I'd love to go...I really want to see the new wing of the A&S museum...but it sounds like the whole town is smoking dope.
Must ask (since I'm somewhat of the self-styled fashion police, here).....did you visit the innaugural gown exhibit? And if so, was MO's dress as horrendous in person as it was in the pictures? Cause she looked like she was wearing Aunt Bea's bathrobe, to me.
the new "wing" of the a&s is all the way out at dulles, but worth every dollar of the cab rides to and from! it's huge and spectacular! no pc police there; the imax movies make you remember why you love america, and the enola gay is on display right next to lots of examples of axis powers flying machines. even have the entire enterprise space shuttle, and a concorde.
in the american history museum, the first ladies' gallery was a huge disappointment. used to be two, sometimes three rooms of gowns and china and painted portraits, but right now they have it pared down to about thirty feet of glass cases with only about eight gowns, just a few pieces of china, and the head shots of each lady. the latest "gown" is conspicuously absent. (wonder if it's being travelled about by obamaniacs who swear if you touch the hem, you'll be healed. maybe they put it next to laura's gown, saw the disparity, and decided to retreat and regroup, lol.)

Last time I went to DC (2002....I'd planned a trip to take my mom for her 80th b'day in 2001, but 9/11 blew that...don't even get me started on USAir who tried to screw me out of airfare because they couldn't fly into National!!!!....Anyway, I took mom to the Smithsonian....we never got out of the "rock room"...LOL).
1) see the botanical gardens, but skip the guided tour. the guide turned her description of every plant into a lesson in "al gore-isms". waaaaay out of line.
2) rent a car to go to the new a&s wing out by dulles. the museum is a "must-see", but the cab ride is $50 each way. see the imax movies, and if you have to choose just one, let it be "a fighter pilot's story".
3) just say "no" to the american history museum. its glory days are gone with the revisionists and the p.c. police. everywhere you look, americans are being portrayed as having built our country solely at the expense of every ethnic group except the white male.
4) take at least two sets of blinders, lol!

Then he states toward the end (EDIT: middle - I see they've uploaded 5 more parts) of his speech, "The think they are compassionate."

I didn't get the impression that Limbaugh thinks Obama is ignorant of what he is doing. I heard Limbaugh say the libs in general and Obama in particular do not care if they spend the future as long as that spending puts them in power. Rush said the Obama program is about power, not the desire to amend wrongs or alleviate suffering.
Just use a little humility and decorum. Don't preface good solutions with language designed to alienate people or inflate your ego. I'm not talking about compromising principles, but compromising crassness. Faux narcissism is funny for about 2 nanoseconds, and has no place in politics.

It is all in the eye of the beholder....and trust me, the majority of the masses out here understood exactly what Rush meant.
People on both sides of the aisle would do well to be advised to listen to what the people that are CPAC types want....if not, it is to their own demise as a party when it comes to the real conservatives in my opinion.
For a politician. I haven't listened to Rush much, but I think he fills a niche in that he says a lot of things that regular people would like to say openly. He and Ann are alike in that they are both boldly blunt.
It's past my bed time, but I wanted to reply to this nonsense you posted about Ann's Jesus jokes. There was plenty of laughter during that segment. And anyway, since I am a devout Evangelical I don't have to postulate about what the Evangelical reaction might be.
It might behoove you not to flap your gums about things you don't understand.
But acts of kindness and generosity must be free and voluntary; no man has a right to compel another to follow his conscience. This is a concern which lies between a man and his God.

I heard Limbaugh say the libs in general and Obama in particular do not care if they spend the future as long as that spending puts them in power. Rush said the Obama program is about power, not the desire to amend wrongs or alleviate suffering.

People on both sides of the aisle would do well to be advised to listen to what the people that are CPAC types want....if not, it is to their own demise as a party when it comes to the real conservatives in my opinion.

Anyway...did anybody see that Straw Poll results at CPAC...it made my heart happy, and to top it off, there were 45% of people who were not happy to the choices they were offered to pick from.
No matter what, from conservatives, nobody is going to get down our throats yet...nobody!
Romney came in #1 to-boot...that has to frost the msm....lol...Jindal second....Paul and Palin 3rd and 4th respectively and then good ol' McC lovin' Crist....heheheeee!
