MSNBC's Matthews, O'Donnell, Schultz and Sharpton Have Totally Ignored Solyndra for Six Weeks Now
Wednesday marked the six week anniversary of solar company Solyndra declaring bankruptcy.
Despite this, MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, and Al Sharpton have yet to report one single word about this growing scandal on their respective prime time programs.
This goes hand in hand with the lack of coverage the broadcast networks have given this matter.
All this silence comes amidst new revelations about the government's $535 million loan to this company as USA Today reported Friday:
Obama administration officials and Republicans stepped up the battle today over whether the Department of Energy broke federal law when it restructured a half-billion-dollar loan guarantee for the now-bankrupt solar-panel manufacturer Solyndra.
Recently released e-mails show that Treasury Department officials were concerned about the restructuring of the loan guarantee to the California clean-energy company, because it put private investors ahead of taxpayers for repayment on part of the loan if Solyndra defaulted.
Republicans have pointed to one e-mail from Mary Miller, an assistant Treasury secretary, who wrote in an Aug. 17 e-mail that Treasury's "legal counsel believes that the statute and the DoE regulations both require that the guaranteed loan should not be subordinate to any loan or other debt obligation." Miller also suggested that the Energy Department consult the Justice Department.
As is plainly evident, this scandal continues to grow with each passing day.
Yet after six weeks, four of MSNBC's five prime time commentators still haven't said a word about it.
The fifth, Rachel Maddow, has logged one report on the subject.
Exactly how do the folks at MSNBC explain such a boycott of an important issue?

They are Dems--> every minute, of every day, of every year.
I know about Solyndra because I watch Fox News.

I have programmed my TV so that it skips over MSNBC. I don't want to watch it even for a few seconds while I surf up and down the channels.

If they were a true news organization, they would cover this story. Had Bush done this, MSNBC would be on a roof with a magephone screaming about this story. They are NOTHING but an arm of the DNC and the official ass-wipers of Pres. Obama.

A guy at work was quick to point out to me that Fox News wasn't covering the "News of the Day" scandal in England when that was the current event. Since I watch Fox alot and he barely blinks on it, I had to inform him that yes, they sure were.
He hasn't brought to me this about Solyndra not being covered on MSNBC. Go figure.
Same here, GregE

It's seems silly when you have to explain to a liberal what "Owned by the same company that owns this network" means.
What about Fast and Furious?

Solyndra is small potatoes compared to Fast and Furious.
Here's a sad fact: I asked 4 or 5 people I work with if they knew anything about Fast and Furious or Gunwalker. These people are all college educated professionals and see themselves as being smart and well-informed. None of them knew anything about the Fast and Furious or Gunwalker scandals. In fact, when I told them what it was, two of them accused me of making the whole story up.

The government would be happy to hear this. Americans are so busy with all kinds of things, government can do all kinds of crap and get away with it, and even have Americans telling others that they're just making it up.
A friend told me he didn't believe that 47% of Americans paid no federal income taxes, even though the numbers are simple enough to find and no one, even liberals, deny it. I found another piece that said it was 51%. He replied that that is not mathematically possible. Based on that I think his having achieved his high school diploma is mathematically impossible.
Those who adore government, and are in government adoring it, are elated with things like this running rampant.

i asked a group of my friends if they watched the news. they all said they did. i then asked them if they had ever heard of Fast And Furious. they all looked at me funny. All except one said they had not heard of it. the one who had said CNN briefly mentioned once.
The stink of Solyndra and Fast and Furious are being covered over by the democrat alley cats in the media litterbox. And just like a triflin' old alley cat, they cover a little bit, sniff to see if there is an odor, then cover some more. and i mean that in the most disparaging and disrespectful way possible. Except to the cat. Those i respect.
Don't underestimate solyndra

Fast and furious is definitely very bad and mostly for Obamunist and his administration. This will hopefully come to roost in Os ouster in the next election.
However, if we are to repeal unconstitutional healthcare, pass cut cap and balance and a host of other legislative matters, we will definatley need a veto proof majority in both houses. This Solyndra scam and many others will be uncovered and laid at the feet of the democrat party. I believe in the end, the stimulus slush fund and all the corruption that it rendered, will do tremendous damage to the democrat party. As for OWS, it will soon be swept up and when those on K street and Madison Avenue see the writing on the Wall St, the news coverage will suddenly turn and become more objective. Not fair and balanced but more objective.

And if conservatives across the board would have a clear and concise message, they could assure that they won't squander the opportunity to be elected in even larger majorities soon. But, the message has to be even more clear than a liberal because the media is going to muddle it as best they can, and I can never fully trust that a political party establishment won't squander a golden opportunity.
What's missing from the Solyndra story?

The problem for the cabal news networks is that there's no way in the Solyndra story for them to take a swipe at the racism of Perry or Cain or the religious beliefs of Romney or Buchanan. If there was even the slightest connection, they'd be all over it like stink on s*** (or poop on a police car).

And they will ignore it for another 6 weeks. Actually, I'm surprised. They are passing up a golden opportunity to rant and rave against the "racist" investigation.
