Just how bad for Obama were Tuesday's election results?

So bad White House senior adviser David Axelrod went on Fox News Wednesday to try and spin it?

In case you've forgotten, this is about two weeks after Axelrod told ABC's George Stephanopoulos, "[T]hey're not really a news station."

I guess that's changed now that the Republicans have come back to life (video of Major Garrett's unedited interview with Axelrod embedded below the fold, part of it was aired on Wednesday's "Special Report"):

As Andrew Malcolm of the Los Angeles Times put it Thursday (h/t Tweeter NYfitter):

Here's how desperate Obama administration spokesmen were Wednesday to fill the info void they'd created by hiding away during the previous night's bad news election returns:

David Axelrod, an ex-newspaper reporter but one of the lead Obama attackers against the Fox News Channel in recent weeks, actually granted an interview to the Fox News Channel. To Major Garrett.

Well, I guess the Administration NEEDS Fox again, huh?

I liked Fox News without

I liked Fox News without the dishonest clutter caused by appearances from members of the Obama Administration.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

Yeah, he is a sad one

I think of Axel as the Sad Sack--the other rods don't have nicknames at our house. That's right! He WAS on Fox--it didn't hit me. Yes, I do not really welcome bi-hourly visits by these people, either.

I have to agree.  I watch

I have to agree.  I watch fox so I don't have to watch those communists BS me and call me a teabagging racist homophobe astroturfing redneck right wing extremist on a daily basis.

Whoops

You left out "mind-numbed sychophantic Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/Glenn Beck disciple, closed-minded religious fanatic, birther, right-wing Nazi with a secret crush on Sarah Palin".

You'd have also earned bonus points for working in a reference to NASCAR

Chris... Ditto

Chris...

Ditto that.

Funny how all seem to cater to the other for their own reasons...when convenient, depending on who has the POWER.

...as if any of us can't see thru both venues....we're supposed to be dumb out here...they all depend on that...they depend on the go-along-get-along crowd for survival in the end.

Wow now I know who B-Daddy's bottom Biatch is, the former Presstitue Axlerod. LMAO

Hey Axle does just making stuff up and hoping no one will check it or even think about it much encompass your entire strategy for the next 3 years?

Well like the man said the reason he robs banks is that's where the money is, maybe Axle figures he should go on Fox becasue they actually have viewers.

'smatter, Axelrod, the

'smatter, Axelrod, the wheels falling off?

(Sorry, folks--couldn't resist.)

"Beauty is only skin deep, but liberal's to the bone." - me

Axelrod on Fox News...I wondered about that too...

What a bunch of hypocrites...Fox isn't a real news organization, UNLESS, your a$$ is in the fire and you need to get your message and your spin out there to try to put that fire out...

Geez.

negative

Fox should have said, "No thanks".
Sam: "I hurt somebody's feelings once"

After the treatment from the WH...

that's what I'd be tempted to tell them, but, Fox is a news organization, this is news, and I suppose they took the high road...

The bottom line is that this just makes very clear what pathetic hypocrites Obama and his goons are.

"The problem is not that people are taxed too little...the problem is that government spends too much." ~President Ronald Reagan

darn

I was rather enjoying the absence of Obama mouthpieces on Fox News. Between Obama's boycott and the talking gecko boycotting Glenn Beck, it's been a pleasant experience.

Why is it that everytime

Why is it that everytime I hear Axelrod speak I feel I need a bath?

Looks like the whiney President in the White House is back at blaming Bush saying that it is a lot harder undoing Bush's legacy than he thought as a reason for his own failures.

Gat...You betcha...

I often wonder if any of these WH advisors like Axelrod and Co., ever get tired of constantly having to run interference for and deflect blame away from their thin-skinned infantile president.

Don't Be Fooled

Don't be fooled people.  Someone in the White House finally woke up and realized that the Fox News Channel is comprised of virtually equal parts Democrats, Republicans and Independents.  They Democrats now realize that the Independents left them like the Jews left Jesus and are willing to do anything to woo them back before the 2010 election.

Dont be fooled!!!

Ann Coulter:

"Not only do conservatives not pick insane fights – such as staging a
2006 primary fight against a recent vice presidential candidate because
he supported the war in Iraq – but conservatives are more popular than
Republicans.

By contrast, liberals are less popular than Democrats. When
conservatives take control of the Republican Party, Republicans win.
When liberals take control of the Democratic Party, Democrats end up
out of power for eight to 12 years."

Axistube should stay on the Obamaganda channels

It's bad enough I have to see the "Rev." Al "Shakedown" Sharpton on FNC every time I turn it on, but now this goober, too?

