Breitbart Warns MSNBC: 'We’re Watching You to Play the Race Card'

Conservative publisher Andrew Breitbart issued a strong warning to the disgracefully biased cable "news" network MSNBC Friday.

Appearing at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Breitbart said, "We’re watching you to play the race card" (video follows with transcript and commentary, vulgarity warning):

ANDREW BREITBART: I’m just going to tell you right now, I want to end it on a media bashing note because that will uplift me like a Dionne Warwick final rendition. We’re watching you to play the race card MSNBC. We saw how you cynically placed the Reverend Sharpton in a position of absurdist power. This is Dadaism, I learned that in college, that they would allow for this guy to have a show. This is Dadaism. It’s freaky. It’s Andy Kaufman. It doesn’t make sense unless you understand what they’re doing.

This is going to be the dog whistle election cycle. They tested them in 2011, so he and his pal Toure and that punk Tim Jacob Wise and Ed and Maddow can sit there and call everyone who’s Caucasian racist. “I heard it. He used ‘is’ instead of ‘are.’ He’s a racist. That’s a dog whistle.’”

Ignore it when Congressman [Carson] does it against Allen West. No more. We’re going to go after you. I bought a dog whistle. I bought a dog whistle factory, and I’m giving you dog whistles. And we’re going to listen to every word that comes out of your mouth, and we’re going to hold you to the same standard that you hold us which is an impossible one, and you’re going to have a hell of a time in 2012 because America’s finally woken to your Saul Alinsky bullshit tactics, and we’re coming to get you.

Nicely said, Andrew. We're watching, too.

Associate Editor’s note: As you are likely aware, since the financial collapse of 2008, charities and non-profit organizations have seen a sharp reduction in donations. Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Any contribution, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Media Research Center to help us battle the liberal media. Thank you.

Love Breitbart, particularly his "speeches"

Submitted by Blonde on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 12:58pm.

Because he doesn't really speechify, he just gets up and talks about whatever is on his mind, and what a brilliant mind it is!

I watched him live, yesterday.

I guess I really AM going to have to start the "racist code" list, a la Barack's Gaffes & Goofs. It gives me a headache every time I think about it, but I know w/the help of the NB'ers, it IS a doable thing.

I know we here at Newsbusters

Submitted by Scuba Dude on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 1:29pm.

I know we here at Newsbusters are listening to every word these libturds spew. Will NewsBusters be issueing us dog whistles? :-)

I listened to Mr Breitbarts entire speech last night and the thing that I am most looking forward to is the "Obama Tapes".  Let us see how well the LSM vetted President Downgrade.  Oh wait!!  I think we all know the answer to that.

⇒ Media racism?

Submitted by Cool Arrow on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 1:30pm.

Giving Sharpton his own show is the epitome of racism.

It says "Sure, Sharpton is a living, breathing stereotype, but he's the best we could find after 45 years of fighting this war.  Seems when individuals actually learn values like self-sufficiency and personal dignity, rather than collective victimhood, they leave our plantation."

Obviously Star Parker ("Uncle Sam's Plantation") would be a shoo-in at MSNBC if only she would shed her self-respect and learn to talk in what Harry Reid refers to as a "negro dialect"

Not it's not the epitome of racism

Submitted by CO2Maker on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 9:35pm.

It's called race norming. It's giving different tests to different groups until the right number of each group passes. (Remember the New Haven firemen. Yep, New Haven, as in Yale. That New Haven.)

And one more thing, CoolArrow. You used "epitome." That's a Greek word. It's a code word to signal your superiority to certain groups.  Just letting you know, they're watching! <g>

⇒ Janet, is that you?

Submitted by Cool Arrow on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 9:43pm.

I take it back. I'm back to believing MSNBC can't possibly be racist in following the soft bigotry norming of low expectations.

Mr. Breitbart and keep talking. You have millions of listeners and hopefully, the likes of MSDNC will soon be history

Dadaism?

Submitted by wingnut55 on Sat, 02/11/2012 - 2:18pm.

"We saw how you cynically placed the Reverend Sharpton in a position of absurdist power. This is Dadaism..." No, I think it is more like Dumb-dumbism to give this guy a show. Remember it only happened because this site pointed out that their line up was more white than a KKK meeting. I thought they could find someone with some intelligence, but since Rachel is a Rhodes Scholar, I guess it was the best they could do.

I love Breitbart...

...but I've been turning to this site when I hear a dog whistle, instead of his site.

It's encouraging that I'm often not alone in thought. And this place is mighty handy for refining my opinion to few words.

... the media claims that they are able to hear dog whistles - how do you think they learned to sit, stay, beg, roll over, and play dead for Obama so well?

This is hypocritical given some of Andrew Breitbart's blog posts, and subsequent followers/commenters.
