Bob Beckel Tells Female Tea Partier On Live TV ‘You Don't Know What the F--k You're Talking About’

Fox News contributor and former Democratic strategist Bob Beckel directed an F-bomb at female Tea Party activist Jennifer Stefano during Monday’s Hannity.

The two were arguing through a commercial break, and Beckel apparently didn’t know they were back live when he made his indelicate remark (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

“If you say that Head Start is a failure, you don't know what the f—k you’re talking about,” exclaimed Beckel as the program came back from commercial.

“It is a failure,” responded Stefano who also happens to be the Pennsylvania state director for Americans for Prosperity.

Hannity interrupted, “Whoa, bleep. What are you doing?”

Stefano needed to get in the last word saying just, “Failure.”

Beckel responded, “I just can’t stand right-wingers. They’ve just got their mouths running all the time.”

Hannity then asked Beckel to apologize. He initially refused until Hannity made him understand that he said that on live television.

“I try to put signs up and help you,” Hannity told Beckel who has a history of losing control of his tongue.

Beckel finally acquiesced saying, “I’m sorry about using that foul word, yes. But the intent about it is still there.”

“And you should run your show a little better,” he continued, “instead of having me get caught like that.”

“Now you’re blaming me for this,” exclaimed Hannity.

“Typical liberal,” added Stefano. “No personal responsibility."

“You’re like Obama – you’re blaming me,” joked Hannity.

This led conservative talk radio host Neal Boortz to comment, “This thing about me guesting on The Five? Maybe I’d better rethink that.”

For his part, Beckel has already apologized on Twitter saying, "I apologize to anyone who heard me on Hannity. I honestly thought we were off air. I just may not be cut out for the tv business. Peace."

Oh those nutty liberals.

Hannity needs walk the walk

Submitted by Andante on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 10:19am.

Hannity needs walk the walk and fire Beckel immediately. He cursed a 'lady' on the air and then refused to apologize which resulted in Hannity apologizing for him. His phoney Twitter apology later was driven by his fear of being fired. Beckel does nothing for the show's ratilngs. There are other Liberals out there who are smarter and more interesting than Beckel (which isn't saying much)

Hannity has a great opportunity to take our opposition to the left's personal attacks on Conservative women and mothers to the front burner. Set an example Hannity. Prove that people like Maher and Beckel will not be tolerated by the Right. The man is a pig. Replace him.

PS:
Watching Beckel reminds me of a 300 pound frog squatting at the table waiting for a bug to fly by.

Fire Beckel

Submitted by NotFondOfLibs on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 12:55pm.

I have to strongly agree. It is time for Fox to fire Beckel. He, like almost all other liberals cannot discuss a subject without resorting to vulgarities when they have no other significant point to make. These people have a list of talking points they use and once they run out of them, the next one is being vulgar. This list usually includes playing the race card, playing the Nazi card, blaming Bush, blaming Cheney, trying to silence the opposing viewpoint altogether, then getting vulgar when they get no traction whatsoever. Sean Hannity may like Beckel as a friend, but it is time for him to request Fox take Beckel off the show. Beckel could then take his pathetic act over to Bill Press and.or Mike Malloy, where he would be welcome and comfortable with his vulgarity.

The whole point of this language is to offend you, to make you back off, at which point the lib can take up the space that you receded. Even if obscenity doesn't have much of an effect anymore, liberals are locked within this mode of "revolution"--but the intent is incivility.

Let's get the terminology right...

Submitted by JanineC on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 1:41am.

Folks, it is time to get the terminology right. Beckel and the rest of those people are NOT "liberals". They are LEFTISTS. "Liberal" is a word that that they stole and falsely applied to themselves long ago to mislead the public into believing they stand for freedom, liberty and equality. But the leftists are NOT liberal at all. They are controlling tyrants who manipulate words and disemminate misinformation and false propaganda to create perceptions that benefit the furthering of their leftist agenda. We shouldn't help the leftists continue to mislead the public by calling them "liberals". I want to take back the word back and show these people for what they really are...socialists/Marxists/communists. If anyone is truly liberal in the classic sense of the word, it is today's conservatives, who, like our Founding Fathers uphold the Constitution as it was written, support freedom and liberty, believe in God-gieven inalienable rights, private property, personal responsibility, equality for all under the law, and place the individual above the collective. We are the true chanpions of freedom. Leftists want to enslave the general public to a big government run by a few elite who enrich and empower themselves at our expense.

Considering how often Bob 'bad hair dye' Belcher 'doesn't know what the f**k he's talking about' (and how many time he gets it WRONG!!), I'm surprised (not really) that he has the gumption to tell somebody else the same thing.

And, what - he was a 'strategist' of Dukiaikis, or something??? WOW!!! What a resume!!!!

