President Obama's Official Twitterer Connected To MoveOn.org

The woman that poses as Barack Obama on all his social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter is connected to the far-left organization MoveOn.org.

For those scratching their heads, the President in theory is a member of these websites. However, he obviously isn't responsible for typing in the little messages that are going out to his followers almost 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

On Friday, the Wall Street Journal revealed the identity of the current Twitterer as Mia Cambronero.

Our friends at Sweetness & Light have discovered that she is a senior fellow at the New Organizing Institute which is described by Discover The Networks (h/t Story Balloon):

NEW ORGANIZING INSTITUTE (NOI)

* Established by MoveOn.org in November 2005
* Grassroots program that trains young political organizers to work for progressive campaigns and organizations

On November 22, 2005, MoveOn.org Executive Director Eli Pariser announced that his group had created the New Organizing Institute (NOI), "a unique grassroots program that trains young, technology-enabled political organizers to work for progressive campaigns and organizations." Victory in the 2006 midterm elections was NOI's immediate priority. Said Pariser: "The Internet has made huge changes in politics ... Now, our [MoveOn's] former Organizing Director Zack Exley is working on cultivating the next generation of ‘online organizers' at the New Organizing Institute. The first step: find 50 talented up-and-coming organizers, put them through an all-expenses-paid training week, and place them on 2006 campaigns where they can really make a difference."

As S&L noted, NOI's original Organizing Director was Zack Exley:

For those of you who might not recognize the name, you can check out his lengthy entry at Discover The Networks.

But suffice to say that Mr. Exley is an activist with the domestic terrorists known as the Ruckus Society. He has also worked as an undercover labor union organizer.

However, his great online achievement was his creation of a ‘phishing’ site, which pretended to be the official website for George Bush.

And this is what the person acting as the President's Twitterer used to be affiliated with.

Color me unsurprised not only that this is the case, but that so-called journalists in the mainstream media haven't reported it.

Of course, even if they had, the White House might not have answered questions concerning this position for according to the Journal, "Ms. Cambronero and the DNC did not immediately return messages seeking comment."

Apparently, just another example of that "openness" candidate Obama talked about with his fingers crossed behind his back.
