Schultz Alleges Voter Fraud on 'Dancing With the Stars,' Lib Guest Says Bristol Palin 'Sucks'

By Noel Sheppard | November 17, 2010 | 22:06

MSNBC's Ed Schultz on Wednesday hysterically alleged Bristol Palin's successful movement into the finals of "Dancing With the Stars" was a product of voter fraud.

Maybe even worse, liberal radio host Stephanie Miller thrice told the "Ed Show" host Bristol "sucks":

ED SCHULTZ, HOST: And finally tonight, Sarah Palin says she hasn't decided if she's running for president, but she sure is pretty confident about her chances for success. Listen to what she just told Barbara Walters.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BARBARA WALTERS: If you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?

SARAH PALIN: I believe so.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

SCHULTZ: Well, Tea Party faithful aren't waiting two years to vote for Palin. They are rallying behind Sarah’s daughter Bristol. On "Dancing With the Stars" last night, the audience vote sent Bristol to the finals even though she was the worst dancer left in the competition. Now, I'm not an expert on dancing, there are many that have, a lot of different things going on here like voter fraud, huh? An entertainment website found posts on conservative message boards urging Tea Partiers to take advantage of a glitch in the show’s voting system. With these guys on her side maybe Sarah does have a chance in 2012 to be president. Who knows? But I think I need to get some backup on this one when it comes to the entertainment field. Let’s go to Stephanie Miller, nationally syndicated radio talk show host. You’re smiling, now. Did you vote in this?

STEPHANIE MILLER, LIBERAL TALK RADIO HOST: Listen, with all of the right-wing websites jamming the lines I couldn't get through, Ed. I wanted to vote for her. You know, I don't know if it's a conspiracy, Ed. I think if, the fact that, no offense, but she sucks and she’s still on the show is probably evidence enough that maybe there might be something. There was a story today a guy shot his television out her dancing was so bad.

SCHULTZ: Well, she's probably going to win the thing.

MILLER: We'll know, if she beats Jennifer Grey we know there is something fishy because nobody puts Jennifer Grey in a corner, Ed. We'll know something's up.

SCHULTZ: I mean is she really that bad a dancer? I don't watch this show. I mean, I don't -- you know, it's not -- I just don't watch this show. So, I don't know. I don't know what to judge her, I guess. But you're telling me she's terrible.

MILLER: It's a professional term out here in Hollywood, Ed, but she sucks. Sucks is the word. Yeah.

For those missing Miller's joke "nobody puts Jennifer Grey in a corner," this was a humorous reference to her hit film "Dirty Dancing."

Unfortunately, there was little else funny about this segment.

Consider for a moment if Bristol was President Obama's daughter, or Joe Biden's, or Hillary Clinton's, or any leading Democrat figure. What would be the outrage if a conservative radio host on national television said she sucks?

Of course, this double standard shouldn't surprise anyone, for the vile press treatment of Palin and her entire family since the moment she moved into the limelight in August 2008 has been deplorable.

Sadly, as long as she stays in that limelight, it's not going to stop.

As for voter fraud, don't liberals always claim that when their candidate loses?

Guilty Pleasure

Submitted by miss911ninja on Wed, 11/17/2010 - 10:44pm.

What Ed and Stephanie don't get is that people don't cast their votes based just on dancing ability alone. Jennifer Grey might be technically much better, but she was a dancer to begin with. People are voting for Bristol because she's very appealing, and she's made steady improvement. And she does not suck. The judges have taken note and given her some very high marks, although in total they were not as high as the others.

I must admit that DWTS is my guilty pleasure! My best friend had been bugging me to watch it since day one, so last season I finally relented. I LOVE it! It's really fun to watch the process of the dancers learning their moves and growing into better dancers.....or not. But Bristol has!

You're onto something here, Eddie, you sly fox, to be sure! I'll bet these fraudulent voters are getting huge piles of walking around cash from foreigners, who are using Hong Kong Banks' credit cards to launder drug cartel money into paying for Bristol Palin votes on DWTS.

I'm sure that this is your golden parachute. Just before MSNBC fires you for galactic-absurdity, your Investigative Journalism skills in this DWTS voter fraud case will force Objama appoint you to replace Holder at DoJ for a few months before your ascension to the Supreme Court of the USA.

So let's see if we can look

Submitted by Deskpilot on Wed, 11/17/2010 - 11:10pm.

So let's see if we can look at both sides of the DOUBLE STANDARD MIRROR of election fraud:

In this past election cycle, a weaker candidate in NV polls above the incumbent for SEN and the inscumbent wins because of an organized, corrupt union machine and wins by a statewide 5%, taking only the the gambling counties. Ed, "............" CRICKETS

http://elections.nytimes.com/2010/results/senate (accessed 11/17)

An underdog dancer polls poorly, is agreeably the lesser dancer, and without an organized machine, this blowhard yells VOTER FRAUD when the electors, BY SEPARATE DIALING numbers choose her. It is the integrity of the vote that counts and all we hear is FRAUD.

