Joan Walsh: 'Newt Is the Face of the Politics' of 'Racism and Angry White Male Rage'
Salon's Joan Walsh stooped to an even further low Monday when she said on MSNBC's pre-debate show, "Newt is the face of the politics of resentment and racism and angry white male rage."
Yes, she was talking about Republican presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (video follows with transcript and commentary):
JOAN WALSH: We have a really interesting case study in the Republican Party in these two candidates because Mitt is the candidate of vulture capitalism that hollowed out the middle class and represented and enriched the top one percent. But Newt is the face of the politics of resentment and racism and angry white male rage that let guys like Mitt do that to the economy.
As NewsBusters has been reporting, accusations of racism have been frequently tossed at Republicans by MSNBC anchors, commentators, and contributors of late so much so that it's becoming less and less possible to turn on this network without hearing such claims.
For the record, Gingrich won the female vote in South Carolina Saturday, not that facts matter to a shill like this.

Anyone noticed how the lib "journalists" always reveal in half of most every question...their position/agenda/template? Its rather amazing how they add that to most every question instead
of stopping...its added or started with..."in the light of" or some such...
as if the candidates at this point have no clue...
and the gal was 100% in the lib tank with her 4-5 questions...she probably never ever
heard 4 answers like she got tonite (or believed even one)...

.. of Obama. Right out of the gate, he was smeared as a racist for calling the inexperienced Obama a "kid." Donna Brazille declared on national TV (CNN) that Clinton's comment was racially tinged and it snow-balled from there. By the time the Dem nomination had been sewn up, Clinton was a pariah within the Dem party, and he was furious that the Obama campaign and media had smeared him as a racist.
We're simply seeing more of the same dishonest smear-tactics from the media, now targeting anyone with an R by their name as a racist: Gingrich, Romney, Santorum, Perry, Cain, the entire tea party, the entire state of South Carolina... doesn't matter who you are or what you say.
