Liberal Website Wonkette Disgracefully Attacks Trig Palin On His Third Birthday

Noel Sheppard's picture

What has become of today's liberalism that makes it acceptable to attack the mentally handicapped if they or their parents are conservatives?

Consider the following disgraceful posting about Trig Palin published at the left-leaning website Wonkette Monday:

That strange man yelling unintelligibly at Sarah Palin? He’s merely a lowly shepherd proclaiming the birth of our savior. Today is the day we come together to celebrate the snowbilly grifter’s magical journey from Texas to Alaska to deliver to the America the great gentleman scholar Trig Palin. Is Palin his true mother? Or was Bristol? (And why is it that nobody questions who the father is? Because, either way, Todd definitely did it.) It doesn’t matter. What matters is that we are privileged to live in a time when we can witness the greatest prop in world political history. [...]

“Why just celebrate tax day today, April 18th? It’s also Trig Paxson Van Palin’s 3rd birthday. His mom went to a lot of trouble to leak amniotic fluid over 8 states to make sure that he arrived in this world somewhat alive,” writes Wonkette operative “Barbara_i,” reminding us of the occasion. “Sarah went to a whole lot of trouble to name him ‘Van Palin,’ a ‘Van Halen’ reference he will never get.” Indeed.

Enjoy yourself today, Trig. Have fun! Get drunk (on purpose this time)! We can hardly wait for 15 years from now, when you will finally be able to vote and will be sent off by your mother’s junta to fight the Union in the Great Alaska War. It’ll be quite a loss. You’re the smartest one in that family.

What has happened in our society where something like this is considered acceptable political commentary?

(H/T Weasel Zippers)

*****Update: Mediaite's Tommy Christopher tried to talk some sense into Wonkette's editor today. Tried is the operative word.

Also, check out Wonkette's Twitter feed. They seem to be very pleased with themselves.

That. Is. Disgusting.

How vile must a person be to write something like that?

Apparently vile knows no bounds over there, I just read some of the comments, time for a shower.

It's crap like that stuff written that I want to see Palin be president of the US.  It would drive them into absolute apesh!t madness, possibly into mass suicide.

She can hold her own too, one of the things I appreciate about her.

Hence my very short post.

Because this makes me just as furious as that sexual assault of the six-year old by the TSA video, and I'm still hot about that one.

Not only is the original piece depraved, the comments.....ugh. I read about 20 and had to stop (mainly because I was curious if someone would say Win The Future!). The comments were beyond obscene.

It ain't right

Submitted by jon_torlin on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 2:39pm.

One of the worst things to do to a kid is to scare them in a traumatizing or confusing way.  That's what was done to this child.  They can do it "professionally" but it was never the right thing to do.  That child is going to need therapy or at least constant watching because this changes her worldview at an early age.

If these bastards are willing to do this sort of thing, they need to be dealt with the way a parent would violently defend its child.   I'm not a little concerned about this idea of "trusted travelers" biometric cards or whatever, that sounds like the makings of the Mark of the Beast or something, won't be able to buy food without one of these things or something along that vein.

I'm still angry that Congress isn't doing something against the TSA because of this crap.

Sorry bastards, ALL of them.

Now you've got me fuming over it again, too!

And one of the things we do see is if you categorically remove a group from any type of screening, well those who seek to do us harm will then exploit that group. So you have to be very careful on how you do it.”

Yes, by all means, let's let the bombers know that we're actually diluting the chances of their being randomly chosen for extra scrutiny  even further by adding another group into the equation.

And let's teach our children at an early age that government workers are entitled to take liberties with them that they would be instructed to scream for help over if attempted by anyone else!

Backpedaling Baroness of Bull Squeeze

Submitted by stratman on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 3:32pm.

Reno 2.0 explains that exempting certain groups would increase risk from thugs targeting those exempt from searches to commit crimes as their proxies. OK. Then Big Sis goes on to say they are looking into creating exempt groups of frequent travelers or others and utilizing biometric cards. Huh? Someone should clue 'The System Worked' Secretary of Homeland Security the outcome will be the same, the risks will the same.

Next on the Busted Border Babe's list of Progressive doublespeak was her comments about keeping things "equally" followed by the diametric "risk-based system" which sounds an awful lot like "profiling". The Left goes out of its way to dismiss and defame profiling in their lust for the egalitarianism of searching and assaulting a six year old girl for no damn good reason and NOW talk of changing their system to incorporate common sense methods of identifying security risks, methods each and everyone one of us use every time we interact with the public.

The TSA better start hiring retired police officers like crazy if they intend on profiling because most of the current crop of workers will not be able or trusted to profile properly.

