Fareed Zakaria Asks George Soros 'Will You Create a Super PAC to Help President Obama?'
As hard as it may be to believe, CNN's Fareed Zakaria on Sunday actually tried to raise money for the reelection of the current White House resident.
Speaking with billionaire George Soros on the program bearing his name, Zakaria asked, "Will you create a Super PAC to help President Obama?" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
At the beginning of the second part of his interview with Soros, Zakaria asked, "Do you think that President Obama has done a good job all things considered?”
Not surprisingly, Soros spoke of “the problems” the current White House resident inherited being “bigger than any president could have immediately remedied.”
The billionaire made the case that Herbert Hoover “was actually a very capable president but his name is mud.”
His point was that Franklin Delano Roosevelt came in well after the Depression started and therefore had an easier time correcting the financial collapse.
“Whoever gets elected now has a much better chance of being successful than Obama had,” Soros said.
This led Zakaria to stunningly ask completely out of the blue, “Will you create a Super PAC to help President Obama?”
Honestly, is that the kind of question a representative of a so-called cable “news” network should be asking a billionaire?
Soros responded by first criticizing the current campaign finance environment and the Citizens United Supreme Court decision. He then made it clear that any contributions he'd make would be done so “very openly.”
Zakaria next asked, “Will you vote for President Obama?”
“Oh, definitely,” replied Soros.
Nice to see Zakaria not only campaigning for the current White House resident but also trying to raise money for him.
Associate Editor’s note: As you are likely aware, since the financial collapse of 2008, charities and non-profit organizations have seen a sharp reduction in donations. Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Any contribution, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Media Research Center to help us battle the liberal media. Thank you.

Create a Super PAC my ass

He is already Obama's personal ATM. He gives to all the organization like the media that support Obama. I bet there are bags of cash showing up at the WH that will never be reported. MSM get off the Koch brothers case. They are small fish compared to Soros.
What is so ironic...

is that Zakaria is acting like Soros hasn't already spent milllions and milllions helping Obama and his Progressive ideas.
Exactly

As Soros admits, he doesn't have to be so open. He's been pumping money into the pro-Obama apparatus from the beginning, and he will continue to do so.

If Barry's record could produce the votes, he wouldn't need Soros' money via a superpac.
That Fareed makes the appeal, which amounts to actually putting Soros on the spot, shows just how worried the O-bots truly are.
The usurper is done. They cannot cheat enough to win this time. They cannot spin enough to win this time. Their only "hope" is to subvert and undermine the Republian primary enough to see Mitt win the nomination with the desire to suppress overall voter turnout in the fall.
Disenfranchisement is the Democrats last straw.
Grab it punks, go ahead, grab it. Then, watch a draft at the GOP convention turning this country's political environment on its head. We very well could see it happen, and frankly, I hope we do. The survival of the GOP depends on it. Absent it, absent a late comer, I submit that the GOP may well be in its last throes as a party.
You're kidding?
Submitted by hbnolikeee on Sun, 02/12/2012 - 1:20pm.
They cannot cheat enough? As we read and write here today, SEIU and ACORN are busily printing absentee ballets for dead people, illegal aliens and cartoon character and stuffing mailbags full into car trunks to deliver to back doors in 50 states.
Ask yourself why are they against Voter ID if you doubt their "morals" and purpose.
The mailbags in the trunks

They won't deliver them until after the vote tally, when they know how many they'll need to "find" in the trunk of the car, or in someone's garage.
You might notice that

voter ID laws in places like Wisconsin are a game changer. Likewise, you might notice that the "precinct reporting" game is now being played by both parties......with Republicans refusing to give the Democrats the number they need to stuff in order to "win".
I didn't say they won't cheat. OF course they will. It is, after all, the Chicago way. However, significant gains have been made exposing their cheating and many are scared this day of the PEOPLE watching.
I stand by what I said, they cannot cheat ENOUGH to run roughshod over us as they have in the past.
So Mr. Soros....

and if he ever landed a Koch brothers interview, would he beg them to start a superpac for the GOP nominee?
or
would he accuse them of funding those evil racist insane wingnutz conservatives? and demanding they stop, beg forgiveness then commit ritual suicide on a pay per view?
what are the odds?
I really hate those crackheads at MSNBC, they don't even attempt to play it straight anymore. They openly campaign for the left, and are in your face about it.
Good point

Also, would he call the Koch Brothers "philanthropists"? It kills the liberals that David Koch is a major funder of NOVA on PBS. Interferes with the narrative that conservatives really hate that science stuff.
Yawn... yet another blantant case of Liberal media bias...

"Create a Super-Pac"? Is that jerk kidding me?
Over the past two decades Soros has already lavished hundreds of millions of dollars on "organizations" to enable the far left to capture the DEMOCRAT party and turn it into a brazen crypto-Socialist criminal enterprise.

A potted plant would be more successful than a malignant narcissist with a head full of Marxian bull-bleep.

Is this the first time I've ever heard it said that FDR had 'an easier time correcting the financial collapse'??? Really??? I think the record indicates that the poor economic environment continued during FDR's administration until the outset of WW2, which lasted a lot longer than Hoover's era.
And, seriously - does anyonye NOT think that Dracula Soros has something to do with the current 'financial collapse', as well as the 'selection' of Boy Barry??? And he's got the unmitigated gall to criticize the current campaign financial situation!!!
Yeah, and George, we all believe that your campaign contributions will be done 'very openly'..................sure thing, pal.
Since when do these foreigners know more about the USA than we do?? Where the hell was Dracula before WW2?? And how many places has he screwed up the 'finacial conditions' before he started doing the same thing to the USA???
As for Fakeed Zucchini - we allready know where this mooooooooooooooooooooslem faggot is coming from - he's part of the Boy Blunder/Dracula Soros 'Take Down America' strategy.
I'm gonna vomit.......................

Has this asshole ever told the truth? It sounds like the Europeans are finally catching up with all of illegal tricks and hopefully he will end up where he should have been all along-in jail. This is one of the men who have made billions off of other people suffering. He doesn't deserve any respect and wouldn't have any respect from anybody if it weren't for all his money. He being a wingnut liberal is where he deserves to be-among his democrat friends.

Soros funds anything that is anti-American, Democrat, liberal or just plain insane. Nobody in the media makes anything of the fact that Soros is a convicted inside trader and known market manipulator. The press is too busy composing brainless adulation pieces for their idol the Great Ear.
And why does Count Dracula
Submitted by killa37 on Mon, 02/13/2012 - 12:38am.
And why does Count Dracula always get left out of any OWS bowel movement crap, or 'eat the rich' rallys, or 'hate the evil 1 percent', or 'evil Wall Street' diatribes, or any of that type of thing??? This guy is richer than about 99.99% of the people on the planet, and he's done a LOT of damage - all over the world - to various currencies and financial institutions.
I'm wondering why he hasn't been singled out by the MSM or the libs or Democrats or progressives.............can anybody answer this simple question for the ignorant ol' Killa???
Late but I'll try

Not that you don't already know the answer -- but you didn't say it was a rhetorical question -- but I'll venture it's because as far as I know everything he funds benefits the left. If he supported conservative/Republican causes he would be as vilified by the left as the Koch brothers and others.
It's the same reason why the OWS bowel movement folks welcomed the likes of Russell Simmons and other wealthy celebrities in their midst: "We're only against the wealthy when they aren't liberals/lefties/progressives (or whatever we're calling ourselves this week)"
