This could be a world record: a news outlet on Friday thoroughly bashed two prominent conservative women -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Miss California Carrie Prejean -- in only two minutes.
Two minutes.
In a new online program Yahoo launched in May as a daytime TV recap for women on the go, "Daytime In No Time" host Nikki Boyer disgracefully attacked Palin and Prejean (video embedded below the fold, h/t NBer Blazer):
Nice job, Nikki.

June 12, 2009 - 16:33 ET by BlazerGreat job Noel !I'd also like o add that Yahoo edited their version of the Palin inerview to make her appear hokey, rubish and on the defense. With that said, I've allready changed my homepage from Yahoo and will no longer use them for anything.

Changed to what?
June 13, 2009 - 19:42 ET by BlueCat57Google? Not any better. Life is so intertwined we can at best educate ourselves to detect the bias.
I too have complained repeated to Yahoo! to remain non-political. I've complained about their use of AP stories. I don't think Yahoo! is producing any of this content themself. I think you'd find they buying it from some liberal source.
There are finally some options for neutral/conservative news bias but they are hard to find. Sounds like a challenge for technically savvy conservative. Create an information portal that can be customized the way I want it to be.
Any suggestions?
Any investors? I think I've found a project for myself.

June 12, 2009 - 16:39 ET by MidAmericaI use Yahoo but have been disgusted many times by the editorial slant of their version of 'news'. I try not to look at the headlines so I don't get riled up. But this cute bubbly insulting of Palin and Prejean is nearly the last straw.

June 12, 2009 - 16:57 ET by allanfI just watched this Nikki Boyer. What an appalling twit. If this vapidness passes for cool, we are in danger of becoming a nation of troglodytes.
By the way, Lauer had his dander up. What a constrast to the loving soft lobs Obama gets.

Maybe he's at a meeting to discuss little boys and girls since he thinks it's okay to disparage them publicly, and make reference to them to make his point/insult.

The Origin of the term "Yahoo"
June 13, 2009 - 08:23 ET by beauxdogPart IV of Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift (1726)
A Voyage to the Country of the Houyhnhnms
September 7, 1710 – July 2, 1715
Despite his earlier intention of remaining at home, Gulliver returns to sea as a captain. On this voyage he is forced to find new additions to his crew who he believes to have turned the rest of the crew against him. His crew then mutiny and after keeping him contained for some time resolve to leave him on the first piece of land they come across and continue on as pirates. He is abandoned in a landing boat and comes first upon a race of (apparently) hideous deformed creatures to which he conceives a violent antipathy. Shortly thereafter he meets a horse and comes to understand that the horses (in their language Houyhnhnm or "the perfection of nature") are the rulers and the deformed creatures ("Yahoos") are human beings in their base form. Gulliver becomes a member of the horse's household, and comes to both admire and emulate the Houyhnhnms and their lifestyle, rejecting humans as merely Yahoos endowed with some semblance of reason which they only use to exacerbate and add to the vices Nature gave them. However, an Assembly of the Houyhnhnms rules that Gulliver, a Yahoo with some semblance of reason, is a danger to their civilization and he is expelled. He is then rescued, against his will, by a Portuguese ship, and is surprised to see that the captain, a Yahoo, is a wise, courteous and generous person. He returns to his home in England. However, he is unable to reconcile himself to living among Yahoos; he becomes a recluse, remaining in his house, largely avoiding his family and his wife, and spending several hours a day speaking with the horses in his stables.
