Anti-war Article Highlights T-shirt With Bush's Brain Spilling Out

Despite being in so much financial trouble it could be facing extinction, the San Francisco Chronicle continues to be one of the most disgraceful newspapers in the country.

In a piece dealing with Saturday's anti-war protest held in the City by the Bay, the authors disgustingly felt the need to share with their readers a truly offensive t-shirt that was for sale at the event (file photo):

Bruce Yurgil, a cartoonist from San Rafael, was trying to unload 80 homemade T-shirts showing former President George W. Bush's brain spilling from his head. The T-shirts were marked down half-price, to $10.

Somewhat ironic given the Chronicle's inability to sell advertising space, wouldn't you agree? After all, even the salesman in question understood how difficult it now is to sell Bush Derangement Syndrome:

"It's no fun being a cartoonist these days," he said. "The only person I can make fun of any more is Rush Limbaugh."

Maybe the Chronicle should learn from this cartoonist...but don't count on it.

He would have shown a

He would have shown a T-shirt with Obamas brains spilling out...and I am sure that whenever he figures out how to draw air, he will. Notice how I self edited, I could have used another substance for Obama's brains, which I think would have been more appropriate. But for once, I did use retraint.

Looks like the Chronicle

Looks like the Chronicle will go down with it's war boots on.  Oh wait, did I say "war" boots? I'm sorry, I meant environmentally correct Birkenstocks. Wait a minute, Birkenstocks use animal leather, what I really meantto say was vegan footwear. That's it --- looks like the Chronicle will go down with it's vegan footwear on! There! I feel so much better.

Now will Bill Odious Maher

Now will Bill Odious Maher come out & say stuff like this increases the likelihood of "horrible action" against a former President?  Not freaking likely.

But Does Obammy Have a Brain?

Re the topic 'does Obama have a brain', this is an interesting article -Too Clever By Half: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/03/too_clever_by_half.html

It's about how Obammy was brought up in a far-left cocoon by those who "are quick and clever but intellectually narrow". Time after time during the campaign, his association with wackballs on the extreme left fringe was pointed out, but discounted by the media.

Noel,Remember back in

Noel,

Remember back in the 70s/80s when the Chronicle (complete with the Green Sheet)  was just another blandly semi-liberal paper, albeit in a city that was already liberalnuts? I used to laugh at how they would describe a whacko liberal event in reserved language as if they were describing something entirely normal. It looks like they lost all their moorings of sanity when the crazy family took over the editorial control.

Chris

Chris,

Well, in those days I was a whacko-liberal living in Berkeley. So, I didn't notice the Chron's leanings. :-)  ns

Noel,

Then, I guess that proves my old theory that the more conservative a Bay Area inhabitant becomes, the further inland into the East Bay they move - or is it the other way around?  :)

Chris

Chris,

Well, I was still a Lib when I moved here from Berkeley/El Cerrito even though I was working in the securities industry. Took about seven years of being surrounded by Cons every waking hour for me to switch!  :-)  ns
