Matthews Does Ten Minute Segment on GOP Presidential Race Without Mentioning Herman Cain Once
On Thursday, Zogby released a shocking poll finding Herman Cain twenty points ahead of Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential nominee race.
Despite this, Chris Matthews on the syndicated television show bearing his name this weekend did a ten minute segment about this race without mentioning Cain's name once (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CHRIS MATTHEWS: First up, a year and a month from now we will either say yes to a new four-year term for President Obama or turn the job over to either Mitt Romney or Rick Perry. That's now what it looks like is the true choice. The latest polls are very tough for President Obama. 55 percent of voters say they do not believe he will win. So if you're Romney, on top in GOP polls, you might be very hopeful.
But not so fast, Mitt. Consider these reasons why it still could be Rick Perry. First, Perry’s got more debates to come. His big drop came after debate mistakes. Romney won three in a row and can't budge above 25 percent. What happens if Perry has a good debate? Also, Perry’s got cash to hang in there. He raised a hefty $17 million in just the first few weeks. And finally, so far, Mitt Romney’s not drinking the tea. Will his refusal to join the Tea Party lead them to Perry? And Dan, that's my big question. It looks like it's still a big fight on that side. Those two.

From that point forward, Matthews and guests Dan Rather, Katty Kay, Lizzie O'Leary, and Howard Fineman spent ten minutes discussing this race without the name Herman Cain ever coming up.
I guess they all missed this from Zogby Thursday:
Herman Cain has opened up a 20 percentage point lead among likely Republican primary voters in the race for the Presidential nomination, and also holds a narrow lead among all likely voters over President Barack Obama.
Cains share of the GOP primary has jumped 10 percentage points since Sept. 26 and is now at 38%. Mitt Romney is second with 18%, followed by both Rick Perry and Ron Paul, at 12% each.
The Oct. 3-5 IBOPE Zogby interactive poll also matches Cain, Romney and Perry against Obama. Cain led Obama, 46%-44%, while Obama is one-point ahead of Romney, 41%-40%, and leads Perry, 45%-40%.
So not only does Cain have a 20 point lead over Romney and a 26 point lead over Perry, he's also the only one of the three leading Obama in a head-to-head matchup.
Yet not one of these five so-called journalists in a ten minute discussion about this race mentioned his name once.
Seems almost impossible unless a decision had been made before the cameras started rolling for this to happen.
Nice job, Chris. You're one heck of a newsman.

In the Leghumper's little methedrine-addled peabrain...........there is no 'race' in the Presidential 'race'!!! Remember, he even 'forgot' that Boy Barry was BLACK!!! Even when he's a damn psuedo-black!!! So what makes you think that a guy like Herman Cain, who IS a legitimate 'black', is going to rate in Mathews' assesment of the situation???

may be a tad bit racist, not mentioning Cain who is ahead in polls. He must be furious he can't constantly repeat "Republicans are all racist" and will have to change his whole platform of bashing, this time around

Why Sarah Palin is not running... she has a bigger mission

I submit a video you have to watch. It is Sarah Palin's speech on Friday night. This is what I consider to be one of, if not the best, speech that Sarah Palin has ever given... especially after her saying no to running for the Presidency.
Question... after you watch it, do you really think any of the Republican candidates could or would be able to make a similar speech. That is why she is not running. She has a bigger mission.... to attack the entire corrupt system and to promote her Conservative principles.

The left wing media seems to be in the mist of focus group testing on how best to attack Mr Cain and those who support him.
We see small experimental balloons being floated out here and there, ( I personally thought the white journalist schooling Herman Cain on being black tactic would have more impact:) but most prefer the "he doesn't exist" route, at least until the winning tactic makes it's way around.
Cain indeed poses a dilemma for the media who worked so hard the last 3 plus years to portray millions of Americans as racists.
Chris Matthews and the White Media Drinking Fountain

The skeleton's out of the closet for the Progressive left and its media institution: they are only post-racial in that they've moved the plantation out of the field and into political and societal constructions. Descending from a proud tradition of minority-eradicating eugenics and forced sterilizations, the post-Progressives are a transformation that realized such physical efforts were not only expensive, but unnecessary.
When a man is eager and willing to chain himself to the master's plantation, to work in his fields, to deliver his hard work and political power for the benefit of the master, why suppress this productive opportunity?
Of course, the maintenance of the Lippmanian produced media narrative must never allow the slave to believe he can be equal with the master. To show the slaves a fellow Progressive-determined Inferior as a master in another political party would be an invitation to a slave revolt. Blacks, Native Americans, Indians, Women, Gays must all know their place. Chris Matthews is more than happy to keep his MSNBC drinking fountain rich, white, male and academically pedigreed.
The Cain Mutiny

Understand. For a couple of decades now the success of the Democratic party, has depended upon almost total monopolization of the African-American vote. That vote is the difference between the Dims losing and winning in many of the important electoral states. What subgroup do the Dims appeal to except their Left Loon base and African-Americans? Cain appearing as the choice of Republicans threatens that monopoly. Even a pick up of 20% to 30% of the African-American vote spells doom to the Dims. Count on them ignoring Cain until they find some way to destroy his candidacy. Of course, as an African-American, I've long since felt that the best thing African-Americans can do for themselves, is to put their votes in play. To stop being tied to one party.

I just wish more of us would have the same "epiphany". The sooner our people break the chains of the one party vote the better off "all" of us would be.
Though I will not vote for every "R" I will never vote for another "D" again.

Mathews and company are still trying to push the two man race theme, got to be Romney or Perry. If I remember correctly at this point four years ago the media was telling us the ’08 race would be Giuliani and Clinton. Thirteen months is a long time in politics but have no doubt, Herman Cain has these media types scared spitless.
The reason he ignored Cain is easy to figure out...

The only thing liberals fear more than a conservative woman (Palin) is a conservative black man. How much would you pay to see Herman Cain debate the hapless Obama? Cain would mop the floor with little Barry.

Cain schooled Bill Clinton on health care back in the 90's on national TV. Cain would school Obama on much except for victimhood, Marxism, how to suck up or be a weakling to enemies, how to screw your friends and family, how to lie boldfaced into the camera, and how to ruin America. In those things Obama has advanced degrees.

Maybe if we just ignore Herman Cain he'll go away! The media won't pick our candidate this time around. This ain't no McCain. Herman Cain is "raising cain" with the liberal Democratic establishment. Matthews and his crowd know "the Hermanator" is out there but are scared to face a real conservative who sticks to conservative principles.

(a line by Dave Barry years ago)
Who, genuinely interested in voting for a Republican president, would dream of considering consulting Chris Matthew’s misinformation, disinformation and babblings for a millisecond?
Clearly Chris is losing it, and is at the point where he simply has nothing of value to say.
So sad. What a waste of sub-sub-mediocre talent.
