Alec Baldwin Goes Nuts on Twitter After Davis Execution: Attacks Cheney, Rumsfeld and Michelle Malkin

By Noel Sheppard | September 22, 2011 | 01:19

Noel Sheppard's picture

Like many Americans, actor Alec Baldwin took to his Twitter account Wednesday evening to express his feelings about the execution of Georgia cop killer Troy Davis.

Rather strangely, the objects of his derision included former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and conservative author Michelle Malkin:

What Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Malkin have to do with Davis or his execution is anyone's guess.

More importantly, judging from the response on Twitter, Malkin has been deluged with tremendously vile attacks since Baldwin set his minions on her.

Here are some examples that Malkin retweeted to her followers for posterity:

Nice.

In fairness, Malkin did mildly taunt Baldwin first with "Waiting for Hollyweirdo @alecbaldwin 's 'I am Troy Davis' tweet," but that hardly warranted the actor's unhinged response or those of his deranged fans.

How fitting that this kind, open-minded, thoughtful man will be hosting the season premiere of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

Hey, Baldwin,

Submitted by UpNorth on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:46am.

you asked, "Davis is dead, does that make you happier"? In a word, yes.  And, I hope the cop-killer SOB rots in hell.  How's that?  And, Balboa, if that makes you unhappy, too damn bad.

Just what does "potentially innocent" mean?  "He may have been innocent"?  That was settled long before today.   12 people viewed all of the evidence and disagree with you, Alec.  They found him guilty.

To re-elect Obama would be like the Titanic backing up and hitting the iceberg again.

Crickets...

Submitted by Hero Squad on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 9:02am.

And yet, crickets from the left regarding the (well deserved) execution of Lawrence Russell Brewer in Texas just a few hours earlier for the dragging death of James Byrd. I guess his case doesn't fit in with their cause célèbre against the death penalty.

Brewer isn't the only one...

Submitted by USMC8411 on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 3:31pm.

Besides Brewer, John William King, now 36, also was convicted of capital murder and sent to death row for Byrd's death, which shocked the nation for its brutality. King's conviction and death sentence remain under appeal. A third man, Shawn Berry, 36, received a life prison term.

"One down and one to go," Billy Rowles, the retired Jasper County sheriff who first investigated the horrific scene, said. "That's kind of cruel but that's reality."

Where is Sharpton? Where is Baldwin? Should they not be mounting an effort to stop this execution as well? Where are the liberal calls for an apology from the callous Jasper County sheriff?

Leave it to the tolerant and diverse, liberal, left wing-nut Baldwin to racially profile and attack Malkin.

In review of the Case

Submitted by pcnav on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 10:36am.

Ann Coulter had a good write up on this in her weekly column. She gave a bit more information on the case other than Baldwin's "I feel he was innocent" rant. 34 eye witnesses viewed davis shooting the cop, three were US Airman in a van at the drive thru of the Burger King. The jury that convicted Davis was 7 black, 5 white.

If anything, if I were Michelle Malkin, I would save these wonderful posts by Baldwin for the next time he says he wants to run for elected office. Put them in a public service ad to remind people just how unhinged this lunatic "actor" can get.

I never cared for Baldwin anyway. He sounds like he is always auditioning to be the next voice of Jessica Rabbit with those breathy tones of his.

Drunk and Chasing Lines With A Straw Again?

Submitted by Winghunter on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:59am.

OR just his sober, psychotic and lovable self? ROFL

This is besides the point but, Davis made a confession of being a conspirator during the crime and therefore, even if he's telling the truth, he's just as guilty as the shooter and just as responsible for the murder in the eyes of the law. No mistake was made;

"It's not my fault; I did not have a gun," he said while strapped to a gurney, according to witness Rhonda Cook of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I did not personally kill your son, father, brother," he said, Cook reported.

So I"m wondering why 'smart Alec' didn't mention anything about the 'white supremicist' that was executed in Texas for dragging that poor black guy behind his pick-up truck??? There's got to be some kind of reason for this...........he should be ecstatic that a 'right-wing WHITE supremist' bought the farm, huh???

Interesting that "smart Alec" is bemoaning the execution of a cop killer, yet does not express the same concern in the Texas execution of scumbag Lawrence Russell Brewer. I take that as his approval of the crime of which Brewer was found guilty.

Have you gotten tired of verbally assaulting your daughter, and ex-wife, and your fellow thespians? If so, I'm glad to hear it.

When I saw you on Letterman a few weeks ago, looking ten years younger, 35 pounds lighter, and talking like a schoolboy about your "girlfriend" (who is more age appropriate by far as a daughter), I actually felt happy for you. Now I see you'll never really change - you were an abusive rage-aholic, you're still an abusive rage-aholic, and you'll always be an abusive rage-aholic.

You should get your liver checked Alec - it seems to still be over-producing bile..

Got a question for ya' Alec.

Submitted by TCinAZ on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 5:30am.

Got a question for ya' Alec. If Davis was indeed innocent of having murdered Officer MacPhail, then why did you and his bleeding-heart whackjobs ask for just a stay of his execution, and that he be pulled off of Death Row?

