Obama Gaffe: 'Asking a Billionaire to Pay the Same Tax Rate as a Jew - as a Janitor'
Following his high-profile speech to the United Nations Wednesday concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it appears Barack Obama has Jews on the brain.
Speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation gala Saturday evening, the President had a little slip of the tongue saying, "If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew -- as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor" (video follows with transcript):
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: The reform we're proposing is based on a simple principle: Middle-class folks should not pay higher tax rates than millionaires and billionaires. (Applause.) That's not crazy -- or it's good crazy. (Laughter.) Warren Buffett's secretary shouldn't pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffett. A teacher or a nurse or a construction worker making $50,000 a year shouldn't pay higher tax rates than somebody making $50 million. That's just common sense.
We're not doing this to punish success. This is the land of opportunity. I want you to go out, start a business, get rich, build something. Our country is based on the belief that anybody can make it if they put in enough sweat and enough effort. That is wonderful. God bless you. But part of the American idea is also that once we've done well we should pay our fair share -- (applause) -- to make sure that those schools that we were learning in can teach the next generation; that those roads that we benefited from -- that they're not crumbling for the next bunch of folks who are coming behind us; to keep up the nation that made our success possible.
And most wealthy Americans would agree with that. But you know the Republicans are already dusting off their old talking points. "That's class warfare," they say. In fact, in the next breath, they'll complain that people living in poverty -- people who suffered the most over the past decade -- don't pay enough in taxes. That's bad crazy. (Laughter and applause.) When you start saying, at a time when the top one-tenth of 1 percent has seen their incomes go up four or five times over the last 20 years, and folks at the bottom have seen their incomes decline -- and your response is that you want poor folks to pay more? Give me a break. If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew -- as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that. (Applause.) It's about time.

I didn't see any teleprompters, so I wouldn't call this so much as a gaffe as the way he really is. His Islamic upbringing rears its ugly head again.
If the Jewish population in America want to continue to vote for this pile of excrement, they deserve everything they have coming to them. They should know better by now that this guy does NOT have their best interests in mind, nor the Democrats.

Sometimes I think it's part of a plan. To argue a foolish and idiotic liberal point forces you to lower yourself into the same gutter level of thinking. Like the example from the Governor of New York when a drunk-driving illegal immigrant hit and dragged a citizen on his motorcycle, he said, 'this is a DUI incident, not an immigration issue, if (the illegal) were a citizen he would still have been driving drunk." [paraphrsing].
The premise is so ridiculous that it's hard to know where to start. It's like the old adage, "If you argue with a fool, observers cannot tell which is the fool." or something like that.

I can't comment on the Freudian "Jew" gaffe. I'll concentrate on another group Obama dislikes -- "the rich."
He tells his simple-minded followers, "Let's all hate on these people -- they're an illustration of why we need to raise taxes" -- much as Stalin used the Kulaks as his excuse for seizing, or "collectivizing," the entire agricultural segment in the U.S.S.R. Demagogues always resort to the same limited bag of tricks.
Here's a bit of class warfare and math: if the janitor is in the lowest tax bracket, he pays 10%; the billionaire earns at the highest tax rate, which is 35%. Mussobama know that; he's just using evasions and sophistries to stir up his brainless mob. Then he can raise taxes on everyone, because he has some kind of brain-rotting mania for doing just that.
Why? Maybe there are just too many white people in the 35% bracket, and he wants to (as Marc Lamont Hill puts it) "make rich white people's money disappear." That's the kind of president we have -- a "special needs" Mussolini with only malice for his country.

have to disagree with you about President Obama disliking the rich. He loves the rich and they are his friends. He has vacations with the rich, he travels with the rich and he has given incredible economic advantages to the rich. Which is why most are happy to sit back and allow him to use them as a political stepping stool. Afterall, you wouldn't want to lose your Obamacare waiver now would you?

I returned from business, caught up on some news and was really shocked that Newbusters apparently hadn't touched on the Karen Hunter claim that the AP report of Obama's speech was racist because it didn't correct his grammar. So, I wrote my thoughts on the subject...

