"[Pat] Buchanan is a bonafide anti-Semite. He, as a member of Opus Dei, he would like to see every Jew hanged..."
So said liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy within days of calling for Fox News's Glenn Beck to commit suicide.
What follows is a YouTubed audio of these appalling comments along with a transcript (readers are encouraged to hang in long enough to hear Buchanan equate Al Gore to birthers!):
Chris Matthews continues to give air time to a real crazy person, a fellow Catholic. Only I don't think Chris Matthews is Opus Dei like Pat Buchanan is. Buchanan is a bonafide anti-Semite. He, as a member of Opus Dei, he would like to see every Jew hanged and figures they eventually will be when his lord and savior returns to earth and offers the Jews a choice: either accept me as your savior or die. And Pat's hoping for the die part because he really is crazy.
Ah the tolerant left.

August 7, 2009 - 09:28 ET by Joe BlogsWhat a thing to say about a fellow Irishman -- and an especially patriotic and brilliant one at that. There is something very low down about Mike Malloy, whom, incidently, I've never heard of. Although a small minority, the 20% of Jews who are Republicans would certainly disagree.
He might not be Irish . . .

I think Malloy said some really dumb things, probably out of anger or to get attention. Either way, not very sound judgment.
Just wanted it known that Beck is nuts, too.
Really? Beck is nuts
August 7, 2009 - 11:22 ET by mattmReally? Beck is nuts because he supposedly played out some kind of a scene....? What was the context? I looked it up and could only find a reference to something that was allegorical - to illustrate a point.
That's a far cry from advocating the poisoning of someone, or from making outrageous and unsubstantiated claims, like the one Malloy made. Your comparison is way off base.
heh
August 7, 2009 - 11:38 ET by katainkentI found it. Its somewhat bizarre and unfunny. He's chatting with someone who has a Pelosi cutout for a head and they both have a glass of wine. Beck is surprised he's been invited to the Pelosi vineyard and says "By the way I put poison in your - No, I... ." (about 0:58 mark of a 1:13 clip)
I listen to Beck for about 5-6 min a day on my drive home. Some days he's spot on and some days he's a bit out there. But that's where discernment and research come in to play. But no, I don't think Beck is even in the ballpark with this guy.

apples to what?
August 7, 2009 - 14:12 ET by katainkentYou're stretching this to fit where it simply doesn't belong. Like I said - not even in the same ballpark.
Completely off topic - The anger from the public that's been seen across the country is not because of Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh - its because we, the people are being force fed bill after bill after bill at a break neck pace and our OWN Representatives are clueless as to half of what they are signing. We are very understandably freaked out. We have questions that can't be answered because our reps simply don't know because they haven't read the bill. All they have is their little pad of talking points and clever slogans. They, who work for us, quelch debate because they have no answers. We have been painted as paid thugs, big-pharma / insurance terrorists and quite frankly told by our President that we are part of the problem and should just shut up and get out of the way.
Who could calmly accept this?
I think anyone who signed a bill without personally deciphering it should be voted OUT. Its not punishing them for having an ideal - its holding them accountable to doing their job.
The violence only started after the union enforcers were called on to combat the people protesting.

One, reference Mr. Malloy's comments on not just Mr. Buchanan but on Mr. Beck as well.
Two, Buchanan is a populist. He has demonstrated xenophobic tendencies and is horrified at the concept of free trade. He has also made no bones again and again on his isolationism.
Does this add to the discussion enough for you, danebramage?

