucky, he'd just dry up and go away.

He is just making fun of a conservative because he can. Some radio guy or another said that Marcus had a "gay accent", so now the liberals are going to pick on him every chance they get. Jeeze. And THESE are supposed to be the guys who were so concerned with kids bullying other kids right now. Adult liberals are doing it, and they do it on national TV.
