Palin's 'Can't Party Like It's 1773' Line Mocked By History Challenged Ifill and Kos

Sarah Palin at Monday's Tea Party rally in Reno, Nevada, told attendees, "Don't be thinking that we've got victory for America in the bag yet...We can't party like it's 1773."

Clearly not understanding that was the year of the famed Boston Tea Party, history challenged media members, including PBS's Gwen Ifill and Daily Kos's Markos Moulitsas, mocked Palin via their twitter accounts (screencaps follow with video of Palin's remarks courtesy Right Scoop, h/t Perfunction):

Due to small font size, readers might not be able to recognize that sixteen geniuses re-tweeted Ifill's comment while 21 re-tweeted Moulitsas's.

Maybe even more humorous, the Huffington Post actually reprinted Moulitsas's tweet as "News Broken on Twitter."

Of course, all these geniuses needed to do was a simple Google search of "historical events of 1773." The first response would have helped them identify that the Boston Tea Party happened on December 16th of that year.

I guess it's easier for arrogant members of the Left to just ridicule rather than research. Certainly, that's not at all surprising from the perpetually factually-challenged Moulitsas.

But for Ifill, as the host of PBS's "Washington Week" as well as a senior correspondent on the "PBS NewsHour," she has what Ricky Ricardo would call some splainin' to do.

I guess all there supposed book learnin' can't stand up to Palin's even though Palin went to a community college...

Considering how the Democrats don't recognize the years they controlled the Congress under Bush (2007-2008), it's not surprising that the Left doesn't care about facts.

Remember Eleanor Clift on The McLauglin Group a while back ?

CLIFT:  "And Palin said 'I can see Russia from my house.'"

BUCHANAN & McLAUGHLIN:  "No she didn't.  That's what Tina Fey said on Saturday Night Live."

"She's so smart"...Yep, Gwen, she is...Sarah Palin is smarter than you, apparently, since she knows that the Boston Tea Party took place in 1773, and you clearly don't.

So much for "objective" journalism.

No comment is necessary concerning Moulitsas' comment...It's been well established what an imbecilic, fact-challenged mutant he is.

Idiots.

Ifill is smarter than Palin -- and I'll prove it

Submitted by Galvanic on Tue, 10/19/2010 - 6:21pm.

Sarah Palin has a BA in Journalism from the University of Idaho, which we all  know is in a fly-over state known for its potatoes and survivalists.

Gwen Ifill has a BA in Communications from the exclusive Simmons College, which describes itself this way . . .

"Simmons College is a nationally distinguished, small university in the heart of Boston providing exceptional graduate and undergraduate study integrated with career preparation."

Ipso facto, Ifill is smarter than Palin.   ;-)

Oh, and i assume it's up here on newsbusters somewhere... but Rush was talking about how Christine O'Donnell was being critisized by media all over the place for asking "Where in the Constitution does it say 'Separation of Church and State?'"

And, of course, it doesn't...  but because the "law students" in attendance laughed, she is being ridiculed.  When she shot back "can you name the protections in the first amendment," the libtard just stammered about religion, refused to answer, and just said "Let the moderator ask the questions."

Of course, that part didn't make the MSM.
