Gloria Allred Wants Rush Limbaugh Prosecuted for Calling Fluke a Slut

Celebrity lawyer and unabashed liberal Gloria Allred wants conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh prosecuted in Florida for calling Georgetown University law student and women's rights activist Sandra Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute."

Politico reported Friday:

“Mr. Limbaugh targeted his attack on a young law student who was simply exercised her free speech and her right to testify before congress on a very important issue to millions of American women and he vilified her. He defamed her and engaged in unwarranted, tasteless and exceptionally damaging attacks on her,” Allred told POLITICO Friday afternoon. “He needs to face the consequences of his conduct in every way that is meaningful.”

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.

Was Limbaugh imputing "want of chastity" on Fluke?

Hardly. His joke was that a woman wanting others to pay for her birth control is acting like a slut and a prostitute.

Regardless, this is just another attention-seeking measure by Allred following her representing Sharon Bialek in her accusations regarding Herman Cain.

Haven't heard much about that since Cain dropped out of the Republican presidential race.

Wonder why that is.

Gloria's greatest gift to mankind was she never got married, and thats lucky for all of man, what Idiot would have taken her as a wife or even girlfirend for that matter, and thank goodness she has no children, we can all breath a sigh of relief.

She does have a daughter

Submitted by sparkplug316 on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 3:30pm.

The surprising thing is, she does have a daughter and her daughter is classy, polite, reasonable, and well-spoken.
Every time I hear Gloria spew ignorance, strife, and toxins, I always wonder how her daughter turned out to be such a good person. I bet the answer doesn't flatter Gloria-it's just not possible.

Recall the AGs would have to also go against the people on the left as highlighted by Kirsten Powers. Also there is this small detail of "discovery". We will find out how many partners Miss Fluke ever had. And we will find out who is handling Miss Fluke. Is that really what she wants in an election year? To show that this issue was manufactured?

Interesting to see how many

Submitted by celator on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 12:25pm.

Interesting to see how many of Alinsky's Rules the loony left--Allred, Maher, Montel, Piers, Huffpo, The Daily Kooks, WAPO, etc-- is dragging out from under the bed on their latest "let's get Limbaugh" adventure. There's the obvious one: Rule #13 (their favorite): Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. And #4. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules And #5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon (Maher's favorite) And, of course, #8. Keep the pressure on which fits nicely with #10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. Nice to see they are such admirers of of Obama's favorite political tactician.

Thanks to Rush.

Submitted by Ogundipe S.O. on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 1:30pm.

Yes, thanks to Rush Limbaugh for hurting Rush Limbaugh. Rush made a mistake by apologizing to the far left. He apologized for stooping so low to their level by involving himself in throwing abusive words against a far left radical (Yes, despite all madstream media's claim that Sandra is just a university student expressing herself, all realistic evidences refutes this). Rush's mistake was to have damaged himself further by apologizing to the leftists. Apologizing to the radicals for using the languages they use everyday is like trying to beg your way out of being bullied, the more you play the victim the worse he'll continue to feel total dominance over you. Rush should have used all his energy to point out whom Sandra Fluke really is, using materials from the Breitbart's "Bigs" that has continue to reveal the sordid past of this "innocent student".

But now that the damage has already done, we're left with no choice but to rally behind our own. I can't renember the last time the big Ed did a show that doesn't include profanity. If the conservatives throw Rush to the wolves, well it will effectively end any leverage the movement ever mustered.

I think All-Red bombed out

Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 2:44pm.

I think All-Red bombed out with her so-called clients during the Herman Cain fiasco (even though the MSM got what they wanted, which was to get rid of Cain), and since she herself is a slut, a whore, and a prostitute in her own chosen field, she needs to inject herself back into the headlines with some other lame allegation. This episode will be tantamount to a little bitty fart from some snot-nosed kid in the school lunchline................a couple people might hear it and smell it, but it'll disappear soon enough.

Gloria is NOT a lawyer as much as she is an instigator for the socialist agenda. In that regard, she is 100% successful in her quest for helping in knocking out whom I believe would have been the GOP nominee for the presidency. Remember, Cain still has pending court action against many of the women.

Yeah, GOP, I know that she was helpful in getting Cain eliminated from the race..............but I haven't heard a thing since then.
And I'm sure that the 'pending court action' is just going to waste more time and money for Cain.........and if anything is paid out, All-Red will see more of it than the purported 'victims'.

I'd be happy to see Cain as some cabinet member in the new administration.

Undereducated

Submitted by allouchsit on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 3:51pm.

Gloria obviously flunked her first year of law school. Any first year law student knows that section 836.04, passed in Florida in 1883, is unconstitutional because of its gender bias. See, for example, Ivey v. State, 821 So.2d 937 (Ala. 2001) and Rejent v. Liberation Pubs., 197 A.D.2d 240 (N.Y. App. Div. 1994). One would think that an attorney who holds herself out as a defender of women would know something about gender bias. Unfortunately Gloria seems to know nothing about it and, instead, writes a letter to the local DA asking him to enforce this unconstitutional gender bias law?! What an idiot!! I have never seen Gloria demonstrate the slightest knowledge of the law. Again she does not disappoint. If Gloria Allred is an attorney, I am Little Red Riding Hood.

Fourteenth and First and Unlawful Practice of Law

Submitted by libBuster on Sun, 03/11/2012 - 6:22pm.

This obsolete statute is in conflict with Fourteenth and First Amendment juisprudence. Her legal theory absolutely contradicts the Fourteenth Amendment argument her commrades are making in support of gay marriage.

By writing to a Florida Court offical did Allred (and doing it not in furtherance of representing a Californial client) engage in the unlawfal practice of law in Florida?

Gloria Allred knows very well that this lawsuit won't ever happen and if it did it would be thrown out promptly. Look at this woman's past actions. She's a well-documented media/publicity whore who latches on any controversy-du-jour with some "client" whom she throws under the bus the moment the "client"'s usefullness has ended.

Unenforcable Statute

Submitted by libBuster on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 10:34pm.

Florida has other outdated and unenforcable statutes that the legislature never replealed. One makes it a crime for unmarried people to cohabitate. Another makes it a crime for a married person to committ adultery. These statutes have not been enforced in years.

The statute Alldred cited lies in the asheap of dead and uneforcable criminal code. It is facially unconstitutional. Argumento if it were Constitutional Ms. Flukes own words provide the ultimate defense. I doubt one can find a single prosecution under this statute in decades.

What a pathetic cry for attention by Allred.

Prosecute Allred for Unlicensed Practice of Law?

Submitted by libBuster on Sun, 03/11/2012 - 6:23pm.

A search of Florida Bar records shows that Allred is not licensed to practice law in Flordia.

Allred has written an letter to a Florida prosecutor asking for prosecution of a person who comitted no crime against any person in the juridsiction she is authorized to practice law in. That action may constitute the unlicensed practice of law in Florida. If Allred wants to play that game, why dont' we prosecute her for the unlicensed Practice of Law in Florida?
