Bill Moyers: George Soros 'Has Been the Victim of Glenn Beck' and 'Fox News Assassins'
To give you an idea just how perilously liberal Bill Moyers is, in a media discussion with Arianna Huffington Friday, he actually sung the praises of America-hating billionaire George Soros.
Not only that, Moyers also claimed Soros "has been the victim, of course, of Glenn Beck and the right-wing, the Fox News assassins" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
BILL MOYERS: I’ll tell you somebody you could, you should go for, because he has given more thought to this than almost anyone I know: George Soros, believe it or not. George Soros, whatever you think about his wealth or his politics, George Soros was next to Vaclav Havel I think the most catalytic agent for helping to bring down the Communist government behind the Iron Curtain because he, he gave everybody who wanted one an equivalent of a Xerox machine, and so they could get the message out.
And he is deeply troubled by the Orwellian power of the right-wing in this country today. He talks about it. I was on his board for a several years, and I’m off now that I’m back on the air, but I was on his board, and he is deeply troubled. He is a great devotee of the open society, the society that does change because it listens to itself, and learns from its experience.
He's been the victim, of course, of Glenn Beck and the right-wing, the Fox News assassins. So he's thought a great deal about the Orwellian idea, and he said it has arrived in this country. It is here part of the permanent, a permanent characteristic of American democracy which is therefore self-suicidally bent because of the power and force of propaganda. He’d be somebody I know would write you a really good piece for that.
There is conceivably no one person in America spending more money to undermine this nation than Soros. Yet Moyers idolizes him.

George Soros wants to destroy America and idiots like Moyers are not only his enablers they agree with him. They profess to hate capitalism but that is how they got to be wealthy. They just don't want anyone else to have the same opportunity.

He blabs about about hate from Beck and Fox while sitting there getting paid by tax-payers and probably receiving a huge Federal pension from his past working for the Gov.He must have been offered millions to return to pbs after his retirement a few months ago to again, spew his hate against all things Conservative. I mean, he is talking about THE George Soros who, at the age of 14. worked with the SS to help them capture his fellow Jews in Austria, and ship them off to the ovens, right?
THE George Soros, who has made a career of wrecking the currency and economy of entire countries to make himself wealthy? That would include the old USSR, because he was still a WWII Nazi who was at war with the Soviets, right?

Unfortunatly, when these queebies get into positions of power, they are quite capable of causing a lot of damage, as has been evidenced by Boy Barry and the Weasel...........since, even though they, themselves, are eunichs and geldings, they have the power behind them to enforce their (and whoever else is directing them) agendas. I couldn't call Ms. Botox or Nurse Ratchett 'queebies', since they are a lot meaner and more threatening than some of their male counterparts. I think you got it, amy..........but I don't know what IRL means, so I missed that part of your statement.
I've over here in the boonies, so, as my son says, I'm 'so out of the loop'.........although I'll bet my own grades on a current events exam against just about anybody!! But I didn't know what the hell a honeybadger was - and so during that LSU-Alabama playoff game, he sent me a video link of a honeybadger in action - the real kind - in Africa. Pretty mean looking aminule.........and I meant to spell it that way!!! I think that the Union thugs, and some of the czars and behind the scenes characters would qualify as a honeybadger. I guess you could make a case to compare it to Boy Barry, but I find the guy to be too much of a wimp-assed queebie to be given any rating like that. If he wasn't where he was, with the power behind him, he's just be another snot-nosed little petulant prick and twerpy tilley who thinks he's a lot smarter, and tougher, than he could ever live up to!!! IRL = In Real Life. I don't work, and the people at the VA are good people, especially my Dr.!!! Being a chronic pain patient, assumptions are always made about me, but she "gets" me and treats me with respect!
I get the issue with health records being online, but MyHealtheVet ROCKS!!! I cringe thinking of having to deal with hubby's insurance, but dealing with the VA is a walk in the park - after I went through the hard part at the beginning, that is!
I pick Van Jones, Valerie Jarret, Sharpton etal, and Maddow for honeybadger status. Fat Ed tries, but his logic train derails too often! I'd add Lawrence O'Donnell, but he's too earnest, lol.

I drove hubby nuts saying "He has blue/green lips" but hubby is color blind, so he thought I was nuts!
I didn't find any comments for the longest, then when I did, the blue/green was seen as purple by others - I wonder how he went from that blue/green cast {smoking?} to purple???

The only reason they hate Hitler so much is bc he attacked the motherland, before that the communists in America wanted nothing to do with the war, after 1941 they felt betrayed by their friend the furher. And Soros IS a communist, he wasn't trying to tAke them down, he wants a one world communist government and the American middle class clinging to guns and religion are the biggest road block he has to get over. Soros money has to behind the Newt super pac that put out "When Romney came to town." The money was laundered though several groups and several organizations. It has to be made by them with the intent to give it to DNC to use but when Newt went down that anti-Bain path they jumped at the opportunity to give it to have it with a Newt pac behind it.

The convicted insider trader who is running the Obama administration is most ironic. Obama goes off tilting at windmills with all of the supposed Wall Street greed, while his biggest sponsor is one of the worst offenders of trading abuses.

Georgie's conviction for insider trading was not going to be dropped. It's only the idiots in the White House who act like he did nothing wrong. And now of course, their lapdogs in the media like that senile old fool Moyers.
Soros has been funding organizations that have hammered American conservatives for years, and this is just another example of how they can dish it out but not take it. A very standard liberal response.

Unless Soros is completely unaware of what's really going on here and what his money is actually being used for, he's a liar, on top of being a bigger threat to our economy and way of life than any other person on earth right now.
The left's level of control over the gov't AND information greatly exceeds that of the right. The presidency (one that regularly oversteps it's authority) is controlled by Dems, as is the senate (which is run by a hyper-partisan thug tho obstructs everything, blame the opposition for his own actions and the problems they cause, AND acts like the opposition should even exist, let alone actually have it's own agenda), and a good chunk of the courts are left-wing partisan, with the Supreme Court being only one heartbeat away from becoming a left-wing activist court. Over 90% of media outlets have an obvious left-wing bias, alleged news organizations like NBC source far-left attack sites like Media Matters and Kos, and the mainstream medai as a whole is indistinguishable from DNC officials and spokespeople. Together, the DNC and their MSMinions go out of their way to tear down conservative figures and suppress opposition views, while dishonestly spinning and puffing up Democrats, including blaming conservatives for everything Dems do wrong.That's as Orwellian as it gets.
