Ann Coulter Smacks Down Bill Maher: 'I Only Talk To Rubes Right Here'

By Noel Sheppard | July 09, 2011 | 10:52

Ann Coulter marvelously smacked down Bill Maher on HBO's "Real Time" Friday evening.

After the host called the Tea Partiers Coulter speaks to "rubes," the conservative author smartly responded, "I do not talk to rubes except right here" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

BILL MAHER, HOST: I think the Teabaggers who are always…

ANN COULTER: Oh, please.

MAHER: …always ill-informed. I, when they, ’cause they’re gonna, they’re against raising the debt ceiling no matter what. I think they think that this is money we haven’t spent yet. I think that they need to be educated…

COULTER: No, we know perfectly well it’s been spent.

MAHER: You do.

COULTER: That’s why we want the debt ceiling.

MAHER: You do. Not the rubes you talk to. You know…

COULTER: I do not talk to rubes except right here.

Indeed.

As NewsBusters demonstrates on almost a weekly basis, one of the biggest rubes - and boobs - on television today is Maher.

Brava, Ann! Brava!

The Biggest Rube...

The biggest rube gets shot down by the prettiest, smartest, and classiest Conservative commentator around. I'd say she probably could slap the whatever out of him if she had the chance!

Typical of a progressive to make up out of thin air the argument against his position. Straw man, anyone?

That's okay, sometimes you need to have someone answer Maher's snark with equal snark, tit for tat. It ain't always the most entertaining thing to watch, but sometimes it's better for someone to jab back then to just let him go unanswered. I respect Ann for being willing (and able) to do that.

I actually watched this last

Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 07/09/2011 - 11:32am.

I actually watched this last night, because I came home late and I was going through the channels while I was eating a frozen coconut bar before I went to bed..........I'll usually just blow right by ol' Donkeyface, because he's such a pathetic prick, but when I hit that channel, Coulter was on, so I hung out long enough to catch some of the conversation.

She's got to have the biggest gonads around, because she seems to enjoy going into enemy territory and holding her own while being surrounded and attacked by morons. She did well, in her usual ditzy blond way (which probably drives the loony libs even MORE up the wall!!), but I don't think that Maher has enough sense to know that he's in over his head, and the other guy sitting on the panel - some little dweeb with glasses (he would have been a perfect White House employee) - tried to say a couple of things, but he was like some smarmy seventh grader trying to put in his naive and misinformed two cents worth.....

For some reason, I thought that the audience might have applauded for something that Coulter said..........but I'd have to watch it again to be sure, because that audience has to be pretty whacky to be sitting there listening to Donkeyface and his usual panel of loony libs, psuedo-know-it-alls, and wanna-be intellectuals.

Since Bill Maher is the sh!t for brains dumb@ss who thinks that Brazil has not used any oil in the last thirty years (thirty years!), has anyone ever asked Maher to explain what he "thinks" powers the vehicles in Brazil? Does he think that tractor-trailors in Brazil have gerbils underneath spinning the wheels on those trucks?

You know, the stuff Mahr abuses with his drugs. Brazil is a net exporter of ethanol and they have a lot of E85 vehicles but the fleet is mostly diesel and gasoline like most countries.

Not to worry about Brazil's

Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 07/09/2011 - 1:09pm.

Not to worry about Brazil's energy...............'we' (Boy Barry and OUR money, along with Count Dracula Soros) have 'invested' a boatload of cash into BRAZIL'S off-shore drilling program...................and Boy Blunder has promised that we will be one of their biggest customers!!!! This should help Brazil fullfill Donkeyfaces' erroneous views, as well as ensure that we continue to be dependent on some other source..................besides OUR OWN!!!!

Can ANYONE out there tell me where this makes ANY SENSE?????

CNN, Larry King, Bill Maher, Kathy Griffin, and Michael Moore

Submitted by djwolf12 on Sat, 07/09/2011 - 1:44pm.

I just think it is rediculous that Larry King has these idiots listed above on his show to whine and complain about what they think about Republicans. Each one of these so-called "comedians and social commentators" do nothing but assassinate someone's character, belittle their opposition, but yet they are NEVER called out on it. Well I will:

What do Bill Maher, Kathy Griffin, and Michael Moore all have in common? They are all blabbermouthed Gutter trash that only appeal to the lowest common denominator (progressive democrats).

There, I said it because it needed to be said.
