In today's "When Are You Going to Realize the Democrats Control Congress?" moment, CNN's Jack Cafferty attacked Tom DeLay Tuesday in a segment that had absolutely nothing to do with the former House Majority Leader.

In fact, his piece during the 4PM installment of the "Situation Room" dealt with whether it was more important for a president to be liked or feared outside the country.

Unfortunately, Cafferty -- whose hatred for Republicans seems to always bubble over regardless of the topic -- felt it was necessary to first bring up DeLay's recent appearance on "Dancing With The Stars" (video embedded below the fold with transcript):

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

WOLF BLITZER: Let's go to Jack Cafferty for "The Cafferty File" -- Jack.

JACK CAFFERTY: Did you show that Tom DeLay video yet?

BLITZER: We will. We will be showing it.

CAFFERTY: That's just disturbing.

BLITZER: If you haven't seen it...

CAFFERTY: I -- it's disturbing. It's very disturbing.

BLITZER: It takes guts to do that.

CAFFERTY: It takes something. I'm not sure guts is what it takes.

(LAUGHTER)

BLITZER: Wow. You make my heart...

CAFFERTY: When he goes to prison, they can show that, like, the dances and stuff, to the general inmate population.

But Cafferty wasn't done, for after he finished reading e-mail messages from viewers concerning the actual topic -- if you've forgotten, it was whether it's better for a president to be liked or feared overseas -- the hater of all things with an "R" next to their names attacked again:

CAFFERTY: If you didn't see your e-mail here, you can go to my blog at CNN.com/caffertyfile.

When are you playing that Tom DeLay thing?

BLITZER: Soon.

CAFFERTY: I'm turning the TV off. It's very disturbing.

Actually, what's most disturbing is that CNN keeps this guy around, and why likely many TV sets throughout the country get turned off whenever Blitzer foolishly puts him on screen.

DeLay should go to prison for doing this video.

BWAHAHAHAHAAA

Yeah, I agree. If you or I

Yeah, I agree. If you or I had done it would be one thing, but a major political figure like he was is another.

“There are no easy answers' but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.” - Ronald Reagan (1964 Republican Convention)

Yep!

Creepy, televangelist-smiled scumbag politician dancing on network tv. What's not to like?

Blitzer and Cafferty...

That's OK. Keep them around. More TVs turning off when CNN comes on. Good.

Most people give Tom Delay

Most people give Tom Delay credit for having the nerve to do that!

Although he wasn't all that good, he was better than Tucker Carlson was in his turn.  And he genuinely looked like he was having fun.

Just goes to show you that conservatives are not afraid to laugh at themselves or to look a little foolish having fun.

Jack Cafferty looks foolish on a regular basis without even trying, and like all good liberals, fun is the farthest thing from his mind...well, after common sense and decency, that is.

mb... You saved me

mb...

You saved me time...I share your sentiments regarding all of this.

Why not send Chris Dodd to prison

Why not send Chris Dodd to prison for all his bribery and Charlie Rangel too. Hey, while we are at it Bareny Frank, Nancy Pelosi, and Steny Hoyer. Then they can dance with the inmates.

Prison isn't for Democrat thieves.

Prison is for bad dancers.

Barney F****T

If you send Barney, he can have a harem of boy friends! He'd enjoy it too much!

Al

Not sure how popular Barney boy would be with the inmates.  He's old, ugly, and fat.  and he looks a lot more like a catcher than a pitcher, IMHO.

On second thought; he'd make a great wide receiver!

Neither....and both

....whether it was more important for a president to be liked or feared outside the country.

Unfortunately for us, Obama fulfills both requirements, but in the wrong way.

Our allies fear him, and our enemies like the guy.

Clueless Obama, Foreign Policy Fool.  He's worse than Carter, truly.

I hope he fails, too.

Maybe DeLay can get the same attorney Cafferty got...

Maybe DeLay can get the same attorney Cafferty got when Cafferty got drunk, jumped behind the wheel of his Caddie, and ran over a cyclist in mid-town Manhattan...and kept on going...through two red lights...while witnesses ran after him (fortunately getting his license plate number).

