Sorry, Assemblything Bass, 'revenue' is what is created in the private sector.  Governments can only get 'revenue' by confiscating it from the private sector.

What you experience as 'revenue' in Sacramento is inflicted on the private sector in the form of taxes, fees, and fines.  And the more you shrink the productive side of the economy with asinine tax increases, the less revenue you will actually receive.

Now some on the right were too quick to question the patriotism of those on the left just a few years ago and the left RAILED against it.  Rightfully so in some cases.

Of course now that the left is co-opting the language (as they do all too often) for use in the most insidious way, there will be no railing against it from their own camp.

Californistan, just fall into the ocean.  You're really not worth the federal dollars it's costing to keep you afloat.  Let you're Hollywood base foot the bills.  I really don't think the rest of the country gives a flying flip what happens to your state.

The whole point of electing representatives is the fact that you can vote them out if they annoy you. Looks like Ms. Bass would have sided with the British in saying shut up and pay the taxes.

Noel, Bass is answering a question about talk radio, but who she's talking about are the voters. Voters are the only people with the power to end a politician's career. This woman sees the American people themselves as terrorists who threaten the interests of government.

I hope talk radio picks this up and broadcasts it to every corner of our nation. Ms. Bass needs to be called out on her remark in a very loud and public manner.

Bottom line here. Blacks overwhelmingly voted for Obama, so many it makes one's head spin trying to reason it out. I heard for years how blacks are "conservative" by nature. Well, after this election and these types of folks, one can pretty much throw that out as pure fiction and fantasy. I'm surprised they're not rioting in LA right now because of the fact that Michael Jackson died.  Had to be a conspiracy of some kind.

Much of that city is recession proof because so many are on the dole so could care less about another 325,000 jobs lost in June...but if the entitlements dry up...hoo boy.

One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).

Well now this is pretty amazing.  She suggests that threatening to vote out one's representative is "terrorism."

But actually, it's not amazing in the slightest.  Because I know ordinary people who have actually voiced the same sentiment.

I don't know where these people missed the boat in understanding how a representative democracy works.  But they certainly are on a head start toward understanding why it is we should have kings instead of presidents, and will probably work to make that a reality.