Well, Ms.Rad, I DID say 'former druggie and drunk'...........and I WAS being serious about the rest of the sentence too. But as for Rush - and I have listened to Rush since the early 90's, so I know what I'm talkin' about - he owned up to being addicted to pain pills, and he did his rehab and confession..................but he also has spent a lot of time making fun of other druggies too, so payback can be a beeee-yatch sometimes.

I have known, and still know, a lot of drunks and druggies......................and I'm not an 'enabler' or a 'coddler' to their problems or issues - we're all 'big boys and girls' - so I don't want to hear their excuses, alibis, explanations, or 'reasons'. If they want to go down that road - nobody is forcing them, and that includes me.

As far as ol' Bad Hair Dye goes - he's a sad sack if I've ever seen one - and snide and sour and rude and crude, plus he's got no resume or record to demonstrate that he's anyone to be paid attention to. Hats off to him for trying to 'help' other drunks and druggies...................but I don't think his personality or outlook on life is going to give them much positive influence.

I didn't mean to take a swipe at you, sorry if it came out that way. Beckel is only positive if he's talking about another liberal or another substance abuser. Which. makes me wonder because he's mentioned (by first name only) people in the program on The Five. I can tell you, that's a very grey area, and if a loved one of mine was in a program with him, I'd be very uncomfortable with that.

I watch The Five and Beckel is the ultimate whiner. He complains every day about being outnumbered on the show, yet he doesn't have the arguments to support his position. That's his REAL issue.

Totally classless blaming it on Hannity. He should know better than to ever curse on a set, don't we see bloopers all the time when people think they're off camera? Sometimes they aren't being aired but the footage is still being recorded. It shows what an idiot Beckel is.

As far as abusers, I know plenty, and I know staying off is difficult. But now they have many places to go for support, the best one is NOT a government program, and costs nothing if you can't afford to throw in a buck.

No el problemo, Ms. Luvly Rad

Submitted by killa37 on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 1:12pm.

No el problemo, Ms. Luvly Rad - it's all cool. I might be a little hard-nosed about these things, but I think I've earned the right to be.
I know too many of these people - and I'm not real judgemental about it unless it happens to have a negative or deleterious effect on my, my life, my family, my friends, or my business - I'm not the kind of guy who feels like I must tell someone else how to live. Like I said, we're all big boys and girls in this game called life.

But the alibis and excuses and explanations that continue to be thrown out there to cover for irresponsible and uncontrollable behavior don't fly with me, and I'm not shy about saying so. And, as you may well know, I'm NOT a naive or innocent or uninformed guy with regards to what we're talking about here. I was playing rock'n'roll in bars when I was still in high school, and I was a free-as-a-bird surfer on the North Shore during the late 60's 'psychedelic' explosion, I continued playing music throughout the 70's and 80's in clubs, bars, and parties that had EVERYTHING going on, and I've been in the construction business for decades also - which is rife with booze and drugs and every other type of deviance and depravation!!! Plus, I'm a damn surfer, and everybody knows that surfers are bums, druggies, boozers, and sex-addicts!!! Hahahahahaha!!!

I don't know anything about 'Gidget', to tell you the TROOF - excpet that the movie was a Hollywood concoction - and you KNOW how 'credible' that was.

Jehmu is in denial

Submitted by Annie Ashe Fields on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 10:29am.

I saw her once when someone was trying to tell her DEMONSTRABLE, EASILY GOOGLED FACTS about the racist roots of Sanger/Planned Parenthood and she might have just put her hands over her ears and said "nanner-nanner" for all her willingness to even ENTERTAIN the thought. All she had to do was be curious enough to Google it ferkryssakes but THEY'RE NOT EVEN CURIOUS. It's AMAZING.

Jmoooo......Jmooooo

Submitted by TalkoftheToon on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 12:24pm.

Did you catch the time that she was on Huckabee and she proudly (and seriously) proclaimed that Obama was the greatest Commander in Chief the USA has ever known?!?

I think that there are a few liberals on Fox that are tolerable, such as Pat Gaddell, Doug Schoen, and the gentleman who worked for Howard Dean (I believe his name is Trippi?) but Jmooo certainly adds nothing to the conversation. When she comes on, I simply pretend I'm at a hockey game and I start to chant her name like she is the goalie who just let in two cheap goals. Perfect meter too; Jmoooo.....Jmoooo....Jmoooo......

Beckle is an embarrassment..

Submitted by almostacowboy on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 8:27am.

to all recovered alcoholics. At least when I got sober I realised I wasn't a liberal at all and re-registered as a Republican. Now I see Beckle as a man who, while he may not be drinking, still acts like a drunk. Please save any and all sympathy and justification you may have for him for someone who deserves it.

I'm going to drop a bomb here. . .

Submitted by rickbren on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 9:00am.

. . . . but I LOVE Bob on "The Five". I feel like he a decent fellow. But his presence shows the pure, unadulterated idiocy of the left like no other lib that sits on the Five's panel!!

