• Since she needed to ask for the interviews, that proves that she doesn't have any proof of what the protesters think. But ... 
• She simply assumes that all of the protesters are racist morons.
• She has prejudged them. She's a bigot.

In the act of accusing others, she proves her own prejudice. And therefore, she also proves who the true moron is.

And don't forget, Maxine wanted to know if the Mars Rover could bring back the flag that Neil Armstrong planted there!

Maybe the thing to do is to make "teabagger" the new N word.  If that could be done, in the future anytime someone uses the T word they would be immediately confronted with the same kind of retaliation that using the N word gets.  They would be told to apologize immediately and then forced out of their jobs and never forgiven.

It beats the heck out of letting people get away with being verbally abusive.

There were plenty of REAL conservatives griping about Bush's spending (and border policy, and other domestic issues).  But that doesn't fit with your little "tea baggers are party hacks" meme, so you conveniently forget it.  Slime.

In case you didn't notice, Republicans lost congress in 2006, and lost more seats in 2008, and they lost the presidency, partly because Republican voters were fed up with Republican politicians behaving like Democrats when it came to spending.

And now it has gotten even worse, as Obama spends more than anyone in the history of the world in his first 6 months, not to mention his unprecendented attack on the American way of life....and he's not done yet.

But, I guess, according to you, there should never be a breaking point. If you didn't protest Bush's budget deficit that averaged 2% of GDP, you shouldn't protest Obama's budget deficit that ballooned to 11% of GDP in his first 6 months. If you didn't protest Bush's attempt to spread freedom through the world, you shouldn't protest Obama's attempt to limit freedom in America.

Same way I feel about this post.  No matter what I'd write, this escapee from HuffPo wouldn't be satisfied.  So why bother?

What was my first clue?  The way he casually uses the term "teabagger," in his first sentence above, which has become somewhat of an insult to conservatives.  If he REALLY was one of "us" whether he totally agrees with what is happening in the conservative movement today or not, he wouldn't use that term any more than he would use "n*****" to describe Halfrican-Americans.

Bush got hammered by the right over the Medicare prescription drug bill, over signing nearly every spending bill sent to his desk, over McCain-Feingold campaign censorship, and other liberal outrages.

Health care insurance is already one of the most highly-regulated industries in our country, regulated at the state level. How anyone could think that if another level of government steps in with another layer of regulation, that might lead to cheaper insurance, is beyond me. They want no pre-existing conditions, which means we all will pay more for our insurance to make up for those that have those conditions. They will add an inevitable layer of mandates which will make all states' insurance as expensive as Massachusetts.

Congress is determined to give us health insurance with more benefits, and that alone cannot mean cheaper.

I have never heard the term "Halfrican Americans." Have you seen that term used here, shawn? (And I hope it's not in the body of this post- I'm not sure I read it. I'm simply responding to your comment.)

I just read on Michelle Malkin's site that ACORN had a gala in NYC for it's 39th anniversary. One of the honored guest was Maxine Waters. No suprise there as she has been affliated with them for years. The real eyeopener was the top-billed guest:

Well, that was just really nice. It was refreshing to read something so nice -- with all the poison so many are spewing lately (i.e., Carter).

I'd say that in reading your post, what you have here is far beyond race (as I feel it should be in life). What you have here is just a bunch of really decent folks -- yourself included. And it shows what happens when you focus on the most important aspects in life...goodness has a way of shining through -- goodness in your humbleness and feelings of being so happy for the success of others, and goodness in those who may have a little more education not being the least bit full of themselves -- but kind and supportive. Sorry if this sounds sappy, but I appreciated this post.

Nice, uplifting post.  You don't appear to have a racist bone in your body.

I attended schools in a small town in the South, which over a decade after Brown v. Board of Education, did not have a single black student.  "They" had their own run-down facility on the other side of the track, i.e. in "ni**er town".  They were not permitted to step foot inside a "white" restaurant unless it was the kitchen.  They could only gain entrance to the movie theatre through a side door and sit in the balcony, which was so far from the screen binoculars were almost a necessity.  They dared not be caught drinking water from a "white" fountain, nor even consider admittance to the nice public swimming pool.  There was a white, openly racist, highway patrolman who made sure they stayed in their place.  When a black lady walking on the side of the road leading outside of town was hit and killed by a white driver, I was later told he "confessed" to Sgt. Smith [not his real name] who told him "Don't worry about it, she was just an old "ni**er woman."

Thank God, much has changed since those days in the 60's.  But, regrettably, there are still some--both whites and blacks--who still view our society through the sterotypical lens from that era.
