Lawrence O'Donnell Goes Ballistic On Birther Orly Taitz, Cuts Off Her Camera
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell abruptly ended an interview with queen birther Orly Taitz Wednesday after screaming at her for several minutes.
Things turned ugly when "The Last Word" host refused to allow his guest to discuss President Obama's Selective Service certificate and Taitz responded by saying, "Your program is nothing but Obama propaganda machine" (video follows with commentary):
This wasn't the first time an MSNBC host got heated with birthers today. Hours earlier, Chris Matthews got into a bit of a shoutfest with Tea Partier Judson Phillips and Arizona state Sen. Steve Smith about this very issue.
This clearly demonstrates how MSNBC's Obama-lovers are just too close to this subject to be interviewing folks that still wonder if the President was born in Hawaii, especially queen birther Taitz.
On the other hand, MSNBC could be looking to somehow keep this issue alive. As TVNewser reported Wednesday, MSNBC has practically spent more time on Trump and Obama's birth certificate than CNN and Fox combined.
Maybe they're secretly sorry the President finally showed the nation his birth certificate.
If they keep inviting on birthers in the coming days, we'll know won't we?

Thanks for the information, although I'm not surprised. His interview with Michelle is proof of something we at NewsBusters have documented time and again: Lawrence (I'm a socialist) O'Donnell is extremely fair and balanced, whether interviewing Democrats or Republicans, or viewpoints that may differ from his own.

Of course the MichelleMyBelle interview with Crazy Larry was a farcical tale and I almost bought someone thinking that Crazy could be "fair and balanced" UNTIL the "bless this man".

I just can't see how this issue helps anyone, except Obama. The whole thrust of MSNBC has been, see how trailer park crazy they ALL are?
If Hillary's crew couldn't prove it, it wasn't because they were for Obama. It's just letting your disgust for Obama lead your head into an indefensible place. There are too many people who I respect who did look into it, and came away unconvinced for me to buy the arguments of birthers who's arguments change with the wind. What that does is demonstrate to anyone watching the fate awaiting them should they choose to resist. Come on, NB! Hasn't that always been the game plan? A great many Americans hold dual citizenship because of their parents nationalities. You can be "natural born" and still hold one. Even if O was born here, as it seems, he still can at some point claim British citizenship if he likes, as can any American Jew envoking right of return to Israel. Doesn't make them less a citizen if they choose to be American does it?
Not trying to pick a fight, it's just, this isn't an issue that can ever be proven to all sides satisfaction.
Obama has less than 50% who say they'd ever vote for him again, focus on things current, and there lies the end game. The truth will out, if there really is some conspiracy to hide his "real" birthplace, it will come out in time, but not soon enough to affect 2012. Keep on following it if you believe, but the rest of us who never thought there was anything here to find.. will focus on what can win in 12 and let history correct it self when it can.--
PS, I think MSNBC does want it to go on, so they can claim persection by crazy folk.. that is what they are saying, may not sell beyond blue cities, but they believe it.

Dual citizenship means dual allegiance. That is exactly what the framers toiled to disqualify from the Office of President.
Are Dual Citizens still Citizens? Absolutely! Can they hold positions in Congress? Absolutely! They just can't be President.
Ask yourself this - why would the Framers spend only three and half pages forming the entire government, with the main thrust being the decentralization of power, place such a unique qualification on the Executive - if they didn't mean it to be a very special and LIMITED qualification? Why would they have demonstrated a difference between that particular Citizenship, Natural born, and simple Citizenship in the language itself, if it didn't exist?
Natural Born is born here of Citizen parentage - that means BOTH parents. It can only mean Citizen parents, plural. One reason Obama has done the things he has is because he has dual allegiance. It is great to talk about the what, but the why matters too.

