Chris Christie Texts Scarborough: Who's Next on Morning Joe to Discuss GOP Race - George Soros?

By Noel Sheppard | December 12, 2011 | 10:45

Noel Sheppard's picture

Chris Christie on Monday perfectly illustrated the beef conservatives have with MSNBC's Morning Joe and its host.

Apparently fed up with the show's parade of liberal guests, New Jersey's Republican governor texted Joe Scarborough in the middle of the program, "Who's next this morning on Morning Joe to talk about the GOP race - George Soros?" (video follows with commentary):

Co-host Mika Brzezinski, after introducing a Libertarian guest said, "Governor Christie is more than welcome to come join the conversation any time he would like."

Scarborough agreed and extended the invitation, but maybe he should get the point that conservatives have been making for years which is even with his presence, the number of liberal guests far exceeds the conservative ones and makes for a tremendously biased presentation.

It should be quite a wake up call for the supposedly conservative host to have a sitting governor he respects send him a text in the middle of his program pointing out his show's glaring deficiency.

Bravo, Governor. Bravo!

I have no reason to believe

Submitted by Captain Repus on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 10:55am.

I have no reason to believe that Mika's breasts have been artificially enhanced other than the fact that most women of her advanced age wear their belly button between them. Oops, sorry, wrong subject.

MJ is nothing more than a circle jerk of democrat political assassins who spew White House and talking points on a daily 3 hour DNC infomercial. The combined IQ of the daily round table is something less than that of plant life.

Joe would have Chris on the show...

Submitted by KyWriter on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 11:00am.

...but none of his liberal gangbangers would dare show up, and Joe and Mika do not have sufficient brainpower to debate him.

Meeeeka is there for two big reasons...........

Submitted by Tomorama on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 11:12am.

Daddy and she is a lefty.........................

I would ask all Conservatives to call out the network morning shows that do this as well.

They have a larger audience and NEVER have on a Conservative to discuss the debates or the race.

Fox for all of it's supposed right wingism, will have one of each on to discuss.

But that is fair and balanced and the networks have a president to re-elect.

I am already FN SICK of hearing about the Romney wager "gaffe" as who gives a f***, did it add or kill a job like Obysmal is doing?

I LOVE the idea the Republicans are using with the NEEDED pipeline being added to the payroll tax debate, maybe the a-holes like Meeeeeka and the networks will actually TELL the truth about this and not bury it again.

Scarborough is the perfect

Submitted by okie-pastor on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 11:33am.

Scarborough is the perfect "conservative" for MSNBC

The one who will take constant pot shots at real conservatives. Good thing people see MSNBC for what it is a sputtering liberal propaganda machine

I agree. I am sick of hearing

Submitted by Gat New York on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 11:54am.

I agree. I am sick of hearing Scarborough qualify every anti-GOP comment he makes with "as you know I am a small government conservative" or say "as we conservatives believe."  If he were any of those he would not have to qualify his statements.

Considering the miniscule audience MSNBC gets there really is no reason for a conservative to show up to any of these shows and conservatives should simply let Scarborough and MSNBC wallow in their own ignorant self-reinforcement.

Someone show the Harvard Economist

Submitted by Utherpend on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 1:25pm.

I woke up a little early and was flipping thru channels and noticed Jeff Mirron with a Harvard tag on Morning Joe so I stopped expecting to hear his parrot the White House party line. I couldn’t be more wrong he eviscerated the Morning Joe Hack who kept claiming that the TARP was good but never giving any facts, while Jeff Mirron would quote year and source of his facts that it was a failure and the wrong thing to do. He described how the actions of the government were nothing more than failed policies that were tried in the 20's and 30's and failures even then.

"For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security."

Wasn't that worth watching MJ right there? The look on Rattner's face was *priceless* - his arrogant "So there" when he made what he *thought* was the BEST point to bolster his argument was thoroughly eviscerated by Jeff Miron!!!

I notice Jeff easily conceded this started under Pres. Bush - why is the left *never* seems to concede *anything*?

I love Chris Christie...this

Submitted by marpel on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 1:49pm.

I love Chris Christie...this is why he should be President. Nonetheless, I think that Joe is so entrenched with the Libs of MSNBC, he didn't get the point! I'm really sick to death of Joe Scarborough entertaining so many liberals on this show and dissing the GOP like he does. And in the same breath, reminds us all that he's a conservative....BS!!! He's a big phoney!! A FAUX CONSERVATIVE. So, they should call his show Morning Faux instead of Morning Joe.

He might be saying all that stuff, but just his stance on global warming is enough for me to say "no way" to his being president.  He's also, to use your words, a faux conservative.

I met him right before all this happened with him, when he was healthy, and youthful! However, two things stick out:

Number #1-I wish he was more right leaning, cause he'd kick A and take names in this country, like hes done in NJ so far.

#2-What the hell is is doing watching Morning Schmo in the FIRST place?

Why liberal overload?

Submitted by metaphorsbwithu on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 5:14pm.

The reason liberals outnumber conservatives on these shows by anywhere from 5 to 1 to perhaps 9 to 1 is because the left believes in "fairness".

No surprise. What do you expect from a corporation/network that

Submitted by Rush Fan on Mon, 12/12/2011 - 6:09pm.

made the decision to cater to the Progressive crowd. MSNBC's Progressive agenda may payoff in the long term for two important reasons. The Hispanic population continues to grow, and is projected in the not to distant future to be the majority in many states. Secondly, with Liberal/Progressive teachers indoctrinating our youth so they understand the importance of how the Progressive movement looks out for the "working man and women" by seeking fairness and wealth distribution, MSNBC will have a growing supply of young ideologue viewers for years to come.
