Huffington Post Gushes 'Obamas Color-Coordinate At Basketball Game'
By Noel Sheppard | November 29, 2010 | 10:40
The media's adoration of the first family knows no bounds.
Take the Huffington Post for example, which on Monday felt it was newsworthy to inform readers that when the Obamas attended a college basketball game this weekend, they actually wore the same colors as one of the competing teams:
The First Family attended the Howard University versus Oregon State basketball match on Saturday, and they showed their love of the game -- and for Michelle Obama's brother Craig Robinson who coaches Oregon -- with a little color-coordination.
Each of the Obamas donned orange and/or black, Oregon State's colors. Michelle paired a long sweater vest with a bright belt and the girls mixed in their team spirit, right down to Malia's orange sneakers.
You know, I bet that was the first time in American history a family attended a sporting event wearing the colors of the team they were supporting.
My understanding is the Huffington Post plans to next report how Mrs. Obama has come up with an ingenious idea to put a slice of American cheese atop a grilled ground beef pattie.
Readers won't want to miss that.

They were simply dressed this
Submitted by Barack_must_go..... on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 10:47am.
They were simply dressed this way because Barack's concubine Reggie Love thinks of everything when it come to improving the image of his master.Remember the mom jeans incident, Reggie still can't sit down over that one.
Barack_Must_Go.....
Here in Florida, we laugh at couples who dress like that...
Submitted by wcgreen on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 11:08am.
Usually, color-coordinated couples travel in RVs that bear plaques that say "Dunworkin" and spare tire covers that have their portraits airbrushed upon them. They rarely tip their waitresses and they always forget to turn off their left-turn signal.
We natives stay far away from them ....

Tipping?

Have you ever considered that your disdain of those retired folks may be the very reason they fail to leave you a tip??
Nope

They are just cheap with an entitlement mentality.
Nope, they're just cheap.
Submitted by Newsbubba on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 4:29pm.
My guess is that they didn't tip very well when they worked, if they ever did. There are, unfortunately, many people who can ALWAYS find an excuse to stiff the wait staff or bartender. If you're a nomad just passing through, you don't even have to worry about them remembering your tight ass.
I have my own personal way of deciding whether to tip or not. I usually toss out some incendiary comment about Chief Smack in da Malf, and if it gets a snicker, they get a tip, providing the service warrants one. If they look at me like the conservative bigot I probably am, tough.
Of course, the exception is if they are a smoking hot bartender or cocktail waitress with a great personality to boot, I don't care whether they even voted! I am soooo shallow.
Works for me.

I see they're right on top of things at the Post. Of course, I'm exaggerating, but only just a little. After all, I'm not real sure if they are an actual news organization or something else. If this is hard news for the Post, what's next? Speaker Pelosi's new line of eye shadow? She will have more time on her hands after January. Maybe they could do an in-depth analysis on the lifestyle changes of all the Democrats who recently joined the ranks of the unemployed. Hey! There's an idea. MIght even get some commentary from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on the new " shovel-ready " jobs available for them.

I'm surprised that Obama actually took a stand, apparently supporting one team.
Also, isn't Howard pretty much a "black" university?
Give him extra points for that....it must have been a tough choice.
Lay off the Huff Post
Submitted by SonnyPalermo on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 12:05pm.
Lay off the Huff Post. One time I was at a swank cocktail party on the upper west side and in front of all the guests I inquired about where Paris and Kim K where clubbing that weekend. The place turned into an EF Hutton commercial - you could have heard a pin drop. Apparently Paris and Kim are on the outs. Imagine my embarrassment!
Needless to say, most of that social set will have nothing to do with me anymore and it all could have been avoided if I had just read the huff po that morning, where the tiff was the top story . . .

Obama in Sports
Submitted by BrianinOntario on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 12:17pm.
What gets me about the media is how they keep saying that Obama is the first President who is interested in sports. I just heard Colin Cowherd say that Obama is the first President who was really concerned about how our national sports are working and I was stunned.
I could have sworn that our previous President was an owner and general manager of a baseball team. Didn't they make fun of Bush for choking on a pretzel while watching a football game? I seem to remember President Bush sponsoring little league games on the White House grounds.
I don't know if it's intentional or just pure stupidity, but the fawning over Obama is preposterous.

And I recall thet President Gerald Ford was a pretty fair football player at the University of Michigan, and Dwight Eisenhower was a great running back for ARMY.....Barack is a fan, not a player.....

As far as I know
Submitted by phryingphish on Mon, 11/29/2010 - 1:00pm.
As far as I know the president has always been "neutral" when attending sporting events (Not Obama, presidents in general) because he is supposed to be for the whole country, not a specific city, town, state or college. Another gaff in my book. Obama has shown he is ignorant of any social behavior outside his cushy little world.

HuffPo Lib Reporter: "Look everyone! A black family, attending a sporting event, and it appears that they actually were able to dress themselves appropriately for the event!"
Lib reader of HuffPo: "WOW! You mean they weren't wearing gang apparel or hoochie-mama clothes??? We sure have come a long way!"
HuffPo Lib Reporter: "Yes comrade, a black family that can dress themselves normally! We most definitely have arrived" **wipes a tear**

Look, if the Left want to slobber and drool over Obama's clothes, let them.
God knows they can't slobber and drool over his economic policies, foreign policies, or achievements since taking office.

I mean, the entire planet is becoming unhinged everywhere you turn, but these goobers are more concerned with the color coordination of the Obamas.
I bet these morons would be equally gushing had Obama showed up in a black robe and turban, and Michelle and his daughters had been sporting similarly colored burkas.
We truly exist in insane times.

Yes, he is color

Yes, he is color coordinated. Communists often accessorize with the color red. I have yet to meet a Communist that didn't like it, even if it's in dripping blood.

Communists especially like dripping blood. After all, according to Walter Duranty, in order to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs!

At first, i thought the headline was referring to Obama PLAYING basketball and getting 12 stitches from an elbow...
So, the "color coordinated" comment, and the "gushes" comment, threw me, made me conjure up this image of color coordinated, gushing, basketball...
"What's black and white and red all over?"
nevermind.
sorry.
The AP

reported earlier that "obama leaned forward in his seat"; that he "sipped a drink from a bottle of water"; and that he "munched on some food".
I think AP's content far, far outweighs Huff's description, don't you? At least insofar as relevant facts, the whole story, and newsworthy content are concerned? I know some of you will say it's close, but heck -- I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs about the substantive differences between talking about color - coordinated clothes vs. the real, true-life actions of this noble person. Lucky for everyone at NB, though, it's past my bedtime, so I'll spare you the details. Unless you ask......

Not one single media outlet,

Not one single media outlet, Fox included, have questioned how it is Obama had so much time this weekend to play basketball and attend games not to mention receiving and recovering from minor surgery while the Korean thing and Wikileaks were the top news. Oh, and let's also not forget the economy which continues to worsen. Does this man do ANYTHING but entertain himself and his wife at our expense?