FOX if you are reading this, consider this a vote to keep Bob!!

One other thing to those of you who think FOX is making a mistake with guys like Beckel. GIVE IT A REST!! Tell me another network that even makes the attempt to be balanced. I am grateful that FOX puts on Beckel, Combs, et.al. It really does give balance. . .

Here I am...

Submitted by Annie Ashe Fields on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 9:28am.

...on my first vacation in 5 years, luxuriating in my little rented condo on the Gulf in Sanibel, having a restful, lovely time hunting for shells, enjoying the pelicans, etc, and I turn on Fox for the first time in 6 days last night only to see Beckel drop an F bomb on a WOMAN on live t.v.

He's a class-less thug. I know Hannity says he does a lot of good with alcoholics (I have been sober for 7 years this week so I get it) but he's a CLASS-LESS THUG and NO GENTLEMAN.

If ANY man spoke to any one of my daughters this way I would tell them to RUN. Because if he's willing to risk LANGUAGE like that with a hot mic strapped on, his fists are next behind closed doors.

I think

Submitted by azgal602 on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 10:08am.

Beckel should be off the air permanently. He is a disaster. I quit watching anything that he is on a while ago. He will never even consider a different view, and like most liberals, he tries to intimidate the other person with vulgarity. Sean Hannity, take note, do not bring him back. I would love to watch the FIVE but with this person on the show, I won't.

for Beckel say stuff like that to Ted Nugent on the air. He won't tho, as he knows he can only get away with it with females. I am really looking forward to the time he does mess up and attacks the wrong person. I would love to see his fat butt on the floor.

Indelicate Remark ?

Submitted by Edward Cropper on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 10:21am.

Noel Sheppard needs to get his head out of his butt.
Beckel's remark was not indelicate it was crude, vulgar and down right
cowardly.
As long as " conservative" commentators continue to be half backed wimps
in dealing with liberal trash talkers they will continue to get their heads handed to them

Beckel is a vacuous empty

Submitted by celator on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 10:44am.

Beckel is a vacuous empty suit. Always was. His main argument is usually "The Republicans did it too." When you hear any liberal spokesmouth use that as a defense, you know they are desperate and don't have anything. It's the dumbest argument of all.

Head Start is a failure. There was a government report (comissioned under the Obumbles admin.) that said children who take part in the program aren't any better off than children who don't take part in the program. This is what happens when you confront liberals with facts, their head explodes and they revert to vitriol.

Beckel: Alinskey-ite through and through

Submitted by Slyrr on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 11:42am.

It's Saul Alinsky at it's most basic, and Beckel seems to be an acolyte from head to toe.

Are you losing an argument? Is a political opponent running rings around you intellectually? Are you spluttering and stammering and making a fool of yourself while your opponent takes you apart and neatly counters your every point?

Alinsky has the answer! Just start swearing and cursing and making fun of your opponent. The argument will stop on a dime and your opponent will not know exactly how to respond. Because there IS no way to respond to mockery and scorn! If they respond, they've sunk to your level. If they don't respond, you look like you 'won'.

Sure it's juvenile, thoughtless and childish. Sure it's behavior you'd expect from a kindergartener rather than an adult. But if you're getting your liberal rear end handed to you in a debate, because you have no intellectual or logical foundation for your argument, it's your only way out!

In the case of Beckel, who used to play football or something, he can also use threats of physical violence. When he's losing an argument (as he often does), he sinks back into his chair and grumbles something like, 'I'll punch your lights out you (censored) right-winger'.

How's a conservative, especially a conservative woman, supposed to respond to that? The leftists pimp themselves as the 'intellectuals' - the reasoned, sophisticated ones who make their points using their degrees from Yale, Harvard, et. al., and establish their philosophies with wisdom, words and 'diplomacy'.

Yet all we get from these so-called intellectuals lately is 'shut up you (bleep)ing right wingers!' Real smart, libs. REAL smart.

If a Liberal/Democrat politician/media figure wants to put their arms around you, or pat you on the back, all they're doing is looking for a good place to stick a knife.

Let's talk about something else....

Another favorite tactic is to switch the subject. Losing an argument about Solyndra? Then let's talk about Haliburton. Joe Biden said something stupid? Then let's talk about Sarah Palin. Your numbers don't add up? Then let's talk about drugs and alcohol.

It seems that the only one who can back down Beckel is Dana Perino. I

Poetic Justice

Submitted by iamsaved on Tue, 04/17/2012 - 12:04pm.

With all the vitriol spewing from Beckels mouth on The Five and elseware about the Tea Party, it would be poetic justice if his foul-mouthed comments directed toward a so-called Tea Party spokeswoman were his undoing.

Beckel does not come off as particularly brilliant. I am not surprised he fell back on that tired old F-bomb. Yawn. And to a woman! I thought he was always trying to charm "the ladies."