Correct...period. How can a person birth status of which owes allegiance to the monarchy of another country to be considered natural born citizen? Its impossible. The United States has adopted the position that we shall abide by foreign nationality laws related to persons born with dual allegiance. Our State Dept has always recognized and abides to the obligations of foreign laws concerning US citizens that have dual allegiances. Obama a constitutional scholar declared that his birth status was “governed by” the laws of the United Kingdom rather then the 14th amendment. I think that's about the only thing he ever said that was true.

No, it doesn't necessary mean that. As you claim that Obama "inherited" that citizenship from his father, that implies that it the British citizenship was assigned to him due to his lineage (something that doesn't surprise me from a country that prizes pedigrees, prizes lineages). It wasn't requested BY him. He didn't apply for British citizenship, so he demonstrated no allegiance towards it.
Also, there's no provision in the Constitution that prevents someone with dual citizenship from becoming President. As a matter of fact, the Constitution doesn't even ban someone who ha lived a large portion of their life outside the United States from becoming President. You only need to be living in the US for 14 years total to be eligible for the Presidency. This meas that a 50 year old man could spend 36 years as a resident of another country and STILL be eligible for the Presidency.
The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States. The US Constitution

I've noticed the repetitiveness of the claim Obama has spent millions in legal fees to keep his true, Kenyan birth certificate from being released. Regardless of whether or not you believe in the latest release, shouldn't you be looking for a real birth certificate in Kenya?
Anyway, where does the $2 million claim come from? World Net Daily. Proof? The Federal Election Commission has stated the Obama campaign has spent $2 million in legal fees, yet nowhere does it break down how and where the money was spent. In comparison John McCain has spent $1.3 million in legal fees since the election.
So can someone who believes the $2 million claim please explain?

I am glad the debate has been move forward, finally. This should have happened in 2008. Now, the "birther" label can come to an end as if this is about location. It never really was about location stand alone. There is more to it and always has been.
Soetoro has now, himself, vouched for a document that itself demonstrates serious problems for him. He has admitted that this document shows his Father as a foreigner. For this to qualify him as a Natural Born Citizen eligible for the Office of President, it then has to mean that any foreigner from anywhere where in the world can come here drop an anchor baby and see that offspring eligible for the Presidency.
That means Osama Bin Laden himself can spawn a kid here and see that child eligible for the highest office in the land.
Folks have got to wake up to the reality that while this issue does encompass Soetoro, it is not solely about him. It is much larger than just him. This is about illegal immigration itself. This is about Citizenship itself. It is about the very border to this country and that means it is about he nation itself.
Soetoro is a fraud an a fabrication, no doubt about it, but the very fabric of this country, and the threads of Liberty that make it up, is at stake.
This issue should not go away, it should be debated fully, out in the open for all to see and then decided on the merits. It is noteworthy that MSNBC shut down this debate. The Social Security number, the Nordyke numbers and the Selective Service numbers are real issues! That's right, but who's to say whether that "kid" would act the same as his Father, especially if that "kid" spent the majority of his life SEPARATED from his father? Who's to say that the son will follow in his father's footsteps? There's no way we can predict just what that child would become when direct parental exposure is removed (Obama, for example, was raised primarily by his GRANDPARENTS, not his Kenyan Father and American mother) , so why even claim that it matters who the father is?
It's sad to see this here in America, but a lot of people still cling to the "lineage" or "pedigree" method of selecting or denying a leader, deciding the effectiveness or eligibility of any given potential candidate by who their parents are, thus removing the INDIVIDUALITY of a candidate altogether. Even after over 200 years of trying to overcome that "lineage" bias, we're still seeing it pop up again and again and again. WHEN will we finally accept people for who THEY are and not for who their PARENTS are? This is America. Let's judge people based upon their own individuality and not their pedigree.
I wouldn't care of Obama's father was Stalin. I understand that Obama is NOT his father. As long as Obama was born in America, is older than 35, and has lived here for more than 14 years, all of which is true, then he's eligible for the presidency. I am kind of in agreement with O'Donnell here. He gave her an opportunity to answer the question and she beat around the bush. He stayed polite until he realized she had no intention of answering him. I mean, he asked her straight up if she believed the BC to be real and the least she could have done is to be honest about it. Just some opinions and observations from different blogs, etc. in the last 2 days:
• If the original document was in a bound volume (as reflected by the curvature of the left hand side of the certificate), how can the green patterned background of the document's safety paper be so seamless?
• Why, if Obama was born on August 4, 1961, was the “Date Accepted by Local Reg.” four days later on August 8, 1961?
• What is the significance of the smudges in the box containing the name of the reported attendant?
• David A. Sinclair, the M.D. who purportedly signed the document, died nearly eight years ago at age 81. So he is conveniently unavailable to answer questions about Obama’s reported birth.
• In the “This Birth” box there are two mysterious Xs above “Twin” and “Triplet.” Is there a sibling or two unaccounted for?
• What is the significance of the mysterious numbers, seen vertically, on the document’s right side?
• Finally, the “Signature of Local Registrar” in box 21 may be a desperate attempt at establishing the document’s Hawaiian authenticity. Note to forgers: it is spelled “Ukulele.”

