When will CNN fact check this...

Is getting better (at least in the first part of the video).  He's beginning to bring some of the Obama ticks into his portrayal, the odd, choppy way of speaking, with the raising and lowering of pitch at the end of his sentences.  Also the tennis match head swivel.  Now he needs to ratchet it up about ten times to really make it work.

The interpreter was great. 

Well, we'll just have to hope SNL keeps the pedal to the medal.  This might eventually be funny.

I hope he fails, too.

SNL better be careful. They are at great risk of being described as 'not a real comedy show' by the Obama administration.

This is certainly not the first Obama satire the SNL has performed, but perhaps with an application of trend analysis, we can use the frequency and severity of the parodies as one more tool with which to measure Obama's political strength and popularity.

Why?

SNL is produced, written, and performed by staunch liberals.  In the first months of this Administration, they laid off biting satire of Obama's performance and policies because they were still in awe of the so-called 'rock star."  Theskits tended to poke fun at the over-the-top infatuation with the President.

But TV is all about ratings, and SNL knows that if it's going to sustain and increase its audience, its political satire is going to have to be topical and sting.  As the independents grow increasingly disenchanted with Obama, watch for the nasty SNL skits to increase in frequency.  

The Obama-ite are relying on strong, enthusiastic support from the same demographic that make up most of SNL's audience.  If SNL's rating improve when they increase Obama-slamma skits, it's bad news for them.

LBJ 1968: "Oh my God, we've lost Walter Cronkite."

BHO 2009: "Oh my God, we've lost Lorne Michaels."  

The whole bit is based on the premise that it is wrong for Obama to lecture China on financial matters when they are loaning so much money to the US.

In this sketch, "Hu" (that's his family's name, not Jintao) knows he's being screwed from word one, but he's playing dumb before "turning on" the sarcasm.

Sure, Armisen's  impression needs a lot of work, but this sketch was all about his policies.

I justed watched it on the DVR. I wonder how many hacky SNL shows we must sit through to see another one this good. Even the Palin 2012 movie "paid for by the DNC" was funny.

I got to thinking a little bit ago. The shoe is on the other foot now.

I don't like the taudry Teabagger sexual reference one bit. It offends me because it trivializes my viewpoint.

Shouldn't I feel the same way about this sketch too? Should I revel in the sexual humor at the expense of discussing the core issues?

I mean, I dislike what the guy is doing, but to enjoy it being put in sexual terms places me at the same level as Chris Matthews and other of his kind.

Or does it? Any thoughts on whether I would be hypocritical in laughing at the sexual jokes while complaining about the sexual humor used against me as a Tea Party participant.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this doesn't appear very pro-democrat to me.  They're really protraying obama as a clueless idiot (not far from the truth in my opinion).  I think the best thing to do for the next 3 years is to make fun of obama and other liberals as often as humanly possible.  I know it's easy to get mad, but it's easier to make fun of them.
