Wanda Sykes Asks Leno 'Has Obama Had One Relaxing Day Since He's Been In Office?'
As strife continued in Libya, and Japan dug out from an epic earthquake and tsunamis leaving one of our largest trading partners in the midst of a nuclear crisis, Barack Obama went golfing this past Saturday.
Obviously clueless about the President's numerous golf outings and vacations since Inauguration Day, comedienne Wanda Sykes actually asked Jay Leno on Tuesday's "Tonight Show," "Has Obama had one relaxing day since he's been in office?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
WANDA SYKES: I just want to know, has the President, has Obama had one relaxing day since he's been in office? Has he had, I mean, just look. Soon as he got in office, just one thing after the other, just, you know, the banks, the housing. Now he's got Boehner coming in his office crying every day. [ Crying ]

SYKES: You know, it's just everything. And just like has he had one day where he could just put his feet up and go, "It's good to be me," just – no! Not one day. And I just hope Michelle is growing some weed in that herb garden.

I guess this brainiac missed what was all the buzz this weekend when our illustrious President decided to go golfing in the middle of a nuclear and humanitarian crisis in Japan.
As ABC's Tahman Bradley reported Saturday:
For the second week in a row, the most powerful man in the world stepped away from the White House to hit the golf course.
Even as his administration and the U.S. military help Japan recover from a devastating earthquake, and as the world worries about Fukushima's nuclear reactor, the president could not resist taking advantage of the 48-degree weather in the Washington, D.C., area. [...]
Last fall, Obama went golfing darn near every weekend.
You hear that, Wanda?

And the first family has had its share of vacations, too. As CBS's Political Hotsheet reported last August:
This is Mr. Obama's 9th vacation since taking office. As of today, he has spent all or part of 38 days on "vacation" away from the White House. He has also made 14 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 32 days. It brings his total time away to all or part of 70 days.
70 days.
As that was written on August 19, that means in his first year and a half in office, the President had 70 days to "just put his feet up and go, 'It's good to be me.'"
Somehow Sykes missed them all as well as the ones that have come since - including just three days ago!
Color me very unsurprised.

When it came time to unwind, Obama relaxed with six vacation trips that spanned all or part of 32 days. In 2009, he took four vacations over 58 days, according to Knoller.
Obama also managed to squeeze in 29 rounds of golf and shoot hoops no less than 20 times.

The job of President is SUPPOSED to be difficult, trying, hard. The Televison Age presidents have aged at phenomenal rates.
The present encumbrance merits no pity. In point of fact, really, the only president I can think of that really merits pity has gotta be Truman.
Think about it. He ushered in a means of warfare heretofore unmatched in scope. It is my hope he had nightmares over it each and every night of his life... and I say that not out of vengenace, but with compassion and pity; a demonstration that he was a human being and not some blood-drinking robot.
The one thin shred of chance that this country has of avoiding decades of undoing BHO's harm would be his decision (that word!) to give himself a lifetime of golf time... by resigning, and telling Biden and the rest of the cabinet to do so as well. Boehner as caretaker would at least keep us from being spent to death.

Mr. Obama, this is the Presidency, your absolute and full attention is always a primary job requirement! This is true now more than ever!
The man of inaction but many words that she speaks of has had more relaxation time in two years than I've had in any given ten year period in my working life. This, in the face of a crumbling nation and world where anybody possessing a modicum of integrity and concern for Americans would be working day and night without the excessive leisure time that he enjoys.
If you are not performing well at your job, it is an indicator that you need to bear down and figure out how to do it better. Obama has no such concern for is job skills, which is criminal negligence given the vital importance of his position. Any one of us wouldn't have made it past the probationary period of a new job with this kind of poor performance or work ethic.
Obama is failing on nearly every front and still hasn't the self awareness to understand that he has to quit campaigning and start doing the actual work. He also can't see that the cronies he's appointed are miserably failing as well. At a time when he needs to reach out to the wisest people who have a history of experience and proven success, he remains loyal the the immature, inexperienced theorists who continue to doggedly take us toward collapse.

Not only does he have the above heavy lifters, somewhere he got someone to break down into his comprehension level the Second Law of Thermodynamics, and he is applying it to society. Just like he wants him to. I have said it before... I am dead certain BHO would use WMDs on Americans if it suited his purposes. There is precedent: Saddam on the Sunnis in Iraq, and the forced famine in Ukraine by Stalin come to mind (no wmd in the latter case, but the example is still cogent.).

My perspective was a bit off. You'll forgive me if I slip into these periods where I assume the that the President of The United States is pro-American. It's an old habit I've developed, which apparently doesn't apply to Obama. Perhaps he considers himself pro-American, but just a theoretical America envisioned by his academic, elitist friends.
It all goes to my final question. How long can we survive without leadership? When you add up all the deliberate divisiveness, trampling the Constitution, spending us into insolvency, the appointment of so many inept and anti-American people, etc etc, one can only come to a single plausible conclusion, that the lack of leadership now, after the blitz of damage, is designed to make America collapse, for it's ultimate overthrow by his ruling class.

People don't realize how stressful it is to play basketball & golf and to organize well planned parties!