Our elected representatives have failed us.

As embarrassing as this is

As embarrassing as this is to admit, I didn't know Axelrod was a former newspaper guy.  This explains quite a bit!  From high level talk of newspaper bailouts, to an utterly ill-conceived campaign of media control, to a declaration of war against an entire media outlet, it comes as no shock since it's a newspaper guy in a senior advisory position making these stupid calls.

These guys have run their industry into the ground, so it's little wonder they'll fail wherever they decide to infiltrate.

Debate

I'd like to see Axlerod and Rove in a formal debate about the topics of the day.

Well what did you expect

He needed to get his propaganda out so he has to go to those with and actual audience. I saw it, it was all lies.

These guys are like Bagdad Bob.

Noel,

thanks for pointing this out.  I didn't make the connection, but it all makes sense now.

These guys are like Bagdad Bob.

Insult

Shame on you for insulting Bagdad Bob.

Talk about losing the battle...they have no choice now.

With over 4 million viewers tuning into FOX on election night and only a little over 800,000 watching CNN they HAVE to go on Fox if they want to get their propaganda, uh spin, seen by more than a few people who already agree with them.

Throw 'da bums out!!!

Before it's too late.

Not happy at all.................

I may sound childish here, but I wouldn't have these lying douchebags on, they CALLED the network out and now they understand the need to go on there to get the independents and moderates back and and Fox is letting them?

Bleep them I say, Fox get's NOTHING out of this as the rest of the cabal is still going to say they are unfair and unbalanced when the facts show otherwise.

The pussy in chief picked the fight, let them look like the a-holes.

A great man once said, YOU only get out of life what YOU put into it, he obviously wasn't a liberal.

Axelrod on Fox---

Much as I would truly enjoy seeing the entertaining aftermath of Fox News telling the posprez and his cohorts to go pound sand;

the more TV news watching people that get exposed to this administrations bullsh*t, the better.

Excellent point!

Axel was on FoxNews while

Axel was on FoxNews while Obama stared lovingly at the TV, watching the HBO special of himself. Which he approved.

Don't tell me that really didn't happen. Because even if it didn't, it's what he believes and it's fake but accurate.

Yeah, those elections

Yeah, those elections results were SO BAD, that the following is happening:

Pelousy has set a date for the obamacare vote in House.

Senate dimocrats have pushed crap and tax through an important committee without any Republicans whatsoever.

Yeah, those dimocrats have really been set back on their heels.

Meanwhile, write and thank Boener - senate leader, Ginrich - former Speaker of the House, and Steele - RNC Chairman for endorsing and campagning for Dede Whatmacallit, NY-23.  A "Republican" candidate that was not only more liberal than her dimocrat opponent, but actually attempted to assist him in his campaign once she dropped out of the race.

Yeah, those dimocrats are running scared - you just keep thinking that NB and NBers . . .

BOO!

Looks like someone missed

Looks like someone missed the point.

Nah, the point on his head

Nah, the point on his head is still there.

Nothing but

Nothing but spin......

The entire Fox news war was nothing but a distraction that possibly got a little out of hand as cover for Health care and Crap and Tax. H1N1? another distraction under which "National Emergency " rules were imposed...mark my words, H1N1 will be used to help push Pelosi care after showing how private industry cant handle the "emergency".

The assumption with FOX news was that they could use it as a dust up just like Limbaugh, Palin and Beck with no real backlash. Unfortunatly for amatuer hour in the white house, they did not realize they were poking not only the number one news network on the air but an established member of the white house press pool (ie helps share the costs).

Government health care management of vaccines

When I was young, vaccines were made by many pharmaceuticals.  However, the huge awards for autism, the other suits, wound up that most of them dropped out of the market.  Thus, the trial lawyers made much of the vaccine problem.  It was added to by the government not being able to judge the proposals from and award to the competent; the latest from the Obama "competition" model is that they will open the price, then decide if they like the lowest bidder.  If government runs the production of meds, vaccines, etc, then we will continue to get the same problems.

Go ahead and have these shills on

Just make damn sure to ask them the tough questions. Don't be like the caving reporter from the "V" 1st show.

Go to Hulu and watch about halfway through  when he is on the mothership right before the inteview with "the leader" is going to start.

Dead meat

They avoid Fox News because Fox News will not let them keep repeating their talking points.

I remember when John Kerry was being interviewed by Cavuto.

Kerry was rattling on and on about how the Bush tax cuts were only for the rich. Cavuto asked him what he was going to do with his tax savings. Kerry sputtered and muttered for about a minute before he said that he had not decided. As for as I can remember it was the last time he appeared on Fox before the election.
