Sarah Palin Says 'Must We' When Chris Wallace Shows Video Clip of HBO Film About Her
Fresh off her rousing keynote address to the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin sat down with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday.
When her host brought up the soon to be released HBO film "Game Change" about amongst other things her travails during the 2008 presidential campaign and suggested they watch a video clip, Palin cutely asked, "Must we?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CHRIS WALLACE, HOST: HBO -- I love getting those look in your face.
SARAH PALIN: Yes.
WALLACE: HBO has a moving coming out next month for "Game Change" about the 2008 campaign. And Julianne Moore plays Sarah Palin.
Let's watch.
PALIN: Must we?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JULIANNE MOORE (as Sarah Palin): You know what they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull -- the stick.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
WALLACE: Does she do a good Sarah Palin?
PALIN: I think we're going to call that a Sarah Palin employment act and you guys need to thank me for employing more people probably in their imitations of Sarah Palin than the president has put Americans to work.
WALLACE: So, it's a stimulus act.
PALIN: It is a stimulus act, yet. But goodness gracious, you know, I'm really not too concerned about a HBO movie based on a false narrative when there are so many other things that we need to be talking about.
WALLACE: Well, I want to ask you one more question about this because there is a more serious side. And I want to give you an opportunity to respond because you're right. The movie echoes the book in pursuing this narrative that you went into a funk during the campaign leading up especially to the debate. And I want to just show you some clips because this is going to be out there. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MOORE: It was not my fault. I was not properly prepped. I miss my baby, I miss sleeping with my baby.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She's on the verge of a complete nervous background.
MOORE: Telling me what to say, what to wear, how to talk. I am not your puppet.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
WALLACE: Millions of people are going to see that. Is it...
PALIN: Well, I'm sorry that millions of people are going to waste their time, and I'm sure that they have more productive and constructive things to do.
WALLACE: Is there any truth to that story?
PALIN: I was never in a funk. Thank God I have the right perspective on what really matters in life, Chris. And there's no need to ever be in a funk when you know what right priorities are and what really matters in this...
(CROSSTALK)
WALLACE: Are you angry? Are you upset that this story is going to get told and it will get told to a much bigger audience?
PALIN: I am ambivalent about it. I honestly will not waste my time watching it and I encourage others to find something else more productive to do.
Good advice, but it is a metaphysical certitude her many detractors in the media are going to be sitting on every word in this film waiting to share their most negative feelings about this poor woman any chance they get.
Palin and her family should be bracing for another onslaught of undeserving invective aimed right in their direction.
Heaven help them.
Associate Editor’s note: As you are likely aware, since the financial collapse of 2008, charities and non-profit organizations have seen a sharp reduction in donations. Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Any contribution, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Media Research Center to help us battle the liberal media. Thank you.

I was disappointed she said "ambivalent"

Mother Teresa wouldn't be ambivalent about this piece of trash. Why not be frank and tell Chris Wallace that she is sick and tired of the never-ending personal attacks that she and her family have been subjected to. And then ask, "Wouldn't you, or anyone else, be angry?"
It's not like they will quit if she doesn't respond.

most people have a hard time holding on to the anger that long. It is physically and mentally draining as well as a certain amount of desensitization sets in.
If she showed anger the left would love it

The less she reacts to such garbage, the less it will be talked about. Like "W", I doubt this movie will play very long.

and a shrug of indifference. Nothing pleases them more than thinking they got under your skin; it will infuriate them to be ignored. This movie will flop, despite the best that liberals can do to hype it. Americans are tired of all the attacks on Palin, and the longer liberals carry them on, the more they expose themselves for the petty, sexist creeps they are.

the HBOs

the HBOs, Bill Mahers, CNNs, MSNBCs, Views, ad nauseam have all worn that attack on Palin out-- I'm sure the majority of people out there don't give a hoot in hell what HBO puts on their channel, since most are not HBO subscribers any longer, in part due to their obvious bias against certain beliefs and points of view. They will attempt to carry the water for "their guys" leading up to the November elections-- so be it. Falling on deaf ears and closed eyes, for the most part.