Cafferty got off.  Maybe DeLay can too.

Would love to see Cafferty's head explode if Blitzer or a guest actually through that little factoid into Jack the Alcoholic's face on live tv.

Was that one of the nights he went bar-hopping with Rick Dirty Sanchez?

CNN does love its resident drunks, I suppose.

Perhaps working at CNN is part of the probation deal they worked out with the judge?

LOL!

And Jackie had the chutzpah to make fun of Rush when he had his problem with painkillers?

This guy makes me laugh almost as much Dipstick Shuster at MSNBC.

Why are people like

Why are people like Cafferty so bitter?  Can't they just take their election victory and move on?

I think this is really a symptom of an underlying mental problem.  Seriously.  This isn't normal.

"Reason and persuasion are the only practical instruments against error.  To make way for these, free inquiry must be indulged" - Thomas Jefferson

Let me see, he wants Rush,

Let me see, he wants Rush, Rove, Delay, Liddy, Cheney, Beck, McCain, Palin and Bush in orange doing the perp walk.

Yes, I think "mental problems" is very probable.

Why is he bitter?  Have you seen that body and face and his contract is up with CNN?  Come on.

Happiness

Happiness polls consistently put conservatives happier than liberals. Liberals are constantly harping about the negative, conservatives (more likely to be Christian and therefore more thankful) are out trying to make the best of things.

Liberals are naturally bitter - that's why they constantly engage in class warfare. You HAD to have "unfairly exploited" somebody to get rich, because pessimistic people aren't going to be able to run a successful business.

When I pointed out to a liberal that Che Guevara was a butcher, the liberal replied that at least he was trying to affect "change." (and hope?) Yup, liberals are also Machiavelian - "at least they were TRYING!"

MSM - shaping all the perceptions you need to believe, then confirming it with a poll.

did Cafferty mention Lil' Kim?

she is the convicted felon who was on the show. Oh, there was some shooting and Lil' Kim lied to a jury to protect the thug... the usual thing.

But she's black, and not being one of the privileged white oppressors, I'm sure Cafferty had no rancor toward her. In fact, in the end, I seriously think that Lil' Kim resents white men a lot less than Cafferty does.

Goin'...

all Machiavelli on us eh Jack?

If you’d actually read the 13th century thinkers work you would know his pondering considered a leaders relationship to his subjects and believed any unfriendly nation had best experience fear.

Not quite as impressive as Barney Frank competing in Dressage astride the head of a unicorn.

or Barney telling Jay Leno

or Barney telling Jay Leno about skinny dipping with his boyfriend NUDE at a Palm Springs swimming pool.

INFORMAITON OVERLOAD!

It's amazing that CNN's

It's amazing that CNN's handlers were able to drag the rotting corpse of Hack Cafferty (breath no doubt stinking of Old Crow) into the studio to produce this piece of s***...unless they let the human distillery drive in to work on his own.  Knowing how reckless and irresponsible CNN is in its reporting, it wouldn't be too surprising that they're equally reckless and irresponsible in monitoring the behavior of their "talent" including Jack "Drunken Hit-and-Run" Cafferty, Rick "Drunken Vehicular Manslaughter" Sanchez and Richard "Ropes" Quest.

Meanwhile, a thoroughly corrupt, slimy, extortionist shyster named Ronnie Earle is stealing our money in a cynical, highly personal witch hunt against Tom Delay. No doubt this "Dancing With the Stars" gig is designed to help Delay pay some of the exhorbitant legal fees he has had to run up in order to defend himself against frivolous charges.

Does CNN's Flounder know

Does CNN's Flounder know that in the US, citizens are only imprisoned after receiving a due process trial by jury and are found guilty of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

In Flounder's world whoever he doesn't like, Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, any republican, any christian goes to jail simply because Flounder believes they belong there.

What a wonderful simple system. But what if I think Flounder should go to jail?  Am I not equal to Flounder?
