Excuse me for thinking George Washington was a "true" American President.  Or Jackson, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Reagan, etc.  I'm sure what the esteemed commentator meant was obama is the first truly -black- American President.  But, alas, he's not even truly black.  He does get marks for having the best P.R. team.  Other than that, he's not worth much else.  There's going to be an awful lot of people that are greatly disappointed when their savior turns out to be less than mediocre at best.

Hey, PBS and John Ridley, you are truly making me livid. I truly think that your little comment was truly out of line. If you insist of delivering MORE accolades, is is truly necessary for you to slam both W and Reagan? Both of you can truly go screw yourselves. We've known for decades that PBS and its evil twin NPR have been house organs for the Democratic Party. Not only that, but their "educational" shows have taught gullible children their PC's instead of their ABC's. It's time to de-fund both of these nutworks, immediately!

The only show I watch on PBS is Antique Roadshow. This crap from Riddley is the reason why I don't donate to PBS or watch anything else.  It's a disgrace.  And NPR is no better.

I usually defend PBS, but this statement catapults clear over the line separating "edgy" from "idiotic".

True Americans don't pick a tax cheater to run the IRS. True Americans don't put a person with money coming in from foreign country's in charge of foreign policy. True Americans don't campaign against lobbiest and then hire four your first week in office  to be in your Admin.

My arms get tired typing on this stuff--but I soldier on. Truly American....Well, instead of African-American in the most literal sense, this might be true if he were a mix of 110 nationalities or however many there are here... If Ridley thinks African-Americans are truly the only real Americans, well, I can't reach him, so I am going back to work.
