Limbaugh Rips Olbermann: 'You Are Not a $10 Million Chandelier - You're the Guy Wearing a $50 Lampshade'

Recently fired and disgraced liberal commentator Keith Olbermann boasted on CBS's Late Show Tuesday that he's a $10 million chandelier.

Rush Limbaugh on his radio program marvelously responded Wednesday saying, "Keith, you are not a $10 million chandelier. You're the guy wearing a $50 lampshade sitting in the corner of the room that nobody else wants to go in" (video courtesy Daily Rushbo follows with transcript and no need for additional commentary):

RUSH LIMBAUGH: Did you hear that Keith Olbermann was on Letterman last night, and he said, "I made a mistake. I shouldn't-a gone to Gore's network. I was like the $10 million chandelier." And what he meant was, "I'm a $10 million chandelier," because he got $10 million a year for five years. "I'm $10 million chandelier, but I'm nothing if you don't put me in the right room."

Keith, you are not a $10 million chandelier. You're the guy wearing a $50 lampshade sitting in the corner of the room that nobody else wants to go in. That's what you are. Not a $10 million chandelier. Gee.

More like a broken lamp shade that was tossed in a trash heap filled with rotten, decomposing bio-hazard slime. Who would pay anything for that! Much, much more of a public health hazard than a service. Disinformation against America IS BAD and they should NOT be PAID or endorsed.

I heard this today on Rush's show

Submitted by Kingfish17 on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 6:15pm.

Rush never liked giving Olbermann any free publicity when KO had his show over at MSNBC. I love it that Limbaugh is kicking him when he's down and with no platform to respond. It's not mean, it's just.

Media Matters for Amerika is atuned to Rush

Submitted by neutron on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 7:17pm.

After the failed campaign to rid the airways of Rush Limbaugh, and inflame the alleged War on Women, MMfA is licking its wounded ego. They need something quick, something with some revenge in it.

"Rush said something derogatory (funny) about Keef Olbyman," shouts David Bah-Crock of MMfA. "He's at it again! Let's get this guy!
We (MMfA) will paste Limbaugh and the Republicans for their war on effeminate pompous airhead white men! That's the ticket!"

Olbermann never had a platform to respond. How do you...

Submitted by jawebster1 on Thu, 04/05/2012 - 1:51am.

respond when your platform is MSNBC and then Gore TV.

In order to have a platform, first you must have viewers.

BTW, the guy doesn't deserve it, but he has ten million in his pocket. How many of us have that kind of money? Even so, I wouldn't trade places with him.

Very few tragic lives in modern life

Submitted by CO2Maker on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 6:45pm.

You don't see many people of high accomplishment make a bad choice out of sheer hubris and then crash and burn, the classic definition of a Shakespearean or Sophoclean tragedy.

In a small way, Gary Hart took a swan dive into an empty pool with Donna Rice and the Monkey Business pleasure boat. Tiger Woods is perhaps the biggest, most spectacular example in recent years.

Keith Olbermann is up there, not quite with Woods but way beyond Hart. He had a rock-solid gig at ESPN but between his flaky and self-important ways, he wound up not being welcomed there (after dissing them!), then he went to Fox Sports and ruined that relationship, then bounced around radio sports on ABC, a detente with ESPN, and NBC. Then he jumped into political commentary at MSNBC and eventually fouled his nest there. Then he went dark (actually, he went to Current TV, effectively the same thing), pulled the same finicky antics there, and was unceremoniously canned. (BTW, I'll give Algorithm credit for firing him bluntly, abruptly, and "with prejudice.")

Keith, put all the money you made (the part you still have) in the bank and just go away. And while you're at it, why don't you spend a few bucks on driving lessons?

The peril of govt. controlled media

Submitted by Slyrr on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 7:18pm.

And yet Al Sharpton, Maddow, Matthews and all the rest of the sorry lot at MSNBC are still at it. One down, too many to go.

If the Demorats weren't stealing our tax dollars and funneling them to this failed network, it would have been dead and gone years ago. Ditto for NPR. NPR is running advertisements for MSNBC - which means they're using our tax money to advertise for another network that steals our tax money!

And people wonder why right thinking people are furious when we see Obama dictating orders to the press about how they are/are not 'allowed' to talk and write about him.

If a Liberal/Democrat politician/media figure wants to put their arms around you, or pat you on the back, all they're doing is looking for a good place to stick a knife.

Submitted by killa37 on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 11:23pm.

I was rather astonished by Keef Uberdork's salary - considering that nobody watches him. I mean, ALGORE has done pretty well selling fake 'carbon credits' and getting 'donations' for his psuedo-scam, but I KNOW he's not going to be paying Keef with his own money - and I'm sure that l'il Tipsy wouldn't allow it anyway!!

But it seems that everywhere Uberdork has been, he's ended up with the same result - so just how 'smart' are these people who hire him, anyway??? And it didn't surprise me when I read about his ego and his opinions of other people, and how he was 'above' everyone else, and thought he was special.

The guy was a crappy 'sports' person, and he's been a 'crappy' political person also. I'd venture to guess that he's basically just a crappy person.