As reported by AP, Obama said:
“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” he said, his voice rising as applause and cheers mounted. “Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”
“Journalist” Karen Hunter immediately slapped the racist label on the AP report, claiming that accurately quoting the President’s fiery rhetoric, was racist. She claimed that the verbatim quote (without adding the dropped “g”) was inherently racist. Hunter screams racist more often than Michael Moore screams for a second helping of cheesecake so it is no wonder – she was doing what she does best, crying “racist!” She needs to protect the Panderer and Chief.
Hunter has, many times in the past, laid claim that criticizing Obama is inherently racist. She has claimed criticism of his health care plan was based, not on substance, but on race. In fact anything her messiah does wrong or mucks up (and for which he is criticized) isn’t substantive, it is race based. I have listened to her speak . She is, at best, average at debate and communicating and usually feckless and overmatched when confronted with facts. She is full of crap about 90% of the time and this is in the 90% category. Hunter, astonishingly complained in this instance, that the AP should have corrected Obama’s grammar and reported his rhetoric, not as spoken, but how it should have been said – with corrected grammar. One can conclude that because Mr. Obama is “black”, media should correct his grammar, thus giving the false appearance he was NOT pandering and acting “black”. What is more is more race-based than inaccurately reporting what a black man says in order to make him “say” what he in fact, didn’t say. Imagine had Obama’s grammar been correct and a reporter had misquoted him with a bunch of dropped “g”s? The Reporter, rightly would be fired and labeled racist. Obama’s intent was to act black, so reporting anything less would be wrong.
The AP didn’t inaccurately report what he said – it just didn’t fix the clearly intended blackcentic dialect the Ivy League educated, raised by whites Obama said, and how he said it. Obama intended to act black; that is undeniable if you watch the speech. He intentionally dropped the “g” to act like he was preaching from the pulpit of a Black Baptist Church. He wanted to convey his blackness, his gravitas to his audience. At the Black Caucus dinner Obama was a black man preaching to a black audience. At his recent campaign event at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, he was a rich urbane Ivy Leaguer. The man is a chameleon and not in a good way.
But apparently not for Hunter. She wants the media to correct the mistakes of her messiah - and when they don’t … it’s racism. The AP reporter was just reporting what the President said. For Hunter, the Reporter was duty-bound to correct his grammatical errors.
The reporter said in response:
“Normally, I lean toward the clean-it-up school of quote transcribing—for everyone… “But in this case, the President appeared to be making such a point of dropping Gs, and doing so in a rhythmic fashion, that for me to insert them would run clearly counter to his meaning. I believe I was respecting his intent in this. Certainly disrespect was the last thing I intended.”
Thus the reporter had to, in essence, apologize for accurately reporting what Obama said. I listened to the speech. All 27 minutes. Within the first 20 seconds he thanks a “brother” in the audience, and then thanks Dr. Joseph Lowery for his civil rights efforts. He thanked him and reminded the audience that he’s “turnin’ 90 this year” and thanked him for “causin’ a ruckus”. That, was in the first minute. A few minutes later he was really getting into his blackness as he spoke of “runnin’ for President”, and “doin’ the right thing…” He chastised the opposition with: “ya’ll used to like buildin’ roads.. what happened?.. they used to love to build some roads… [chuckles]. And, “I listen to some of ya’ll … through the muck and the drivin’ rain”. By about the 20 minute marker, I was furious. Obama was playacting and speaking of civil rights and activism in the first person like he marched on Selma and took the blows from cops’ batons. Many might recall that Obama claimed that he was born from the Selma march – claiming his white mother and black father were able to create him because of Selma. He was born in 1961 – Selma happened in 1965.
Obama concluded with his flurry quoted above. One must wade through 26 minutes to get to the last 30 seconds. You really must listen to it to understand and feel it, and to grasp it. He built his sermon to a crescendo, and was clearly acting like a Southern Baptist preacher working up the pews. It disgusted me. Obama never knew his black African father. People should not forget Obama’s father was not “African-American”, he was African. Obama didn’t descend from slaves, he never lived in the south. He never suffered the indignity of “whites only” bathrooms or having to sit in the back of a bus. Obama was raised by a white mother and when she died, white grandparents. He went to a private high school. He graduated from Columbia and then went to Harvard Law. He’s about as Southern black as I am Bavarian German. He has as much right to speak like a black preacher as I have a right to speak with a Bavarian accent.
No Ms. Hunter, reporting Mr. Obama’s speech, as correctly transcribed by AP, is not racist. Giving a speech to a collection of blacks many of whom suffered real racism and morphing your delivery into a blackcentic dialect, is at the least wrong, and is, I think, loathsome race-bating. Up to today I hadn’t thought I disliked our President, but I loath what he does, I loath his base pandering to insular groups and I loath his belief that he can “turn on” being black, when it suits him.
