In today's "Can You Believe The Arrogance On Display" segment, the leaders of the G8 nations Wednesday vowed to -- get this! -- stop global temperatures from rising more than they believe is acceptable.
I'm not kidding.
As reported by Britain's Times:
For the first time, America and the other seven richest economies agreed to the goal of keeping the world’s average temperature from rising more than 2C (3.6F).
Imagine that. So our new president, and these other seven leaders, actually think they have the power to determine how much temperatures can rise from their current levels.
And, a global warming obsessed media likely won't question how absurd such a belief is given how much temperatures have fluctuated since the dawn of time.
Be afraid, world. Be very afraid.

Is the ideal temperature lower than it is now? Because the peoples above/below the 50-60 degree lattitude lines north and south might disagree.
Is the ideal temperature the exact temperature it is now? Because why the fuss if all is well?
Does anyone else find it odd that the G8 countries lie mostly in the temperate zones above the tropic of cancer and below 60 degrees latitude north. (with the exception of the tiny economy of Russia). They do not have the extremes of temperature present near the equator or poles. Who are they to dictate the ideal temperature to the rest of the planet. They are located in ideal temperate zones.

While there was no human intervention there, there is still a lesson to learn. The law of unintended consequences is a tricky one to deal with. Were they to decide to cap a volcano, the resulting devastation from pressure being otherwise released far outweighs the problem they sought to solve. I often feel that Democrats (the voters, not the politicians) have their hearts in the right place, but lack the common sense to see through to the unintended consequences of their actions. Ignoring the possible results and risks is pure stupidity.
Oddly enough, I'm reminded of how my father used to always tell me to measure twice and cut once (it admittedly took me alot of failed projects to actually adhere to it.) I'm not sure if this is very relevent, but it seems like the Democratic strategy is to start swinging with an axe, neglecting any measuring, and hope the result will fit its need.

until recently had the full explanation of nuclear fission and fusion.
What was the most common example given in the natural world? It was our

This means matter is (was) lost from our Sun every minute century after century for many eons.

LESS light-heat energy, therefore, LESS heat. Repeat, LESS heat.
Most all texts went on to theorize that someday, maybe in 10,000 years
or so, the sun would not have the matter left to produce enough
light-heat energy for humans to survive on Earth. Translation:

Now… is there anything in this decades old college science text explanation that has changed?