Capricious Moral Compass

Submitted by stratman on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 3:57pm.

Therein lies the cause and effect of the backpedaling and contortion of language which Incompitano must perform.

The Left fights tooth and nail not to profile, or appear as profilers, but will profile if negative press/polling numbers insist. It's the tried and blue method of governance a la Clinton. In the process, they'll call profiling something else, as if sleight of hand parlor tricks fool everyone, to assuage their consciences.

Submitted by Blonde on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 4:44pm.

This whole thing just makes me see red.

I wrote Allen West after viewing that video. I understand some of the House Members are sponsoring some legislation to halt this horrifying practice by TSA. I hope West is amongst them.

That the public at large isn't shrieking over this is puzzling to me. How can we teach children about inappropriate touching and then allow public officials to fondle them in public like that? And how can Reno V.2.0 defend it? She is galactically stupid.

Picking on Trig for his 3rd birthday

Submitted by Beware the Manc... on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 7:06pm.

I try really really hard not to hate, but this story of how liberals who claim to be sensitive and kind makes me wish I could slap the "you know what" out of them. There is something seriously psyshologically wrong with people who write or agree with what was written about Trig and his family. Seriously mean, seriously hurtfull, devient people who hurt the innocent. How many examples can I give? Stalin, Hitler, Edi Amen, etc. And there is nothing more innocent in this world than a mentally handicapped child. I suspect there is a special place in He*l for people like this. Just my two cents...

When I was a teen we used to

Submitted by ricklail on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 12:24pm.

When I was a teen we used to ride around acting like we were talking in sign language.  In July of 1977 my first son was born. In November of 1978 he had meningitis. The results of this was he went deaf. Now I use sign language for real. I will never make fun of someone's looks, unless it is Helen Thomas, Janet Reno, or some other liberal weenie,  or handicap. They say what goes around comes around.

My wife works with kids like this everyday that have Downs or are autistic. This woman would get a thrashing from my wife.  We were driving down the road one day when a car pulled out in front of us. I shouted,'you retard."  Big mistake.

We have learned to live with unholiness and have come to look upon it as the natural and expected thing. Aiden Wilson "AW" Tozer

Vile, obscene, depraved aren't even strong enough

Submitted by TexasMom0517 on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 3:37pm.

But I don't know if there are stronger terms to describe the grossness of Wonkette's scurrilous piece.

Remember, there is no such thing as "shame" now. The bleeding hearts decided, decades ago, that "shame" was demeaning. Conscience, morality, shame, all those concepts are no longer "cool"- that's how we have become the depraved society we are. Parents don't parent, they worry about their children's "self-esteem." I am sickened by the "young people" the Obama administration courts- they are the dregs.

Submitted by marpel on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 11:23am.

Those Jacka$$es seem to be just happy, mentally healthy people, don't they? I had a special needs child who passed away 30 yrs ago, and I worshipped her...I would have taken a gun and shot anyone who said such awful things about her. And, even as a baby, she had much more character and grace in her tiny pinkie finger than any one liberal who even reads that website. Why would a challenged child and the mother who adores him be the subjects of such vitriol? Because liberals are so threatened, they don't know what to do except be vile. What a bunch of Aholes...

If I misunderstood;  no harm, no foul.

If not, you are way out of line.

As you well know it's different because the one being ridiculed isn't in the (D) camp.

Or perhaps someone (Jer?) can point me to some links where conservatives have savaged Rose Marie "Rosemary" Kennedy.

Vile Speech

Submitted by troxruss on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 4:40pm.

Such vile speech - is there any limit to the depths of liberal moral depravity? It sounds like the words of Satan himself.

But this kind of talk will eventually will be dealt with:

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." (Matt 12:36). So don't get weary - speak out against evil whenever it is found.

I screamed to the banner ad sponsor

Submitted by Deskpilot on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 6:13pm.

I took one look at that page, and promptly fired off a SCATHING e-mail to Kraft Foods as they had the top banner ad on that page at the time.
I know advertiser just spread their ads around hoping for some exposure but I was torqued enough to write them.

“Bravo Zulu” Deskpilot!

Submitted by Grumpy in Arizona on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 6:55pm.

As a retired sailor myself (ISC-AW), I commend you for your bravado and zeroing in on a proper target!
And as a person who has, no doubt, shared some of the same experiences as you… May I add my sympathies for the unsung victim of this despicable smear - Todd Palin.
Now shipmate, think back to some of the times you had to just sit-by and watch a policy or a decision enacted where you knew deep within your heart that the wrong course was being set… yet were powerless to do anything other than carry out your orders. That is the same feeling I get when seeing the honorable Mr. Palin. He cannot defend, he cannot react, or otherwise right the wrongs being perpetrated upon his family less he destroy the righteousness of the message his wife clearly espouses.
God bless the Palin family, and thank you for your service!
P.s. I have a nephew who is a AM(S) 2… I’m just as proud of his service as I am of yours… and Todd Palins come to think about it.

