Mort Zuckerman: For First Time Since Their State's Founding Israelis Feel Americans Aren't Behind Them
Contrary to what NBC's David Gregory said Friday, U.S. News & World Report editor Mort Zuckerman believes that in the wake of President Obama's Mideast speech, "The Israelis do not feel they have the Americans at their back for the first time since the founding of the state of Israel."
Such was said during a heated debate about the subject on PBS's "McLaughlin Group" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
MORT ZUCKERMAN, U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT: Wait a minute. John, I have to interrupt here. I have to get involved. Hold on, hold on. They sent, the American government sent a representative to the Israeli government and said to them, “Don't worry, there's going to be nothing serious that you’re going to have to worry about in the President's speech.” This was, this whole issue of the 1967 borders and boundaries was added at the very end. They, in effect, they trapped…
JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, HOST: Netanyahu.
ZUCKERMAN: …Netanyahu, and it undermined the relationship.
MCLAUGHLIN: You know what that's called? That's called betrayal.
ZUCKERMAN: Yes, that’s exactly what they feel. The Israelis do not feel they have the Americans at their back for the first time since the founding of the state of Israel. This is from their point of view.
MCLAUGHLIN: It goes beyond that. That’s betrayal.
ZUCKERMAN: That’s right.
Earlier in the day, Gregory told MSNBC's Joe Scarborough:
DAVID GREGORY, "MEET THE PRESS" MODERATOR: This is not just the view of the White House in terms of what they think Israel ought to accept. This also reflects prominent views within Israel that this speech was actually good news for the Israeli government for some of the points that have already been laid out here.
When Scarborough asked Gregory, "What major Israeli public figures have come out supporting the President's speech," the "Meet the Press" host couldn't name any.
Likely that's because Zuckerman's right and the Obama-loving Gregory's dead wrong.

I saw that exchange (David Gregory & Morning Joe) live and I don't know why my jaw dropped but it did. You'd think I'd be used to how EASILY, AUDACIOUSLY AND SHAMELESSLY they (Gregory can) LIE THEIR ASSES OFF.
It's frigging PSYCHO how they can LOOK IN THE CAMERA with a STRAIGHT FACE and SAY THIS ABSURD SH*T.
I'm STILL stunned by that exchange. It was STRAIGHT off Plouffe's MacBook Air... and he DELIVERED... useless frigging tool that he is.

Somebody needs to explain Set Theory and Venn Diagrams to politicians.
Israelis Feel Americans don't support them?
Which Americans? Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, and down the line to Mittens Romney all support Israel. The majority of the citizens who live in the USA support Israel. I guess the press doesn't believe that Tea Party members, Republicans, Conservatives, and maybe even Libertarians are really Americans.
I guess Hillary was right, that dissent is disloyalty, and cause to revoke your USA citizenship. Only loyal Democrats and Liberals are Americans. The rest of us are ... never mind.
I can hardly wait for November 2012.

McLaughlin was more right "it's called betrayal." David (slimeball) Gregory, sounded like Ralph Cramden with his hand in the cookie jar and caught by Alice hummanah hummanah. Good thing Mort was on McLaughlin today or it would have been unanimous in their vote for betrayal of Israel.
"Don't let the bastards grind you down."
Well, Mort, just exactly what did you expect?

After all, you have spent your entire career promoting and building up the ant-semitic, freedom-hating racist left (okay, perhaps not a vehemently as most of your peers, but still), and you are now complaining about the results?
Perhaps you should have been a bit more vocal with your concerns back when it might have made an actual difference.

Vote for the American in November
You got that right, Dave.
Submitted by jdhawk on Sun, 05/22/2011 - 7:39pm.
You got that right, Dave. The Jews rank third behind African-Americans and the unions in regards to mass voting for dimocrats. Over 3/4 of Jews vote year and year out at the local, state, and federal levels for dimocrats.
When you couple the above devotion on the part of Jews with their deep pockets (there are more Jews on the Forbes 400 than any other group), you have a very powerful block of voters.
One of the reasons that the dimocrats were so vengeful toward what they called the Neocons, Jews that voted Republican during the clintoon years, is that the dimocrats feel entitled to their vote.
My bet is that they will continue to vote in as large a block as they always have. Like the con job that they dimocrats have pulled off that Republican Southerns are racists, they have convinced Jews that Republicans are Nazis. They are just too stupid not to figure out who is looking out for their best interests.

People are always arguing for tolerance and forgiveness. That does not cut it when the followers of an Imam kills 37 people or the lifer out on parole after only twenty years kills a couple for their car. Mort is not right often enough to earn respect.

Morty got exactly what he voted for, along with OVER 50% of the voters in this country. So Shag Gregory is sort of right when he says "Americans" are "for this."
Get used to this kind of crap, boys and girls, and just pray that we as a nation can survive it.

