Specter, why don't you just follow it up your comment with more class by declaring that the many researchers who have spent their lives looking for cures and treatments are worthless idiots motivated solely by a bigger paycheck, not by the quest for knowledge and the desire to make life better for mankind.

Spector finally going to the dark side has only made the republican party stronger. This crazy idea of his saying the republican party is responsible for Kemp's death proves that he has more in common with the nutty Grafalo's of the world than with people that can actually think coherent thoughts.

Specter is only showing the world what we already knew about him -- He's totally useless as a representative of the human race. Perfect for the Dims.

How the GOP is able to bring down the WTC, take over the world, enslave minorities, put children in sweatshops, end abortion, supply every nursing home with dog food, destroy the environment, rig elections, wreck the economy, have people turned away at hospitals, arrest celebrities for dissenting, and now kill members of their own party.

Yet, we lose both houses of Congress and the White House.

Arlen Sphincter hasn't lost his mind; he just got the talking points placed on his desk as the first item of business.  Look for the likes of Meghan, like, McCain to follow suit.....if she can shut up about her dating life long enough.

Although I haven't searched all the articles re: Kemp's cancer, none of the ones I have read mention what type of cancer Kemp had. I think this is relevant because there are types of cancer that are easily cured if detected early enough. To consider that Kemp would have survived had more money been put into research, it would be necessary to know what type of cancer he had, at what stage it was diagnosed, and whether an earlier diagnosis would have saved him. And in the article, Specter himself states that current research saved/prolonged his own life. It's sad that Specter decided to use a colleauge's death to justify his defection from the Republican party and advance the liberal agenda regarding health care.

Here's another potential cave-in for Obama. Europeans are upset that the US Dept of Commerce controls Internet domain addresses.

Why? Because American politicians in the past have stopped .xxx from becoming a domain name for pornography. Well, whaddaya know -- applying some decency in the world.

But, Europeans don't like decency; and they don't like the US. So they want to open up the internet to real ugliness now.

But don't stop there. How about .gay? Or .les? Or even .ter for terrorists? And all our leftist friends can weigh in and ask their stupid question: "But where's the harm -- this is just individual freedome, doesn't hurt anyone". Dopes!

Leftie blogs going bananas on Specter. Remember last week, the story on other democratics going to Dingy Harry and saying -'you promised him what?'. All this will make it easier for the democratics to turn on Specter at primary time and support another democratic. I predict he will see the writing on the wall in early 2010 and announce an ignominious retirement.

The Left, and Mr. Specter, don't even have the common decency to allow for Jack Kemp to pass through rigor mortis before dumping all over him.  Mighty sick if you ask me.

Arlen Spectre is mentally ill.  But then again so is 99% of the leadership of the democratic party...

Arlen you will be gone after 2010 if you live that long.

The obvious question is why didn't you bolt the party long ago, say when Republicans were in the majority if you felt that way?

Arlen has handed his Republican opponent a big gift with that quote.  It may cost him the election in 2010.

I never thought I'd see the day. But the next step is to remove the regulation. New Hampshire, for instance, does not require gun licenses. But, here's the discenting vote from the uber-liver viewpoint -- and I'll make a note, by a female justice, which seems to be more and more prevalent these days:

“When a handgun or automatic weapon is involved, the purpose of the firearm is to injure or kill; there is no other reason for that weapon's existence," Cowin wrote. "We have recognized in various contexts that firearms are, by nature and design, dangerous instrumentalities."

The majority opinion, Cowin wrote, “reduced to its minimum, that is simply a reiteration of the tired slogan that 'guns don't kill people, people do.' We know this to be a dangerous oversimplification. The fact is that people kill people with guns, and in a substantial number of cases those guns are unlicensed.’’