Screw you ED!!!! If this is the best that the RIGHT can do IF they are rigging an elections, SHUT UP and be thankful we didn't run the table on the left completely on Nov. 2

A glitch in the voting system?  Too bad you liberal wing nuts aren't concerned about system glitches when it's your guy getting the votes!  Be careful, your double standard is showing:o)

Jennifer Gray has a history of dancing. Kyle is used to performing.  Bristol came into this cold, no experience, just a desire to try, and it's been a real pleasure watching her learn and grow.  Is she the best dancer?  No, but whether big mouth Ed likes it or not, the fact is that the show isn't about who's the best.  It's about who the people like best and who they vote for, and they're voting for Bristol.  Too bad if the liberals don't like it, that's the way it is.

Libs don't get how the scoring works

Submitted by sshuffield70 on Thu, 11/18/2010 - 12:03am.

Okay, maybe most people.  They don't talk about how the rankings, and therefore the cuts, work.

Live judging is 50%, and call-in vote is 50%....BUT not quite what you may think.  I've pulled up the scores from Monday which led to Brandy's dismissal.

Jennifer Grey - 60 (4)

Kyle Massey -58 (3)

Brandy - 57 (2)

Bristol Palin - 53 (1)

Both the judging results and call-in results are based on rank standings.  Grey gets 4, Brandy gets 2, Bristol gets 1 on the live judging.  Bristol only needed to get to third place in the call-in to stay.  I think the call-in is weighted in a tie.  Assuming the call-in vote followed the live judging, but flipping Brandy and Bristol, the actual final ranking for Tuesday would be:

Grey 8, Massey 6, Palin 3*, Brandy 3 (with Brandy's lower call in ranking the reason why she's gone).

Truth be told, Bristol didn't need a whole lot of votes to stay.  Just enough to stay out of last.

"STEPHANIE MILLER, LIBERAL TALK RADIO HOST: Listen, with all of the right-wing websites jamming the lines I couldn't get through, Ed."   I haven't watched this season, but I have cast votes in a past season as a favor to a family member.  If "right-wingers" were jamming the phone lines for anyone but Bristol, all they'd succeed in doing is casting votes for her competition.  And it's not possible to tie up a line for long.  I can believe that the lines were jammed, but I really doubt politically motivated right-wingers were jamming any line except Bristol's.   I'd wager that there are a lot of anti-Palin votes are being cast, but theif effectiveness is diluted.  If you're pro-Palin, you vote for Palin.  If you're anti-Palin, who do you vote for?  Their  votes are scattered to the winds.

Submitted by motherbelt on Thu, 11/18/2010 - 7:07am.

Rush talked about this yesterday and commented that it's  hilarious that, all of a sudden, liberals are against "affirmative action."  All of a sudden they want the winner picked based solely on ability!

I'm not watching this year (personal reasons) but I hope she wins, just so we can watch all the libs' heads explode on TV.

And Ed, it's not  "glitch"  in the voting system.  Multiple votes are allowed..even encouraged....you know, like in Chicago!  You get 10 votes on your cell phone. And you can go online and vote 10 more times.

And they can't "jam the lines" as has been accused because each contestant has a different number to call.

Rush also commented that Brandi's partner Max, whose parents emigrated from Russia, was the one who appreciated the fact that the people get to vote, and their votes count.

My wife said that Bristol was not that good  at the start but she has gotten better each week. The competetion was not for pros. I told  my wife this might happen and the libs would have $*&# fits. Looks like I was right.

This is such a sad situation to go after Sarah through Bristol.  They hate her so much they wiil do anything to TRY and make her look bad. Libs like Shitz are sick. It is going to get worse. I can't see how but it will

Really, it is.  Unless, you are an agent for one of the so called 'stars', it should not bother you this much.  OK, so a few pundits are encouraging Palin votes, (Tammy Bruce, etc.)  I don't know, I find that rather amusing.  Not much more.   Bruno is a judge.  It's not a good show.  It's like an auto race w/o any real physical damage, we're looking for the wreck.....in dancing.  Ed, lighten up.   Sequins. Lighten up.

Is it a conspiracy? Probably yes.  Just as it was when that really bad singer stayed on American Idol so long. OK, that happens every season, where some hyper odd singer w/little talent or a beautiful singer w/little talent stay on past the obviously much better singer.  We in the audience, the little people, find that entertaining.  Text away!

If Palin never runs for President, or loses in a shot to be come President, DWTS will have very little to do w/it, nor will the TLC show.  Far less than say Obama being on Oprah regularly, getting her blessing and tv time for his books and presidential run.  Not like he was hawking himself on tv for votes or anything.

Can Bristol dance well? Better than most of us.  Far less than the better dancers on that show.  No, she's not better than the last couple of people booted off.  She knows that.  She's enjoying it.  I don't consider her a role model or a spokesperson for me.  She's the daughter of a famous woman, with an ex-boyfriend who is the flavor of the month for the liberal Hollywood Grade D groupies.   I wish she would go to college, get a job, be a good mom, and stay off of my tv and supermarket magazines. But, I think she likes the attention...

Memo to all Palins: close the Facebook and Twitter accounts. Leave that to your moms professional team.  Yes, by the way, everyone is following your every word online.........Palins.Don't bother w/responding to critics.  While you're at it, do not use slurs and ugly words to show your anger.  Stupid, Dumb, Immature, and you sure ought to know better by now.