Sorry Noel But Pat Buchanan IS an Anti Semite
August 7, 2009 - 11:44 ET by yidwithlidHere is some of the data from one of my many posts about Buchanan and his hatred of Jews.
Buchanan has challenged the historical record that thousands of Jews were gassed to death by diesel exhaust at Treblinka:
Pat Buchanan's website
espouses views that most Americans would find distasteful. Not only
does he blame AIPAC (his code word for Jews) for pushing America into
the Iraq war but he also blames Israel for 9/11:
Of course that statement is not different from previous statements which blamed American Jews for the Iraq war
In Buchanan’s essay, “Whose War”
where he blames the Iraq war on a bunch of mostly Jewish public figures
such as Bill Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, Max Boot and Richard Pearled.
Buchanan has charged those public figures with” colluding with Israel
to ignite those wars and destroy the Oslo Accords. We charge them with
deliberately damaging U.S. relations with every state in the Arab world
that defies Israel or supports the Palestinian people's right to a
homeland of their own” he goes on to say:
Israel
Lobby is the PC way of saying JEWS. In July 2006, during Israel's
conflict with Lebanon, he accused President Bush of "subcontracting
U.S. policy out to Tel Aviv, thus making Israel the custodian of our
reputation and interests in the Middle East." Further, he said that
when Bush was asked if he would urge Israel to restrain air strikes, he
"sounded less like the leader of the Free World than some bellicose
city councilman from Brooklyn Heights." (TheAmericanCause Where are the Christians, by Patrick J. Buchanan, Tuesday, July 18, 2006)
Sean, you dont want to believe me then believe the William F Buckley Jr. In Search of Anti-Semitism" December 31, 1991, subsequently made the cornerstone of a book, William F. Buckley, Jr. concluded, that Buchanan was indeed an anti-Semite:
Please don't tell me he is only Anti-Israel...Buchanan doesn't perceive a difference between Israel and the Jews:
MSNBC Has much
to be ashamed of, not the least of which is their Hypocrisy. Don Imus
got fired for making a racial remark, yet their chief political
correspondent Pat Buchanan is a racist.
Back in 1991 he accused the former head of the KKK of theft.
In a memo to President Nixon, Buchanan suggested that
Shame On Human Events. A usually fine website, but on Holocaust Remembrance Day it published the usual anti-Jewish venomous column by Pat Buchanan which inferred that the Jews living in the Middle East have no right to defend itself:
USED?
Buchanan thinks that Olmert woke up in the morning and said Gee, I hope
Hezbollah attacks so I can Start a war? What about the all of the
rocket attacks and other Hezbollah terror that immediately preceded the
2006 war? How about the fact that Israel left Lebanon SIX YEARS
EARLIER. And it wasn't until Israel left that Hezbollah gained power.
But of course that would ruin Buchanan's main argument the Jews are war
mongers:
As opposed to the
Iranian weapons that were used to deliver death and destruction on
Israel. Oh I get it he is using the phony "disproportionate response"
argument. So you tell me Pat, how many Hamas rockets makes it OK for
Israel to respond? Was the A Bomb Dropping on Hiroshima
"disproportionate response?" How many Nazis was it OK to kill in WWII Sorry I forgot for Pat that one is close to home.
Buchanan forgets the fact that the reason for the
"choke hold" is to prevent more weapons of terror from getting into
Hamas hands.
Lets examine for a second what happened since 1982,
Terrorist appeasers Buchanan ruled the day, some appeased because of
the taste of Arab Oil, others like this columnist appeased because it
would mean more DEAD JEWS.
Really....
Rabin and Barak? Begin Gave Back the Sinai, Sharon left Gaza, NO PEACE
CAME. Maybe Buchanan's terrorist friends want a little more than "Land
for Peace"
Folks there above is the inhumanity of the article
allowed in Human Events. Not mentioned is the 7,600 rockets/mortars in
the three years since Sharon left Gaza. Human Events believes that
Israel should not defend herself. Human Events' Message to Jews on
Holocaust Remembrance Day is SIT BACK AND DIE.

August 7, 2009 - 13:37 ET by BeukeboomMalloy is a self-syndicated talk show host who is on only a handful of am radio stations mostly in California and mostly very low-powered so his listenership is quite limited. Possibly the bulk comes from satellite listeners. However the recent increase in the amount and vitriol of his over-the-top comments seems to indicate acts of desperation from a man who realizes his career is pretty much over so he desires to go out with bang and not a whimper.
However hardly anyone cares.
I may be wrong on the latter but I forsee the following as good possibilities:
1) some and perhaps even most of the low-powered AM stations carrying his program may drop him and/or are already in the process of dropping his show (I'm not going to guess about the satellite carrier since I don't know how that is set up);
and
2) Malloy may publically announce his "retirement" soon.
Time will tell. But is indicates the last gasp effort of a very desperate radio talk show host that hardly anyone knows.
