WaPo Editor Tells Keith Olbermann 'Michele Bachman Has a History of Saying Crazy-Ass Things'
Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and Washington Post associate editor Eugene Robinson said on national television Thursday that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) has a history of saying "crazy-ass things."
After doing so on MSNBC's "Countdown," Robinson was offered $100 by Keith Olbermann if he would title his next article using exactly those words (video follows with transcript and commentary):
KEITH OLBERMANN, HOST: And lastly, and I shudder to raise this topic. Mr. Boehner has put Michele Bachmann on the intelligence committee? Your turn.
EUGENE ROBINSON: Yes. OK. Look, here are the two basic problems with this. Number one, Michele Bachmann has a history of saying crazy things, crazy-ass things, let me just say it.
And so, people may be inclined to take the crazy things she says about foreign policy more seriously because they`ll say, well, gee, is this something she learned, a secret from the intelligence committee? So, that is troublesome if -- you know, if world leaders, even Kim Jong-il is listening to what she has to say about North Korea and thinking, gee, maybe that`s from the intelligence committee. Now, that`s one problem.
The other problem is, you know, they actually learned secrets on the intelligence committee. You want Michele Bachmann as a guardian of our nation`s most precious secrets? I don`t.
OLBERMANN: I`ll pay you $100 if you can convince the headline writers at "The Post" to title the next one of your columns, "Michele Bachmann has a history of saying crazy-ass things." It`s got to be in the headline.
ROBINSON: A hundred bucks?
OLBERMANN: Hundred bucks.
ROBINSON: OK. I don`t know if it`ll be in the next column, but we`ll see -- give me a month.
OLBERMANN: All right. Or 100 bucks to you or $1,000 to charity, your choice.
ROBINSON: There you go.
OLBERMANN: Gene Robinson of "The Washington Post" and MSNBC -- as always, great thanks.
(LAUGHTER)
ROBINSON: Good to talk to you, Keith.
Makes you wonder if Robinson would get another Pulitzer Prize if the Post agrees to this.
Stay tuned.

How ironic ol' Gene says Bachmann said "some crazy-ass things". Guess ol' Gene has no knowledge or recollection of some the famous "crazy ass" Olbermann gems like:
"Mr. Bush you are a facist. get them to print you a t-shirt with "fascist" on it!" on ~!!!112111ddfd
I guess ol' Gene didn't think that was so "crazy ass". Guess he thinks it's just fine and peachy when a bitterly partisan leftist talkshow host makes flagrant, unpatriotic, if not treasonous accusations against a sitting POTUS during a war
But anyone (like Michelle Bachmann) who is outspoken in their defense of the U.S. Constitution is somehow "crazy-ass" to ol' Gene.
Right, Eugene

Like the former SEIU lecturer and Chicago community cheeser-offer pretending to be POTUS and CIC has done such a stellar job of keeping our "most precious secrets" actually secret.
Right now, thanks to a major security breach that took place over at Foggy Bottom, an agency run by Hilary Clinton (who incidentally was tapped by Obama for the job), many of our secrets are now occupying publicly accessible servers that are scattered all over the planet.
I am pretty sure those who wish to do us harm are pouring over that infomation to see if they can find some bit of information they can use to further harm this country, as well as to weed out those who may be helping us in the fight against the 7th Century barbarians.
Maybe down the road you could write a whole series of articles, heck, maybe even a book, on those who the Muslim terrorists hunted down and killed due to the fact that they were providing us with valuable information.
Nahh, they don't award Putzlitzers for that.

Robinson and Olberdoffus are engaged in what the MSM does best: "reality re-engineering". Didn't seem to work for them in the November election, and it work work now. But they sure amuse themselves when they do it.

Libtards seem to be organically unable to keep from projecting when they get into their spews. Pretty much anything they accuse conservatives of is one of their own nasty bits.

Robinson argues that Bachmann is crazy, for the fear is that Kim Jong-il may misinterpret what she says to be information she learned from the intelligence committee? So ... Robinson is worried about Kim Jong-il misinterpretions?
When Robinson says that Bachmann is crazy, all he's saying is that he really disagrees with her. And in typical fashion, he can't just leave it at disagreement. Because she disagrees with him, she must be crazy. As if Robinson will allow you to disagree a little, but to disagree a lot is evidence of insanity.
The vapid blather from liberal journalists on MSNBC is just stunning.

How about the "crazy ass - things" Mr. VP Bidden said about his POTUS when he got elected...I recall reading something about POTUS being a "clean an articulate" guy....
How about Harry Reid stating that any Latino who is a Republican should be ashamed...to name a few examples.
You don't see these two sorry ass clowns complaining about it on TV now do we?
MSNBC keeps these Gene "loon" Robinson on because they need to show to the public that they have an affirmative action plan. Nothing this man says impress me.

I have seen Bacchman many times in the last year or so, nice, pleasant but never really paid too much heed to her.
The last few days and ESPECIALLY last night on Hannity I find she is an excellent spokesperson who in spite of spittles asking her stupid bullshit questions that she RIGHTFULLY IGNORED just pretty much hammers the libtards with facts.
She handled that little POS Weiner easily last night.
One of you folks showed her academic and professional achievements earlier and they dwarf the Sarge and Spittles and Olberdouche BY FAR.
On a personal note, she has been a foster parent to 23 children so I ask that ugly loser EUGENE, WTF have YOU done to better this world?

I know you meant it as a compliment but Bachmann vs. Weiner was a horrific mismatch. An autistic chimpanzee could handle Weiner with ease. The more I think about it, it's possible that an autistic chimpanzee corpse could handle Weiner with ease.

If Michele Bachmann has a history of saying "crazy-ass things," then I would suggest that Eugene Robinson has made a career of writing "crazy-ass" OP-EDs like his brethren at the WaPo - Milbank, Dionne, etcetera.

Eugene Robinson only says these things because Michelle Bachman is a White woman..... Isn't that how it goes? Robinson usually accuses anyone who disagrees with Obama's policies as racist, so it's only fair to call out his racism.

Submitted by mang on Sat, 01/08/2011 - 12:16pm.
All I hear from deranged liberals is about all the crazy things Bachmann has said, but I can't find anything crazy that she has said. Typical baseless accusations. I admit Palin has said a few things here and there that I don't like, and they are going to try to portray Bachmann and Palin as the same person to the ignorant voters on the left who see these two women and don't know the difference.
I'd vote for her. I hope she ends up on the ticket.
