Ed Schultz Announces His Favorite Senator Is Congress's Only Avowed Socialist
Last November, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell admitted on live television that he's a socialist.
On Monday, Ed Schultz announced on the MSNBC program bearing his name that his favorite Senator is America's only avowed socialist member of Congress (video follows with transcript and commentary):
ED SCHULTZ: Joining me now, my favorite Senator, independent from Vermont, Bernie Sanders. I've never said you were my favorite Senator on this program before or when I was doing the six o’clock, but you are, and I want to announce that tonight. You are my favorite Senator because you stand up to what is wrong with this country and you always have a solution on what we need to do to make things better for the middle class, and I respect that, Senator.

So, at 8 PM, viewers can turn on MSNBC's "The Last Word" to hear the opinions of an avowed socialist, and two hours later check out "The Ed Show" and get propagandized by a man whose favorite senator is a socialist.
Makes you wonder just how far this so-called news network is going to "lean" to the left before owners Comcast and General Electric realize the views being expressed are supported by a tremendously small percentage of America.

When they come for Comcast and GE. That time is soon as some of the socialists are coming out of the shadows and starting to demand a nationalized economy.
Ed once again shows how

Ed once again shows how retarded he is. You have to remember that ed whined about only being able to afford a ultra-light while Rush owns a Lear. He also told his viewers that he earned his money and had a right to spend it away way he wanted without intrusion.
Ed is locked in a death match on TV with matthews for last place.

Ed is really embracing MSNBC's new "We're Left-Wing Biased And Proud Of It" theme. Ed really didn't need any more hits on his near non-existent credibility and yet he asks for it. I didn't realize Comcast had so many socialist investors. Who'd-a-thunk-it?
Ed is once again wrong though, I noted just yesterday that ,at least, 27 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus were members of the American Socialist Party. Then again, the Ed show doesn't require research and facts-n-stuff. That kind of thing really gets in the way of Ed's nonsensical blathering. -bidn-

If Ed didn't have Sanders or someone from The Nation magazine on would he have any guests at all ?
My father knew of Bernie

My father knew of Bernie back when Bernie moved to Vermont. I won't give much detail but he described Bernie has being extremely lazy, not willing to work and always trying to ride on the coattails of others. My father had his connections to find this out as people in the neighborhood often talked. He also said Bernie moved in from out of state and immediately went on all sorts of welfare programs in order to support his "strenuous" lifestyle. He then proceeded to attempt to build a political career by running for every available office.
Yeah...I can see how Ed admires this guy.

The history of Bernie being a life sucking parasite all his life might make for an interesting book.
What a surprise.

Maybe Bernie's mug should be the new MSNBC (Mainly Socialist News-Boy Collective) logo.

Congressman Bob Filner San Diego South Bay (near the border). Has also stated in the past that the reason he's not a member of the Socialist Party, is that they have no presence in the Congress.

I'm sure that Schultz believes that he and Sanders are the only true moderates on cable.
