Gibbs: "Did something happen over the weekend? I was out of town, no...Im not aware of that group (shrugs) I'll ask around but....ok, next?"

Yeah, but....

if he actually says that, it will only prove how stupid and out of touch this monarchy is.

Don't Tax Me, Bro'

Obama:

 "Don't tax me, Bro'"

Don't tax me,

Don't tax me, Bro!

Now THAT is a great poster. Seriously. Unbeatable in four words.

The way to honor the 3000 people hideously murdered by Islamo-Nazis on 9/11 is to ... PAINT A WALL, so orders President Obama, Whitewasher-in-Chief.

Is this the best protest

Is this the best protest sign yet this year?

No. Nice sentiment but it's way too long and convoluted.

Great POSTERS should be ten words or fewer if possible. Edit edit edit. Cut cut cut.

Agreed...

My first thought when I saw this poster was, wow, it's so long...Great message, but too long.

  Quincy, Illinois!  Why

Quincy, Illinois!  Why that's some of my not too distant neighbors.  And just down the ole Missisip from there a very famous resident from Hannibal, Missouri by the name of Mark Twain once quipped....

That's the difference between governments and individuals. Governments don't care, individuals do.

MidAmerica

One of my favorite Mark Twain quotes is:

Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.

The man was a genius...

"Reason and persuasion are the only practical instruments against error.  To make way for these, free inquiry must be indulged" - Thomas Jefferson

   The meglomaniac rulers,

The meglomaniac rulers, especially those like Stalin, Mao, Fidel and obama have always had trouble converting the rural peasants to accepting their authority.  We, who bitterly cling to our guns and religion, (we are independent and self reliant) are always the hardest to convince that some government bureacrat can make better decisions for us than we can ourselves.

We're harder to convince

We're harder to convince because we know better than that.

"Reason and persuasion are the only practical instruments against error.  To make way for these, free inquiry must be indulged" - Thomas Jefferson

Amen to that!

MidAmerica, you hit the nail on the head!

Good folks there.  The park where the Tea Party was held is the site of one of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates.  Also, Bill Clinton spoke near there though he's much less significant.  :)

LOL-Anybody wanna guess which was my favorite sign?

-Dave

I agree with Rush. It's time for Obama to resign.

Gosh, Dave

There were so many fabulous signs...I dunno.

I think mine was George Washington...WTF?  Or maybe Throw Mama Under the Bus.

Greetings from CR....Independence Day is Tuesday....which should be alot of fun to see.  We've met so many wonderful people here, and made a couple of good friends too.

Oh yeah, I've located NB Southern Command.  Ya'll be pleased to know we can have beach barbeques every day of the week.  Pura Vida!

I hope he fails, too.

J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice of you to drop in.  :-)

LOL-Yeah, the George Washington sign was excellent, and the one right underneath it was really good, too, as it expressed my sentiments to a "T."

Glad you all are having such a great time down in CR. Hope you got some great pics.

BTW-You gotta hurry up and get back, 'cause the Saturday Sports OTs just aren't the same without you being around.

I agree with Rush. It's time for Obama to resign.

blonde -- what's on TV in CR?

Liberal nutjobs shouting 'racist conspiracy' to anyone criticising Barack Obama are all crazed... RACERS

Hola Sr. Bauer

Truly.  I'm working on my spanish, which helps, as the most prevalent item on the tube here is, naturally, futbol.  Costa Rica lost to Mexico last week in the World Cup, it was a huge disaster and a national tragedy.

Actually, where I am staying right now, there are NO TV's in the rooms, a delightful turn of events.  We can catch the US Open in the bar.  Depending on the satellite options, I've seen ESPN, CNN International, AXN (oh man, CSI and all kinds of FX type shows)....the odd thing is, anything in English is subtitled in Spanish, and I find myself reading the spanish rather than listening.

Oh and a couple of fine Costa Rica facts.  Tuesday is Independence Day....so this is a holiday weekend.  You can never go wrong here ordering arroz con pollo (chicken and rice)...the food is not as spicy as Mexican, but it is delicioso!  The people are amazingly friendly.  I've never seen more beautiful countryside in my life.  There are 27 distinct ecosystems here, you can go from rain forest to tropical desert in a matter of an hour.  It took us 8 hours to drive from the SE corner (Manzanillo near Panama) to the NW corner on the Nicoya peninsula.  The roads are FINE, navigating is okay once you get the hang of it (you have to go from town to town, street signs are non-existent, as are highway markers).  Iguanas are everywhere, the squirrels are huge and stupid.

The national slogan is Pura Vida, and it is, truly.  Pineapples are 3/$1.75.  I've become addicted to papaya, watermelon, mango and pineapple for breakfast.  It's the standard breakfast meal, along with eggs and black beans and rice.  Everyone loses weight here....my mom was here for eight days and lost 12 pounds!  No fried stuff, I suppose.

I'll be home later this week.  Waiting for the sun to come back out (it's the rainy season here, but not even as rainy as Florida is right now) so I can continue to work on my tan.

Miss you guys!

I hope he fails, too.

Blonde, Hello, we miss

Blonde,

Hello, we miss you too! Are you coming back or is CR your home now?

What's weird is when the Libtards say, "I want my country back!"

What, did they get conservative and long for the "good ol' days" all of a sudden?  Did they ever actually control this country?  Was America once a flourishing bastion of Libtardism and I missed it?

I think that sign is pretty cool. One I saw I liked also was

Its not a race issue

It not a party issue

It is a American issue

I think I got that right. That looked cool to me.

What's really funny is that...

What's really funny about this picture is that the little girl holding the sign probably doesn't have any medical insurance.

WIlshire rally..

Missed it by one number. I set the gps for 1100 Wishire it was at 11000 wilshire. BIG difference. Do I get an E for effort? Surface streets were a bear not good to be on the back end of the Firemens memorial at Dodgers stadium. By the time I got back to the right freeway it was too late. I was very dissapointed that none of the am stations carried any info. I had expected KFI to at least mention the rally.
