Al Sharpton Begins One Third of His MSNBC Programs Saying 'Hey, Republicans'
Six weeks into his new job as an MSNBC host, Al Sharpton has made it crystal clear he despises members of the GOP.
So far he has begun one third of his shows hatefully saying, "Hey, Republicans" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
- October 5: "Hey, Republicans, the people want fairness. Can't you hear them?"
- October 3: "Hey, Republicans, looks like you've been stood up."
- September 30: "Hey, Republicans, you sure you want to go after this president's leadership?"
- September 29: "Hey, Republicans, the people are speaking. Isn't it about time you started listening?"
- September 28: "Hey, Republicans, you wanted a fight? Now you've got the warrior-in-chief."
- September 27: "Hey, Republicans, your supposed savior is just a bully."
- September 26: "Hey, Republicans, it's game on. Are you ready for this?"
-
September 23: "Hey, Republicans, this time what happens on the road is not staying on the road."

- September 21: "Hey, Republicans, is no all you know?
That's nine out of his first 27 shows that Sharpton actually began with some hostile statement or question beginning with "Hey, Republicans."
Is this really acceptable at a television station that calls itself a "news network?"
For the record, according to LexisNexis, there have been no similar incidents at Fox News when either Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, or former host Glenn Beck began a program with "Hey, Democrats."
Not one in all these years.
Irrespective of his political leaning, I can't imagine Roger Ailes tolerating that at the network he runs.
What's Phil Griffin's excuse?

Where's the report on that? I've been around a few black race baiters and they usually clear a room or make it silent. They are annoying and not a pleasure to be around if your white or black.

If I cared at all what Sharpton said or thinks...
Demorats and leftists are just schoolyard bullies who never grew up. They love bullying, calling people names, and so on. And like all bullies, they only enjoy it when their targets can't fight back. So making a fake 'news' network, staffed with nothing BUT bullies who are all agreed in who their targets are was the only way they could carry on. And carry on they do.
Every day, they harangue, insult, mock, ridicule and make faces at their hated targets, and they feel secure that no one can touch them.
Well, no one's watching either.
If the "moderates" truly wanted us to work together
Submitted by TheHistorian on Thu, 10/06/2011 - 9:02am.
If the "moderates" truly wanted us to work together, then they would raise their voices on why Sharpton, Sgt Schultz, and the rest of the MSNBC mafia live on. They claim to challenge Rush, yet never is there any fact to back up their statements. It is always a baiting tone, an "I hate" tone, etc. These guys, even though they are liberals, would soar in the ratings if people could get any rational thought from their shows. It is only the leftist bullies and MRC/Newsbusters that keep them on the air. Has Newsbusters ever considered how far these guys ratings would drop if they weren't giving them free publicity?

Is there some reason each video snippet is followed by the printed version of Sharpton's words? Is that for the hearing impaired?...a helpful translation for those who believe the Reverend isn't speaking in English?
For the record, I think O'Reilly's preferred salutation is "Listen up, you liberal pinheads!"
[Also for the record, just kidding...can't stand Al...refuse to watch Al...am flabbergasted MSNBC gave Al his own show]

but felt the need to make a moral equivalency even though your salutation doesn't really exist. I've read O'Reilly and he is at best 'economically challenged' - not that there is anything wrong with that!
he may or may not do a good interview but what I've read of him made me wonder how anybody on the right could listen to him on anything relating to economics and eventually nearly everything is related to economics.
The problem with O'Reilly

Repitition. Not necessarily by you in particular or even this site alone, perhaps I spent too much time at Huffington today, but this type of joke is repeated to the point of being a seemingly passive/agressive approach to making a point - one that does or does not exist.
In this case I would took general exception because, like you, I hear more in O'Reily's comments than he actually says. I hear the arrogance of someone who is referring to anyone who disagrees with his self proclaimed no-spin opinion as being a pin-head.

But is your delusion so complete that you'd think any one in possession of the least bit integrity or honesty would waste any time suffering the ignorant rantings of someone guilty of fraud, someone who promotes black victimology, an expert in race baiting and a person who is just generally not so smart? That you were able to appear on television in spite of these stellar credentials says everything there is to say about msnbc specifically and television in general. Tell your story walking.