The birth certificate is real. Notice the mother's age when Barack was born is 18 years old. That means that he is not a "natural born citizen" and has never been the President of the USA! That is why he didn't want anyone to see it. What's more since he was not a "natural born citizen" he would have had to proclaim his US citizenship when he was 21 to retain it. His college records show that he claimed that he was not a US citizen so that he could attend college on a foreign natural schollarship.
Obvious forgery. Look at the 41 at the top right of document. It has obviously been altered.
WND has another person's birth certificate who was born a day after Obama to compare. While there are still questions (their number is lower even though born AFTER Obama),

The list of hypothetical questions listed in the article are silly and sophomoric, and miss the big obvious question: "If this is an authentic birth certificate - "boom, there it is" - then how can you logically explain why this administration spent millions of dollars over two or three years, doing everything in their power, to NOT release it? If this is it - then WHY?? Can anyone come up with a logical reason why they would have spent all that money, and held out for so long?? It makes zero sense.
Why does this still say "CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH"? Is a COLB considered a Long Form birth certificate? No, it sure is not! Remember the Governor of Hawaii said he could not find the long form birth certificate?

Look under Race Of Mother....Caucasian....The top half of every letter is perfectly cut off at the exact point on every letter. A type writer would not be this perfect in 1961 or 2011! A type writer did not make these perfect mistakes, only a computer with photo-shop does! Wise UP!
The problem with this "new" birth certificate is that it's well....new. It lists his birthday as August 4, 1961, then list his fathers native country as Kenya. The problem with that is Kenya didn't exist until 1963, it was British East Africa or East Africa Protectorate until then.
It also lists the hospital of his birth as Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital, which didn't exist until 1978. Prior to that time it was Kauaikeolani Children's Hospital. It's is also dated April 25, 2011 with Dr. Alvin T. Onaka signing to the stamp of " I certify this is a true copy or abstract of the record on file in the Hawaii Department of State Health". Being an abstract does not make it real or official, it means it matches what is in the electronic system, which would have been put in some time after 1978 because of the hospital name, and as recently as April 25, 2011 because of the date, or any time in between.

O'Donnell had a fill in doing his show on Thursday, wonder what the deal is on that...I missed the first few minutes where it would have been explained. So I can only guess he was given a brief time-out to de-spaz himself.
Its funny that people claim it is totally false to say that Obama has spent millions in the courts fighting this off. The only debate is on the actual cost.
Simply take that away and cite how many cases Obama had legal teams fighting to stop the release of documents.
Or say, spent significant dollars fighting in X number of court cases.
It kind of funny that the argument is not that he is fighting in the courts, just that the figure on the amount spent is wrong. Not to mention how much of the legal services are pro bono, IE paid from other sources.
