Time's Joe Klein: 'Republicans Have An Awful Lot of Scared White People in Their Party'
Time's Joe Klein said Thursday, "What the Republicans have is an awful lot of scared white people in their party."
Appearing on MSNBC's The Last Word, Klein disgustingly continued, "And one of the things they're most scared about is people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know, backgrounds polluting their white picket fence sense of America" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
LAWRENCE O'DONNELL, HOST: Joe, the cover of your magazine this week, it's the first headline you've ever had in Spanish, "Yo Decido," I decide. It says, "Why Latinos will pick the next president."
There was once a time when some Republicans believe they should be going after the Latino vote specifically because of the demography story told in "Time" magazine this week. What happened to that idea?
JOE KLEIN, TIME MAGAZINE: Boy, the thing is, you play to what you've got. And what the Republicans have is an awful lot of scared white people in their party. And one of the things they're most scared about is people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know, backgrounds polluting their white picket fence sense of America.
You know, Karl Rove was obsessed with trying to win over the Latino vote because these are people who are, many of them, religiously conservative Roman Catholics and an awful lot of strong businessmen and strong family people. It would make sense except they're doing the best they can to offend Latinos and women -- and you know, pick your category.
That deserves another look, doesn't it?
What the Republicans have is an awful lot of scared white people in their party. And one of the things they're most scared about is people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know, backgrounds polluting their white picket fence sense of America.
This is a columnist for a so-called news periodical speaking on a so-called news network in the year 2012.
And Republicans are the ones he considers racist.
I'd strongly advise him to look in the mirror but something tells me that scares him more than people that don't think exactly like he does.
Can you blame him?

Associate Editor’s note: As you are likely aware, since the financial collapse of 2008, charities and non-profit organizations have seen a sharp reduction in donations. Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Any contribution, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Media Research Center to help us battle the liberal media. Thank you.

When the liberals cannot in any defend Obama and his policies, they resort to name calling,
trashing anyone's name that scares the hell out of them (Palin). And as in the case of Bill M

KLEIN: "You know, Karl Rove was obsessed with trying to win over the Latino vote because these are people who are, many of them, religiously conservative Roman Catholics and an awful lot of strong businessmen and strong family people."
It's scary to see what they note about the Latino's because these traits currently prominent in the Latino culture is something the dems have to destroy in order to make Latinos as helpless as the Black community. If they are able to make both the Black's and Latino's into subservient cultures the White Liberals will have a guaranteed lock on elections.
So it won't be just the dead people in cemeteries who vote for democrats but the dems will also be using the votes of the walking dead to do their bidding.
Huh?

Yes, we Republicans are scared to death of "different" people like Bobby Jindal, Herman Cain, Nikki Haley, Allen West, Michelle Malkin, Thomas Sowell, Marco Rubio, and... well, we're not. We judge people on their ideas, not on their skin color. I wish Mr. Klein had been with me many years ago when I agreed to be on a college panel debating the topic of affirmative action. (I was the lone conservative against six other liberals, five of them black.) When I brought up names like Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas, I thought the blacks on the panel were going to physically attack me. One of them suggested throwing both men "in a ditch somewhere." The mostly black audience laughed and applauded. It is liberals who constantly focus on race, and they perpetuate the stereotype that people of certain races must hold only "approved" political views. Yawn.
As for me . . .

I've lived in a couple of predominantly Black neighborhood and voted for Alan Keyes. In the latter case, it had nothing to do with his skin color. Obama voters cannot say the same.
As for Joe Klein, I'll bet you $10,000 he lives in a nearly exclusively White neighborhood and would be scared to death if he ever saw a Black man drive down his street.

Barack Obama, April 6,2008 “It's not surprising, then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Joe Klein, February 23, 2012 “And what the Republicans have is an awful lot of scared white people in their party. And one of the things they're most scared about is people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know, backgrounds polluting their white picket fence sense of America.”

Unlike yourself, republicans have judged me based on the content of my character...not the color of my skin.
If the truth be told (and it is) it is white elitist liberals like yourself who are scared to death of blacks like me who go back into our communities and expose you and other democratic slave masters for the liars that you are.

Submitted by Newsbubba on Sat, 02/25/2012 - 11:07am.
We'd be nuts not to be "an awful lot of scared white people" when we see what Obama and the libcoms have in store for this country in the very near future, but don't confuse fear with "being scared," you putz. I really fear what is about to become of my country, but I'm not about to stand aside and let it just happen, so get your Shiite together because you may need it someday.
Second, you're a condescending asshole to say, "And one of the things they're most scared about is people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know, backgrounds polluting their white picket fence sense of America."
Basically you're implying that ONLY white people have that "white picket fence sense of America." I guess you think that "people of different colors and ethnicities and, you know," aren't supposed to see America in that light. Why, Joe? Because they all live in your liberal created ghettos, you bastard?
I happen to live in a town that is so diverse with different races, colors, creeds, and "sexual orientation" (or disorientation) that there is no way in hell you can top it, white boy.
Guess what? Damned near everybody here has an actual "white picket fence!" Want to know something else? Most of the locals (of all colors) and a large majority of the Eastern Europeans who have migrated here are very conservative. The only thing that keeps the place tilted liberal is the crowd of imported "white people" from the Northeast who come here to make this paradise as screwed up as their old hometowns which they left for some reason.
Before the imported liberals arrived 30 or 40 years ago, most of the "people of color" here worked and were very content. After being retrained by the liberals, they have learned to sit on their ass, collect welfare, and watch Eastern European kids take the jobs and make their own money. I'm watching a lab experiment of the USSA-to-be in play.
So, yeah, I have a fear, but I sure as hell ain't afraid, boy.
I know what you mean

We live in southwest Virginia. It was once a hotbed of furniture and textile manufacturing. The combination of Right to Work law and people raised up to work hard was a real bonus for employers. Then the landslide of federal regulations on every aspect of personnel, facilities and machinery made it too much and even in our area, we couldn't make it work like before.
Now with so many people having to leave the area to make it work, land has become a premium. What we consider outrageous prices are a bargain for liberals fleeing the hellholes they've created in the northeast. Having ruined their own home states, they bring their voting habits here and are just about to tip the balance of a once solidly conservative population.
You can hardly tell the difference between blacks and whites that were raised in the area. The dividing line are the "been heres" and the "come heres." You can spot the liberals by the sheet of bumper stickers on the back of their Priuses....Priui....Smugmobiles.