Sarah Palin has it all.
We see a woman who has taken more mental and verbal abuse than any woman in the history of the world, and yet, she can still smile and go on with her life. I'd say that is a quality of a person who truly knows themselves and fully understands others. That is a true trait of a leader.
By comparison we have a snippy, thin-skinned, little "bitch" for a president who gets his panties in a wad at what he considers the smallest criticism of his actions, or questioning of his authority. "Ahhhhh, ahhhh, ... we won, John." My all time favorite, "Comeonguys!" in his whinny little voice, EVERY TIME he is questioned at a news conference.
All things considered, I'd rather follow Sarah Palin into battle than Bambi.

Maybe they are afrid she will be asked to be a running mate to whom ever wins so have to start their BS before that happens. She has more class and smarts then any Lib or tv "host/hostess" on tv.

JFK will be popping pills, on drugs most of the time, saying "Better red than dead" while banging 19 year old girls on his wife's bed, and pimping out teenage White House interns.
We need a "behind the scenes" look into Kennedy's life, based on factual, first hand knowledge.

Bobby Kennedy taking Jack's "sloppy seconds" (pardon the term, ladies!) or Peter Lawford procuring for both of them in Hollywood or Ellen Rometsch spying for the USSR or Sam Giancana sending his moll Judith Campbell as a gift-wrapped sex toy to him. And then there is JFK and Bobby using J. Edgar Hoover's files to intimidate people into silence or coercing support for their agenda.
Oh yes, that should make a very interesting counterbalance to the "granny gone mad" crap about Margaret Thatcher or the pure mythology pieces on GHB.
How long can you hold your breath?
Submitted by needle on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 9:41pm.
My first reaction was to point out that a few years ago some branch of the liberal entertainment industry made a movie about the Kennedy world, which by all accounts was somewhere between objective and flattering; but somebody in the Kennedy family objected to some part of it and so the whole thing was cancelled (censored).
Based on that, I was going to say that it might be at least a century before anyone makes the kind of movie you are suggesting.
On the other hand, it strikes me that the whole Liberal establishment is preserved nowadays by lies buttressed by deceptions built upon distortions. It all resembles a house of cards that could fall down about as easily as Mubarak, given the right triggering event. While I pray for it to happen, I also pray that it results in something better and not some mess resembling Egypt nowadays. If that happens there cold be thousands of movies about all sorts of untold stories, including a multi-season series about the Kennedy family that would make "Dynasty" look like "Little Women."
As I say in my tag line…

It was good to see that idiot Oliver Stone's movie on W barely made its production costs back. I think the movie made less than $1 million over its costs, which is still in and of itself a shame. That piece of crap from Meryl Streep doing her bad English accent as Maggie Thatcher is a colossal box office bomb, as it should be. I can't believe the director or producer would hire the reigning American Overactress to play such a distinguished role. Streep doesn't have the talent left to portray a corpse, let alone a conservative icon in some liberal masturbatorial fantasy about Lady Thatcher going mad.
The movies about Egypt are already in the works. You know, some Euroloon to play Mubarak and some idiot like Matt Damon or George Clooney to play the "hero" leftist. More cinematic toilet paper on the way.

Shows how our wonderful President Barak Hussein Obama toppled an evil dictator, albeit one who would work with the USA on vital issues including terrorism, and replaced him with the great and wonderful Muslim brotherhood. I hope that is in the movie, I mean that made sense strategically for the USA, didn't it?

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, Sarah Palin handled the flake's asinine question with ease. As for bracing for the forthcoming "onslaught of undeserving invective", Sarah Palin will handle that with ease as well. For as Rush Limbaugh has said with admiration: Sarah Palin Toys with the Media.

How long before we hear a quote from this movie as attributed to Sarah? Remember the Tina Fey remark that was said to be from Sarah. They just can't leave her or her family alone. This is the reason that more qualified Republicans don't enter the race. They want to protect their children from these "pedophiles" in the media.

That's a great comment, because it's for certain that the Republican Party won't help Sarah Palin.
That's because she is a conservative and the Republican Party is now run by so-called "Moderates" who wouldn't know or understand a "principle" if it hit them in the face. Their specialty is letting Democrats lead and then trying to slow them up a little. They're the great Democrat Enablers.

One of the selections was Republican Conservative. Rather than checking that category, I checked Other, and added the following: I'm a Rush Limbaugh Conservative. I hope they interpret that as I meant it. I will stand with the Republican Party only if they maintain the Conservative values that made this Country great, and distinguished us from the Left.
