Well, on Sunday night, rapper Kanye West made a fool of himself again, this time storming the stage at MTV's Video Music Awards and interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for winning this year's Best Female Video.
In front of a stunned crowd, West said singer Beyoncé was more deserving of the award.
As reported by Rolling Stone (video embedded below the fold):
Just moments after Swift accepted the Moonman and began her acceptance speech, Kanye West stormed the stage, taking the microphone from Swift to announce Beyoncé deserved the award.
"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!," Kanye shouted to a mortified Swift and the speechless audience. And as quickly as he ran onstage - MTV cut away to show Pink, and when they flashed back to Swift, West already had the mic in his hand - he was off, leaving a shocked Swift in his wake.
Just imagine that almost exactly four years ago, Bush-hating media members were actually praising this man.

In the end West plays like two songs then stops his set.

Some time back, rap was quite a creative genre. Now it is just filled with extremely ephemeral acts that have dispensed with the whole notion of creativity. There is some good stuff in the realm of rap/hip hop, but you have to sift insanely to find it.