Why didn't they demand an immediate and full pardon for Davis from Georgia's Governor, or even from the President from the start of all of this? because he Wasn't innocent! He was Guilty! So you're all FOS, as usual. you were just bored and needed something to do this week.

oh, and btw Al.. So keeping the "innocent" Davis locked up for the remainder of life would've been Ok with you - just don't kill him? uh-huh.

Fly that one around your liberal empty head for a while, seeing as how you've "played a pilot" before.

Back in the day, when trying to understand fools like this jack@ass, I would say that they were just too stupid to realize how stupid they were.

Then someone right here on NB gave us the name of that syndrome (or effect, actually) - it's called the Dunning-Kruger effect. And to the gentleman who introduced me to that definition: Thank you! I know (and know of) so very many who qualify - from the infestation in the White House, to members of my own family, alas - that I have felt the need to pronounce in ominous asides "DKe!" to my daughter or other enlightened sorts, as a way of shortening the expression of disgust.

This slug (Alec) is a poster-child for Dunning-Kruger and, like the rest, a most disgusting and tiresome specimen.

Check out Ann Coulter this week

Submitted by pockets64 on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 7:11am.

Ann Coulter, a lawyer by training, discussed this case at length. The short-and-sweet version: 34 eye witnesses, some of whom were Davis' friends identified Davis as the man who pistol-whipped a vagrant, shot the cop who tried to stop him, then stood over and executed the cop. While 7 offered half hearted efforts, not one witness offered a recantation that could stand up under examination.

If there ever was a case for hand-wringing for the defense, this is not it.

As someone who can recognize this trait, (unfortunately) it's pretty easy to see that he has major issues. People like this can act perfectly normal, but it doesn't take much to set them off, and when it happens it's usually pretty ugly. To attack a woman with the hatred that he spews is indicative of his personality and his misogony. He may have sex with women, but that doesn't mean that he likes them.

Submitted by Beukeboom on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 10:17am.

Alec Baldwin has revealed himself to be an angry, bitter, clueless, vindictive, and extremely petty man with serious delusions of grandeur bordering upon megalomania. The man needs a lifetime of anger management classes and perhaps heavy sedation to bring him back to some sort of reality. God help them if he is ever elected to political office.

Alec, Malkin, & Tweet Foolishness

Submitted by felizagain on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 11:50am.

Yes, Malkin did taunt Baldwin. But, looking back on their history w/one another, it wasn't surprising. That's ongoing.

Baldwin comes across as silly w/his 'tweets'.

Cheney and Rummy and Malkin have zero to do with a 1989 murder that resulted in a death penalty sentence for a man in Georgia. Look at Georgia Mr. Baldwin, Democrats have been a strong force in the state for decades. Since 1989, two Dem. govs. and 2 GOP govs. Mayors of major cities mainly Democrats, Legislature has a strong Dem.force, and since 1989, it has even been the majority at times....shocking yes, I know. A guy named Bill Clinton, and a guy named Barack Obama have have been President since 1989....as well as Bush. Democratic appointed judges fill the federal court system.

Davis - 1989 to 2011. His supporters, and the checks & balances of the state and federal court system, have had 20+ years to appeal, review, appeal again, his case. A few witnesses changing their stories a decade later, another witness sticking to their story, the basic facts did not change. It was a murder, and it was an earlier shooting , and a man who ran away from the police before an arrest was ever to be made.

The Supreme Court is not 'right wing'...Kennedy goes both ways regularly. Moreover, their role is this: is it constitutional? They found the State of Georgia did abide by the constitution in the arrest, conviction, sentence, and all appeals.....and therefore, it was not their role to intervene.

What is often overlooked is the evil court system of Georgia blamed now for this sentence being carried out - is the same system that said some evidence (the clothes Davis wore that night found at the home he left the night of the murder) was not admissible in court - improper search and seizure.

Baldwin just comes across as silly, hot headed, and out of control. Stunning right? Alec Baldwin out of control.

One way or the other, he managed to avoid facts like a bacterium fleeing penecillin. Over twenty years the same facts, the same conclusions and Mr. Baldwin successfully eluded them with great liberal skill. He would be better off sitting quietly reading his press clippings and having a line or two.

Jack Donaghy, I Have Your Lost Marbles

Submitted by Motormouth KOS on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 12:36pm.

Dear Alec/Alex/Assmonkey whatever your name is...

First, you are a wife-beater and mindless drunk...

Then, you melted down on your poor teenaged daughter...

Is it any wonder that you see an invisible connection between this execution and Dick Cheney?

Are your balls just getting too "shweaty"???

Alec Baldwin

When George Bush won the last

Submitted by Bobbygn on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:01pm.

election Alec Baldwin was running around blabbering about how he was so disgusted that he was going to move to Canada

As one Canadian I was very much prepared to meet him at the border and turn him around.

We got far too many idiots like him here already.

Bald-derdash-win

Submitted by scr1bbler on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:01pm.

