Unless the other news media starts to question the white house (typed intentionally with lower case, current occupants don't deserve otherwise), this is proof that the people in it aren't going to try to hide who they are anymore as they have been doing in the last 10 months with occasional slipups like van jones and others, plus un-scripted comments by Obeyme.

This should start making those people who aren't as well informed as we are madder than hell.

The WH seems to think this is working.  They're all feeling a little cocky now, Gibbs, Axlerod, Emmanuel, et. al., so it's hard for them to step back and see the error of their ways.  Of course the MSM isn't helping too much; they're kind of amused by this, particularly the cable networks, since Fox kicks their butts day in and day out.  However, in time, the WH will outsmart itself and perhaps pick a fight w/an AP, a Reuters, ABC, or a CBS, and the news organizations will realize that this game that's being played is the 21st Century enemies list, in living color.  It's not hidden; it's not done in secret; it's done out in the open, right in your face, and they are daring them to push back.  Of course, the WH is also doing every thing they can to silence Fox; so they're going out of their way to play favorites w/the others.  But in time, something will give; something will happen where the MSM will realize they've been played.  So the only question remaining is when and for what reason will they wake up.  Only time will tell. 

 One more thing, people can criticize George Bush for any number of things over his eight years; some deserved, some not deserved.  But, in those eight years, regardless of what was on the front pages, I don't recall his ever refusing to be interviewed by the major networks.  He took his lumps for sure, but he never hid in his office.  The WH did take issue w/NBC concerning some of their coverage, but that's to be expected, and the WH dealt w/NBC on that directly.  There's something very thinned skin about this WH, and it's only too apparent.

Look @ that chicks reaction, sitting behind Jake! She looks absolutely astonished that anyone would dare question them about this! Why don't these dumbasses realize that if they don't stand up and say something, they could be next!

Well gee. Seems to me that numerous media studies, including the likes of UCLA, the  Harvard School of Journalism, as well as numerous national polls, have generally found Fox to indeed be close to the center or the most balanced of the lot. Therefore, it would appear that Fox is more of a news station than the competetion.

Here was one interesting excerpt from the UCLA study:

"If viewers spent an equal amount of time watching Fox's 'Special Report' as ABC's 'World News' and NBC's 'Nightly News,' then they would receive a nearly perfectly balanced version of the news," said Milyo, an associate professor of economics and public affairs at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

On the other hand, if viewers spent any time listening to Gibbs - they'd be completely out in la la land.(;~/ gary

From Jake's vantage point he is beginning to see the light or at least point out the hypocrisy.

Some here have raised the idea of Jake Tapper perhaps moving over to Fox. That would be a big mistake, both for Tapper and for the Conservative movement. Jake's a much bigger thorn in the WH's side staying right where he is.

If all the honest, fearless journalists were stacked over on one network, it would be much easier to isolate and marginalize them. By staying at ABC, he maintains MSM credibility and he can go places where FoxNews reporters just can't now because they're being shut out, like lepers with a deadly pox. The Fox Pox.

Well, one of two things are going to happen to Tapper.  Either he is going to go over and work at the "not a news organization."  Or, he will never be called on again at a WH press conference.  In any event, his once upon a time numerous invitations to cocktail parties around D.C. will dry up to nil. 

By the way, one of the posters here thought that this may backfire on the WH since the WH could one day do this to one of the socialist propagandists aka ABC, cBS, NBC, PMSNBC, CNN. etc.  That is wrong.  With plummeting ratings/revenue and the only saving grace a WH bailout, the socialists will play along, as if that was not a foregone conclusion, or forego needed funds to keep them afloat.  In any event, objective journalism on their part has long ago faded into smooching every liberal politicans "fourth point of contact." 

This has all been done before, and I mean in this country.  Early in the last century the democrats own Woodrow Wilson had magazine offices and the editors of them that didn't agree with his policies literally smashed with clubs to get them in line.  He had protesters arrested with no charges other then he didn't like what they were protesting. He had truth squad goons beating the hell out of his detractors.

This has all been done before, and it appears to be starting again.  It always starts out small with these Fascist.  Pathetic really.  And I always thought the Uncle Sam poster was supposed to be patriotic when in fact is was just another fascist poster.  We'll see more in the future.  Bet on it.

Can Jake Tapper be the next Edward R. Murrow?  What Obama's thugs are doing is at least as bad as what McCarthy did.  McCarthy was a demagogue but at least he was factually correct and his goal was to protect america.  Obama's thugs are factually wrong and their goal is destroy anyone who criticizes them.

All journalists should ask themselves "Am I next?". Is it appropriate for the White House to declare a cable news channel "not a news organization"? Could they declare the Wall Street Journal "not a newspaper"? Would it be appropriate for them to declar Bill Maher a "journalist" and give him a seat at the WH briefings? Maybe displacing Major Garret from FNC?

I'm starting to see many parallels with the end of the Weimar Republic of Germany in the 1930's and it is scaring the HELL out of me.
