The real inconvenient truth....

figuring out how to blame Bush.  These numbers are dreadful and it looks like the idiots on wall street are finally getting the message.   The pathetic "these numbers aren't as horrible as we thought they would be" attitude may be coming to an end.

Stuart Varney had some left wing guy on FNC yesterday asking about this.  The guy kept insisting the job of the president was to be positive.  Varney would argue that with the job losses the president has to do more than be positive, he has to explain why we continue to have job losses after the massive spending/stimulus bill.  The guy kept talking about "the leader has to be positive" and tried to talk about the deficit under Bush.  Varney would have none of it.  He said it's now Obama's deficit and how can the pres justify these numbers after the stimulus bill.  It was great.

As for these government-educated, so-called "economists" who are running around saying they see a recovery just around the corner, they should all be arrested and stiffly fined for gross professional malpractice.

Tarp, Porkulus, Crap & Tax, and ObamaCare, along with the financial trian-wreck that is Social InSecurity, MediCare, and the rest of the BS vote-buying entitlement programs out there, along with the confiscatory taxes we all know are coming, are going to put us in the economic toilet and keep us there.

Any seventh-grader attending a non-government school, and who paid any attention AT ALL to what Obama was actually saying during the campaign, could have told you 2.5 years ago that this was going to happen.

There will be no economic recovery to speak of until well after Obama has been driven from office, and his hideous, nation-killing policies are reversed in their entirety.

And I am not sure one will take place even then, as we may be too far gone by that time.

The jobless rate is going up. And if real numers were used to calculte it, it would be more like 12% to 15%. The national deficit and debt are on the rise. The cost of gas at the pump is on the rise. Food bills are going up. The prices on consumer goods are going up. Taxes are going up. Meanwhile, the money being spent by Congress to travel with their families is out of sight. What do Barry, et.al do about it?---advocate a new energy plan which will raise the cost of owning and selling a home. Revise "health care" so that the middle class will pay through the nose. Plan a new "stimulus" which will make lobbyists, lawyers, members of Congress, and sundry other thieves rich beyond their wildest dreams. And since we have seen no positve affects, can we dare ask the trillion-dollar question: "Where did the trillions of stimulus dollars go?"! Forget the ultimate socialist, communist, fascist state we will have after all is said and done, we have the most corrupt government in the history of this nation. With the tactics of a mafia "mob", liars and crooks are running our country with the aprobation of a  media which refuses to meet its Constitutional responsibility as a "free" press. Be afraid for yourself and your children, America. We are being pushed off a cliff into an abyss from which we'll be climbing for a hundred years or more.

 It is, of course, worse: if the chronically unemployed, those who have stopped trying to find work, were counted in the mix, the unemployment numbers would be at least twice the official figures.

 The media sees its job as boosting Obama, not reporting facts.

After giving away the farm here in NC Apple computer annouced they would build a data center employing 50, FIFTY, people. It is expected that Monday they will annouce the location to be Maiden, NC, the small town I grew up in.

Yesterday it was revealed that Fox's Fish Camp in Lincolnton, NC will close Friday putting 47 people out of work.

The 50 jobs are not here yet but I if they were they would be a net gain of 3 jobs in that area. (Maiden is about 6 miles from Lincolnton.)

I know that our goverrnor will make a big deal out of Apple's FIFTY jobs but never mention that Fox's closing is costing 47.

Yesterday, I searched and searched in the Los Angeles Times (print edition) for the much anticipated report on the "unexpected drop" in consumer confidence. Wa la, I found it.

Following a gloomy down day on Wall Street, two of the LAT's staff writers, Petruno and Hamilton, in a Business Section, B-1, piece under 'Markets' headlined, "HOPE GIVES STOCKS A LIFT," there it is. "Doubts about the economy were reinforced Tuesday, when the Conference Board said its consumer confidence index fell to 49.3 in June from 54.8 in May -- the first drop since February."

And if the Republicans were in power the jobless rate would be much, much higher if they let GM fail.