I thought this guy swore to leave the country when Bush got elected. What happened? Nobody in the market for his brand of 'wisdom'?

When did a SAG card convey the knowledge, skills or values required to pontificate on politics and/or international affairs?

Maybe Baldwin should have applied as stunt double for Troy Davis.

Did Baldwin follow this story

Submitted by gobnait06 on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:17pm.

Did Baldwin follow this story from his home from that foreign country to which he promised to move when Bush was re-elected? Baldwin is a bloated, bleary-eyed, epic parental failure who must claw and scratch in a fruitless effort to matter to anyone besides his own ego.

A jury of his peers

Submitted by CobraMan on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 1:51pm.

The guy was "potentially innocent," says Alec? Well, a jury of his peers thought otherwise, as well as ALL of the Appeals courts, including the Supreme Court, hence his execution. Yet who does Alec blame? "Blood Thirsty Right-Wingers?" Yea, that makes a lot of sense, NOT!

The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States. The US Constitution

Unless you're a fetus. The US Supreme Court

Or Anwar al-Awlaki.

Unless You Were On The Jury

Submitted by Jullou on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:05pm.

Alec: Unless you were on the jury, you do not know about all the evidence found and why they found him guilty. Liberals like you rush to join the leftist collective rants without close examination of the whole issue. In other words, liberals like you have "knee-jerk" reactions to anything that counters conservatives.

The truth of Commissar Baldwin

Submitted by Lusty Infant on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:06pm.

This is not hard to figure out Comrades. It's common knowledge that Bush and Cheney have been beaming their hate messages directly into the minds of the masses via their Mind/Weather Control equipment in Antarctica.

The undercurrent of menace

Submitted by gobnait06 on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:19pm.

The undercurrent of menace and unhinged rage from liberals, quite unprepared for a world where the tide of public opinion is turning away from them, is increasing exponentially. There's no telling what will drive them over the edge. Funny you don't see that sort of sociopathic behavior among those 'extremist' Tea Party activists, isn't it?

Typical

Submitted by lkotur on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:29pm.

I heard a statement on the radio yesterday.

"What I believe rationally is open to debate and change. What I believe emotionally cannot be changed by reason. An emotional belief can only be changed by an emotional argument.”

There are court documents that anyone with half a brain can find and read.

[
Case 4:09-cv-00130-WTM Document 92 Filed 08/24/10 Page 1 of 62

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR
THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF GEORGIA
SAVANNAH DIVISION

IN RE TROY ANTHONY DAVIS ) CASE NO. CV409-130 ]

For Alec Baldwin to be correct, this document has to be totally false, or perhaps he is arguing from an emotional basis.
If that is the case, facts do not matter to him and we should all ignore anything he has to say.

You Really Must Get Fresh Air

Submitted by Jullou on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:32pm.

Alec: I suggest you step out of Hollywood and into the real world (flyover country to you). When you call us right-wing trash, you only know about the left-wing trash that is spewed about us daily. In case you don't know, Hollywood has been a place that draws Communists, Socialists, Marxists. If this is all you hear, this is all you know. Step out into the fresh air and listen to other ideas. Don't fall for the brainwashing of the leftists that is done to keep control over free people. Yes, we were once free, but thanks to leftists like you, we are losing our freedom. And you expect us to accept this easily? You do not know us, Alec.

new "voice of civility"

Delusional political aspirations

Submitted by Schofield Kid on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:36pm.

As can be seen by the above tweets, he's incoherent unless something is written down for him. Further evidence can be heard on his trainwreck of an attempt at radio on Air America. So his bloated ego has convinced him he is such a mighty intellect he can run for public office. Well, he would be crushed and become unhinged under the most minor scrutiny and I don't think even the liberal loons in NYC would vote for him.

Well said

Submitted by Jullou on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 2:46pm.

It seems the leftists are void of any logic. They are brainwashed lemmings that spew the same rants without any original thoughts. Most of them are on drugs, so what ever their comrades tell them, that is what they spew. They must not be educated on world history to see that leftism/Communism/Socialism/Marxism does not work. It only ends up killing millions of people so that a few ruling class can live well. They continue their leftist mantra even though the current socialism in Europe is failing and is causing great harm to our country too.

Why would Capitalone use this

Submitted by DWoSD on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 3:29pm.

Why would Capitalone use this POS for a spokesperson? I have already canceled my card. Why would they want "blood thirsty right wing trash" for a customer?

I stopped watching NBC and SNL years and years ago.

Simply don't go see his movies, the same for any other liberal idiot movie star. Besides, wasn't he supposed to move to Canada if Bush won? Anyone who leaves potty-mouhed rants for his daughter on his ex-wife's answering machine has a screw loose.

These "people" get together,

Submitted by amyshulk on Thu, 09/22/2011 - 4:23pm.

These "people" get together, stoke each others' hate until it bubbles over, then they run out and project/spew all their hatefulness all over the place! Beckel on The Five was sputtering what, a week ago? Right after you just know he'd immersed himself in this kind of thinking with his fellow travelers.

And WE are the hateful ones??? Please.

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
