Donna Brazile Endorses George Will for Vice President
There was a very funny, light-hearted moment on ABC's This Week Sunday when Democratic strategist Donna Brazile jokingly endorsed George Will as Mitt Romney's Vice Presidential running mate.
Will returned the favor responding, "I would pick someone 30 years younger than I am" (video follows with transcript and commentary, file photo):
DONNA BRAZILE: You know, George, I would pick George Will, because he's a reliable, consistent conservative. I've known George for many, many years. He could stand up to the scrutiny, and he's solid on all of those things that matters to conservatives. Thank you.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, HOST: What are you going to do with that endorsement, George?
GEORGE WILL: I would pick someone 30 years younger than I am, which is Paul Ryan or Bobby Jindal, who's been a governor. I think Mr. Romney needs some kind of excitement, that is, go young, go conservative, and go someone who's so deeply in the weeds on the entitlement crisis that the country's having, and, finally, look forward to, say, Paul Ryan debating Joe Biden.
Yes, I'd like to see that debate as well.
As for Brazile, one gets the sense that despite their political differences, there is a great mutual respect and affection between the two that bridges ideology.
It's sure nice to see that in this day of hyperpartisan bickering.
Thanks for the giggle this morning, Donna.

I'd run for VP

"What are you going to do with that endorsement, George?"
Heck, after an endorsement like that, I'd run for VP, all by myself!
Why don't people ever run for just the VP position without having to be included as part of a package deal? I don't see anything that prevents them from doing so. As a matter of fact, the 12th Amendment actually separates the Electoral votes into separate votes for the President and the VP. Well, why can't the general election do the same?
I think we should separate the two elected positions completely and run them as separate elections. It would go a lot towards restoring some balance in Government. Just think of what would happen if, say, in the last election people picked Obama as President and Palin as V.P! That would have been awesome!
Oh, and by the way, I think that the VP should be forced to do what they're supposed to be doing: chairing the Senate!

Bobo Brazile would eventually twist it into 2 old corporate white men, from the party that doesn't care, saying a black man's too stupid and unqualified to be the president. Racists.
Brazile is Axelrod in a bra. Incorrigible. She made her bones many years ago and continues to say anything to keep her celebrity and money.
Dana Perino and Donna Brazile

Noel - I often think of Mary Matalin and James Carville. Goodness, if these two people (a married couple) can get along and have fun (and - I bet they do) why can't the rest of us? OK, there is the national MSM, whose goal seems to be little more than promoting division and hate.
Dana Perino, currently on Fox's "The Five," and President Bush's former press secretary, recently spoke wonderfully about her close friendship with Donna Brazile.
Wonderful human interest stories not soon to come to the front page of your local national Main Stream newspaper.
It's very unfortunate, indeed.