Zuckerman was ganged up on
Submitted by Gat New York on Sun, 05/22/2011 - 7:09pm.
I watched that heated discussion and it was probably the most extraordinary exchange I had ever seen on that show.
Zuckerman, who is a Democrat, was ganged up on by socialist Obama lover Eleanor Clift, Patrick Buchanan (who has never had a love for Israel), and someone from Al Arabya.
Zuckerman was clearly angry at the attitude of Buchanon and Clift and was finally supported by McLaughlin who seemed surprised by the tone of the exchange.
Concerning David Gregory, he has been shamelessly carrying the water for the press office of Obama and is not even camouflaging it anymore.
You actually had very liberal congressional Democrats from New York (Weiner, Engle, and Israel) who all distanced themselves from Obama's policy speech.
The argument that this has always been the policy is a lie. And to place the blame on Netanyahu for "how dare he reprimand the President" is not working either.
Obama came to office with a hatred for Israel that he had for many years and no one is buying his cheap rhetoric claiming support for Israel any more.
Obama has a major Jewish problem and the words of people from Zuckerman to Gene Simmons (Israeli) will not filter away before the 2012 election.
What is worth noting are international trips Obama has or is scheduled to make are:
Canada (2), U.K. France (3), Germany (2), Czech Republic (2), Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, Mexico (3), Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Italy, Vatican, Ghana, Denmark (2), Japan (2), Singapore, China, South Korea (3), Norway, Afghanistan (2), India, Indonesia, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Ireland, Poland, Pakistan, Columbia, and Russia
The most loyal ally of the United States and the only democratic country in the Middle East Israel is not even scheduled for a trip during Obama’s entire first term.
How can anyone believe Obama's commitment to Israel?

I still blame McCain for giving Obama a "pass" when it came to Jeremiah Wright and Obama's 20 years in that anti-Israel church. McCain said it was not an issue. Well it sure seems to be an issue now!

Israelis knew this was coming. It was just a matter of time. Not only is duhbama clearly for the murdering thug regimes of the region, don't forget his Sec State, kankles aka billary share the same animus toward Israel. Between them, unless the 2012 elections kicks these two out and/or the senate changes hands, Israel will definitely be on the way to destruction.
Heck, just the fact that duhbama made the speech will give the region's thugs reason to attack. After all, in the past, it has been our backing in the form immediate shipment of arms and the sharing of stragic intelligence that has been key to Israel winning their wars.
No, The Israelis Must be Right

At least I for one do not see a great ground swell of politicians calling for termination of the anti-Jewish broadcasters. Broadcast spectrum is very limited but we allow the Israel hating NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS to continue to use the public airwaves. The Muslims give them a little bit of money and they spew a stream of distortion and hate against Israel and a few coastal politicians get them to do the same against "Flyover Country" America and the Tea Partiers.
What are the Israelis supposed to believe? Given the distortions and lies that Washington allows I can only assume that the "Spot Light" (a profoundly anti-Jewish publication) must be handed around in secret by ninety percent of the Americans that I know. I must assume that at least half of my friends and neighbors are secretly planning to murder their children and husband and then commit suicide. Do not laugh, I live in Connecticut with people sick enough to consider Joe Lieberman too right wing.

Elections matter; the American people and the Jewish American community got exactly what they deserve. And so now, when his true colors continue to come out, week after week, everyone is shocked. And what does he do? He does what he always does, he tries to lie his way out of it by saying his comments were misrepresented. Really?
Here's a flash for the electorate and for the American Jewish community. Stop sending your money to him; he suckered you once, he'll sucker you again. He is not a friend of Israel. He never was, he never will be.
It amazes me with all this nonsense about what Israel must be willing to do. Has any one taken the time to look back and see all that Israel has done in the past with zero reciprocation from the PLO? My memory isn't that good, but to my recollection, they have done nothing. And the likelihood of them ever doing anything is pretty damn remote. They suckered the Americans and Isawelis in the past, pretending to want to discuss peace, and invariably back away at the last minute.

The right better start making the media's democratic operatives an issue, or the narrative most independents will be hearing will be the democratic talking points. ye gads, some Jews actually believe this. Ugh. Now those are the damned fools.
Well, I guess since we do know he wants to destroy Israel, "save" = "destroy."
I have far more respect for the Jews that live in Israel than I do the American ones. Way too many of the American ones are like this. (the men are like this, the women however are a lot of fun)
I had one part time worker who was the stereotypical one, and if anyone remembers the South Park episode where Kyle met his cousin Kyle, this guy fit that character. Drove our other workers NUTS! He even had a crush on Hillary and for the life of me, I don't know why. But boy, he would hear things thinking it was directed to him(never was) acting like it was anti-Jew(anti-semite, etc), for example, one time at a slow moment, some of us were playing an online word game where you make words out of so many characters. One word was KITE. Substitute the T for K, that's what he heard.
Made me so mad that he did it a few more times and I finally fired him outright. Reason: his attitude and actions suggesting anti-semitism where there was none made for an unpleasant work environment.
Is your friend like that?