Good job deskpilot*

Submitted by cajun2 on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 7:08pm.

For you and others, this must have worked. I just saw an update on another site.. So many complaints were received that 3 of Wonkettes sponsors have dropped their ads on that site. Huggies, PapaJohns and a third I cannot recall.  Looks like it works. Of course, Papa Johns is now being accused of being homophobic...LOL

Is Palin his true mother? Or

Submitted by Rusty Shackleford on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 9:10pm.

Is Palin his true mother? Or was Bristol?

Psst: Hey goofy leftwing fundamentalist birther:  Palin is not the former Governor's first name.  It's her last name... just like Bristol's.

I know I know, with all the dumb in that article to rip apart I picked on something pretty trivial.  :)

I'm surprised no one else has picked this up ...

Submitted by Tom1969ca on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 2:19am.

... or maybe it just went off the end of everyone's vile-o-meter:

Is Palin [Trig's] true mother? Or was Bristol? (And why is it that nobody questions who the father is? Because, either way, Todd definitely did it.)

I'm sorry, but did the authorette actually just accuse Todd Palin of committing incest with his daughter Bristol?!?

I don't recall Todd ever running for any office; how is he considered "fair game" for such a slander, and having been accused of a felony he did not commit does he have any legal options here?

Holy Mother Of God!

Submitted by txradioguy on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 4:46am.

So I clicked on the link to go read the whole Tommy Christopher thing at Mediaite.

Good God!

The editor from Wonkette made it perfectly clear that he has no problems going after a kid with Downs Syndrome if it allows him to lauch a secondary attack on the childs mother.

Means to an end. They hate Sarah Palin with a degree of anger and cruelty I've never seen towards any public figure in my 42 years on this earth.

And somehow the "satirists" at Wonkette this this is not only funny but intelligent banter...and think you and I are stupid for not "getting" the joke.

If anyone ever needed any more proof that the Libtard @ssholes in this country think any criel trick...any vile act or deed isperfectly ok as long as it's aimed at a Republican/Conservative...here it is.

I'm going to go take a shower in bleach now...I feel that filthy after reading this crap from Wonkette.

PLEASE! send a nice thank you email to Pappa Johns for dumping their support of Wonkette right now. I am sure the leftards are screaming 'foul' and we need the folks at Pappa Johns to know we agree with their move.

Consumerism vs Liberalism

Submitted by jon_torlin on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 2:17pm.

This is what liberals hate about consumers, because consumers have such a powerful voice.

I would bet there's some lib out there who wants to enact some sort of "fairness doctrine" for their blogs to get ads.

never read Wonk before this,

Submitted by Mark81150 on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 2:24pm.

I went there last night after they scrubbed the original comments, and barely a peep from their own for a while. I mleft my opinion, colorful language and all. I expect it's to be cleansed now that they seem to be bouncing from one alternate personality to the next.

Tommy Christopher is the only redeemable classic liberal left in America it seems like. I may disagree with him on quite a bit, but he's a man of personal integrity and honor. He's never been anything but fair on the posts of his I've read.

He's worth a thousand Wonks in their thought sewer, and he'll be defamed and slandered for being a moral man among the deepest of the immoral left.

We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith. ~ Ronald Reagan

One bloggers explaination...

Submitted by Rukus on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 2:31pm.

...to another who didn't know what was going on:

Wonkette is a liberal hate site that made a big mistake today. They posted a reprehensible screed against little Trig Palin that really was beyond the Palin. Tea Partiers and Free Republic took note. They hammered the advertisers who began to quickly dump Wonkette. Then the author was put on probation and the editor-in-chief did a slimey half-apology pretending that he just loved little Trig. All in all, a very bad start to a day that quickly became wonderful - thanks to FR.  (#28)

I slammed on them pretty good this morning. Wish they had

Submitted by VanPastorMan on Thu, 04/21/2011 - 6:52pm.

left my post because at the time it was the only one against the article. It's hard to believe that some people can be so hateful and blinded by it. The stupid apology makes me sick because they said it was a satire piece that appeared to make fun of Trig. Well, it was. It just didn't "appear" to be. I told the whole group of lefties that they were sick. Just because they pulled the piece doesn't mean they are healthy again. They are a bunch of sick disgusting people who appear to not have a conscience.
