Bill Maher: Newt Gingrich 'Is a Fat Womanizing Blowhard'
As NewsBusters previously reported, Bill Maher spent the bulk of his final program Friday disgracefully attacking Republicans.
After saying on HBO's Real Time, "Jon Huntsman can suck my c--k," the host played a satirical movie trailer about Newt Gingrich which concluded with the announcer calling the former Speaker of the House "a fat womanizing blowhard" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
BILL MAHER, HOST: I saw this on your show the other night about Newt Gingrich. I think it’s fascinating.
CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC: What was it?
MAHER: Well, the fact that as one after another of the Republican candidates sort of flames out, there's one guy who's been there all along who maybe you hadn't noticed and Hollywood noticed. And they made a romantic comedy about this. Would you like to see the trailer? Show them the trailer.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANNOUNCER: The Republican base was a girl who thought she had it all figured out, but she had a problem.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Every time I meet a guy he turns out to be a total creep. Either he's a drinker or he's a phony or he's just all hands. I must be cursed.
ANNOUNCER: But now she's discovering a brand-new someone who's been there all along, and everything old is Newt again.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I suddenly realized he's been there. He's been there all along.
ANNOUNCER: Kristin Bell is the Republican base, and Newt Gingrich is the old friend who never really went away.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I'm not just settling for him. I am choosing to settle for him.
ANNOUNCER: Coming this spring, it’s “Mr. Right," because sometimes the best you can do is a fat womanizing blowhard.
[Cheers and applause]
So Rick Perry was depicted as "a drinker," Mitt Romney "a phony," Gingrich "a fat womanizing blowhard," and Huntsman in an earlier segment was told to suck Maher's penis.
Not reported previously, Herman Cain was attacked in the opening monologue as were all of the candidates in Maher's final New Rule.
This is what HBO considers acceptable fare these days.

Gingrich is clearly one of the smartest guys in American politics and the ever-pitiful Maher knows it. Newt would wipe the floor with Obama in any kind of one-on-one debate (hell, Obama barely managed to hold his own against the likes of Richardson). Therefore, it's necessary to resort to the personal attack thing: Womanizer. Fat (oh, isn't that going to encourage bullying against fat kids, Bill?) And, sooner or later I'm sure, a racist as well.
The left is absolutely pathetic. They're like the people at work who don't actually produce anything and, instead, sit around sniping at others all day. Dead wood.
BTW, Bill: How's that murder/rape/anit-semitism thing working out at those OWS encampments. Great to see Obama and the left align themselves with these scumbags early on :-).

What amazes me is that these people never talk about the conversion of Newt Gingrich. The admission he has made many times that he made errors in the past and that he tried to atone for those previous sins. That has always puzzled me why these people never cover that side of the story.

This the man who turned around what was projected to be a two trillion dollar deficit in the Clinton administration, gave the country four years of balanced budgets and when he was driven from office by a monsoon of what turned out to be false ethic charges a two trillion dollar surplus was projected. I think that we can now assume that Newt Gingrich is scaring people in the DNC and the Obama administration yellow.
Then again yellow could be their natural coloration and red the assumed color.

...because Bill Maher's pseudointellectual credentials could not make it past Newt's. Newt has a PhD in modern European history from Tulane and was a college professor. Billy-boy was doing cocaine lines, smoking pot and probably having multiple STDs diagnosed and treated regularly at free clinics while Newt was actually educating young minds to make a difference. I would take Newt's thoughtful historical analysis, complete with appropriate references and well-documented intelligence over Bill's genital humor any day of the week.
