PETA To Launch Porn Site

By Noel Sheppard | August 20, 2011 | 11:01

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has always known how to use sexual imagery to advance its political agenda.

According to Reuters, the animal rights group is planning on taking this further by actually launching a pornographic website:

In preparation for a new triple-x Internet domain that will launch in December, lawyers for the most storied brands in the United States are scrambling to prevent an x-rated rip-off of an invaluable asset: corporate Web addresses.

The domain operator administering the .xxx domain is accepting early applications from brand owners who want control over their names. ICM Registry says it has received over 900,000 "expressions of interest" from companies that want to preregister their trademarks or block others from snapping them up to create, say, a Barbie.xxx or Coke.xxx. [...]

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals also signed up. However, instead of blocking its name, said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt, the organization will launch peta.xxx as a pornography site that draws attention to the plight of animals.

Not surprisingly, the folks at the Huffington Post were very excited by this:

PETA confirmed the XXX site in a phone interview with The Huffington Post.

"We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals," said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt.

Instead of focusing on anti-fur, the porn site will raise awareness of veganism, said Rajt. "We really want to grab people's attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them." [...]

"There will be a lot of girl and boy next door content, but we haven't ruled out celebrities on the site as well," said Rajt. "People who are extraordinarily dedicated to helping animals and who are willing to do whatever it takes to draw attention to the suffering they endure."

This is exactly what America needs: political activists using explicit sex to spread their message.

If it's successful, can elected officials and/or candidates be far behind?

Of course, if the conservative side decided to go Maxim or FHM or soft-core cheesecake, these same hypocrites would be swooping out of their ivory towers calling us sexist and misogynist. I'm a man who happens to be heterosexual and conservative, which they also despise. They want a unisexual society where anything goes.

Noel, I remember that link that had grotesque pictures of the Folsom Street Festival in SF. This is in Nancy Pelosi's district, and this is exactly what the left wants Main Street USA to look like. Those weren't gay activists-they were pedophiles and sex offenders...criminals.

Of course... The conservative right actually stands for something. The left stands for nothing, no amount of derision or outrage sticks, they can just shrug their shoulders and say "so what". The fact that we stand for something outrages the left and with glee they will always try to destroy and bring the right down to their level of misery.

Maybe with this "xxx" domain name the porn spammers will migrate away from my "Blonde Gator" site. What was I thinking when I registered that? Oh yeah, Blonde, Gator....you should see my spam filter list. Amazing!

PETA....well, what kind of porn are they going to have, nekkid animals? I mean, only ugly poodles wear clothes. Vegan's having sex. Terrific.

This is exactly what America needs: political activists using explicit sex to spread their message.

If it's successful, can elected officials and/or candidates be far behind?

Um, 2 words for you, NS.

Anthony Weiner.  Although the message he spread was not exactly the one he wanted to spread, i.e. "I'm a perv".

This would be a great opportunity for a Special Ed "mistake" report. He could cover this with a "PETA has a new web site promoting beastiality and veggy sex." Put in some chopped and hacked video and he's golden. I'm sure PETA wouldn't mind since it's all about getting attention.

J, Yep. That pork butt is some good stuff

Submitted by Dave. on Sat, 08/20/2011 - 5:40pm.

I smoked one for nearly seven hours last weekend. Almost had to use a flat shovel to get it off the Weber, as it was literally falling apart.

Love that.

Had to break out me trusty fish turner, which is almost the size of the shovel.

Then I pulled the meat, mixed it with some BBQ sauce, and put it in the oven for a couple of hours.

We ate on it for three days.

The only thing missing was some fresh corn, as the crop has just been awful this year.

The Stupid enviro-wackos and their engine-wrecking ethanol, along with some weather issues, combined to deprive Dave of his summer corn fix.  :-(

And I ain't believing plain old Idaho baking potatoes are at $1.50/lb here, as are sweet onions - both of which I cannot do without when I'm doing really serious BBQ.

It was expected

Submitted by jon_torlin on Sat, 08/20/2011 - 7:11pm.

I had guessed a couple of years ago (along with others) that because of the use of corn, that there was going to be a food shortage or that other produce costs will go up because not enough of it was grown and this is what we're seeing.

Not only that, you mentioned weather issues, this is what happens if you use food for a fuel, what happens if you get a crisis of some sort that might be in the making, who's going to decide on the food?  The Secretary of Agriculture or the Secretary of Energy?  One is producing the food, the other is using the food.  Think they'll stop production of ethanol to use it for food instead?(I wish they would just plain stop making ethanol, PERIOD!)

I'd ask how stupid that is, but the answer is pretty painfully obvious, especially where the environmentalist wackos are concerned.

excpet those hardcore vegans are probably lying their butts off. They can't stay healthy being a vegan and they know it and so they secretly eat meat or drink milk but hide it and lie about it.

Animal worship has always been about religion(or anti-religion)

Submitted by Don L on Sat, 08/20/2011 - 2:45pm.

PETA has their animal gods (no golden calves -sorry) and then, like most of the left's culturally deviants, they also have their own, "act like animals" agenda.

It is more than just interesting that a major goal of the American Communist Party is to destroy America by using moral and sexual corruption to destroy the family.

How is it that the Communists understand the role of sexual deviancy in taking down our once magnificant country, while our fiscal and libertarian right spews venom if you mention that reality.

It is no accident that anti-God behavior is their religion.

As everyone can plainly see on this thread alone, a lot of people are talking about PETA... (snark)

I knew a girl a while back who said she was a member of PETA (must have been a Pam Anderson fan, come to think of it), as if that little fact would carry any weight in the discussion we were having. (We were talking about the way KFC treated their chickens!)

This was about 10 years ago, but even then I knew, and told her that PETA had no credibility, that their campaigns was designed to shock, because they have no other way to gather support for their cause -- like for example, using rational arguments.

She must be proud of her organization for everything they are doing today.

PETA

Submitted by PaleHorse on Sun, 08/21/2011 - 11:28am.

PETA is the worst. I firmly believe that most of their followers have no idea the damage they cause to everyday Americans. My cousin cultivates chicken eggs in South Carolina. He used to have 125,000 chickens. PETA and their lawyers forced him to cut down to 75,000 chickens. That was a huge hit to his production. They like to attack chicken farmers by claiming forced molting is barbaric. They pretend that the farmers starve the chickens in order to artificially induce molting and that this is a harmful practice. In reality, the farmers don't starve the chickens, they simply change the composition of their feed. They drop the protein levels down, but keep the rest of the feed the same. The chicken still eats, it just receives a bit less protein, which causes it to molt. The main point that PETA seems to ignore is that semi-annual molting is good for chickens.

I'm all for proper treatment of animals, but people need to know what they're talking about before making outrageous demands.
