M-BS-NBC: Fineman Falsely Claims Gingrich Never Says 'President Obama' - 'It's Usually Just Obama'
The levels America's media will go to protect Barack Obama often stagger the mind.
On MSNBC's Hardball Tuesday, the Huffington Post's Howard Fineman not only complained about how the former Speaker of the House refers to the current White House resident - "I've never heard Newt Gingrich call President Obama 'President Obama.' It's usually just 'Obama'" - his assertion was totally false (video follows with transcript and commentary):
HOWARD FINEMAN: You and I have just spent the last month immersed in, listening to, and covering some of the most divisive rhetoric that I've heard on the campaign trail in years, and I've been out there for many, many years. They don't accept the President's legitimacy in many ways. I've never heard Newt Gingrich call President Obama 'President Obama.' It's usually just 'Obama.'
Really?
The transcript of Thursday's debate in South Carolina identified nine times that Gingrich referred to the current White House resident. He said "Barack Obama" seven times, "President Obama" once, and "Obama" once.
The transcript of Tuesday's debate in South Carolina identified five times that Gingrich referred to the current White House resident always as "Barack Obama."
The transcript of Saturday's debate in Florida didn't identify any times that Gingrich referred to the current White House resident by any name.
As such, in the three debates this past week, Gingrich referred to the current White House resident twelve times as "Barack Obama," once as "President Obama," and only once as just "Obama."
I guess this is another instance of why Chris Matthews recently referred to his network as "M-BS-NBC."

Associate Editor’s note: As you are likely aware, since the financial collapse of 2008, charities and non-profit organizations have seen a sharp reduction in donations. Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Any contribution, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the Media Research Center to help us battle the liberal media. Thank you.

I think that Gingrich and all other conservatives show a great deal of restraint and control by not calling the RBFSPB what he really is.

The MSM will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing to keep Obama in office.
It's as if Satan is the Pied Piper and these idiots are hypnotized by the tune he is playing. They want no rules, no boundaries and definitely no moral limitations. They are dancing to Hell's music.

The Comrade Dear Ruler.
And should the unthinkable happen next November and the American people have another brain-fart as in '08, shortly after the former commoonity pi$$er-offer will very quickly morph into the 1st Premier of the USSA.
And yes, I have an acute case of BDS - probably the worst one here.
But that doesn't mean I am wrong.

Now calling him by his last name is equally bad?

Howard Fineman: "If we are lucky, and George W. Bush is right, we are about to witness the War of the Happy Iraqis.” http://www.famousquotes.com/show/1688230/
That's the first quote that I found of Fineman referring to President Bush as merely "George W. Bush". I'm sure there are hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands and thousands, of examples of Fineman referring to either of the Presidents Bush as merely "Bush" or "George Bush". I'd be surprised if Fineman has referred to either Bush with title of "president" more than one percent of the time that he ever referred to either one of the Bush presidents.
Here is the first paragraph

Here is the first paragraph and the first sentence of the second paragraph from a Howard Fineman piece on George W. Bush in 2005. Note how Fineman refers to Bush as "Bush" once and "George W. Bush" twice but never (NEVER) refers to him as "president" or "President Bush".
"George W. Bush wanted me to know that it’s what’s inside that counts. Early in the 2000 campaign, Sen. John McCain had unexpectedly flattened him in New Hampshire. Bush seemed somehow both combative and resigned. “Whatever happens,” he told me one day, “I want you to know that I have a good heart.” I think what he meant was: I may lose, but I’m a decent guy. Also: I may play rough and nasty, but I’m a decent guy.
"Well, now we get to see what’s really in George W. Bush’s heart ...." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8485116/ns/politics-howard_fineman/t/who-inf...

This is old news but just thought it may be interesting.
When George W Bush was elected I began to notice
that Juan Williams never called him President Bush when commenting
on various news programs. I then made it a point to see if that was
the case.
It was. He called him Mr. Bush almost exclusively with an occasional
The President said so and so but never President Bush said so and so.
This lasted some time when he then began to refer to him as President Bush.
