As more comes out about Tuesday's arrest of Democrat Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, it has been learned that he was caught on tape referring to Barack Obama as a "motherf***er".
I kid you not.
As reported moments ago by ABC's Brian Ross (h/t NB reader Steve):
"I've got this thing and it's f***ing golden, and, uh, uh, I'm just not giving it up for f***in' nothing. I'm not gonna do it. And I can always use it. I can parachute me there," Blagojevich said in a phone call secretly recorded by the FBI on November 5, the day after the election, according to the affidavit. [...]
The FBI affidavit said Blagojevich had been told by an adviser "the President-elect can get ROD BLAGOJEVICH's wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the President-elect's pick to the Senate."Told by two other advisers he has to "suck it up" for two years, the FBI says it heard Blagojevich complain he has to give this "motherf***er [the President-elect] his Senator. F*** him. For nothing? F*** him."
The Governor is heard saying he will pick another candidate "before I just give f***ing [Senate Candidate l] a f***ing Senate seat and I don't get anything."
Wow! Think this revelation will be widely reported by Obama-loving media?
Stay tuned.
Post facto thought: doesn't Ross's piece indicate that Obama was actually involved in this pay for play? Read this section again (emphasis added):
The FBI affidavit said Blagojevich had been told by an adviser "the President-elect can get ROD BLAGOJEVICH's wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the President-elect's pick to the Senate."
Doesn't that suggest Blago, or someone in his office, was told by someone affiliated with Obama that if he appoints Obama's pick, his wife will be placed on paid corporate boards?
Doesn't that mean the president-elect offered a sitting governor a de facto bribe to appoint the Senator he supports?
Think this will get a lot of media attention and scrutiny?

The upside is it sounds like Blagojevich isn't afraid to let fly. The guy is nuts. If there is anything he has on Obama, it might just come out in anger. Unless as noted before, Blagojevich has "health issues".

The construction of that sentence really does implicate Barack Obama as the other party to the quid pro quo negotiation with Blagojevich. Yes indeed, how I hear it is Barack Obama paying Rod Blagojevich for the right to choose his successor as Senator of Illinois. Come on Rod roll on Barack, do the country a favor.

This just proves what many of us have been saying for weeks: Obama really is nothing but a corrupt Chicago pol, and an inept one at that. You can't possibly read anything else into "the President-elect can get [Blogo's] wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the President-elect's pick to the Senate" except bald-faced open negotiations of an oral contract to get Obama's personal pick into the Senate.
If this isn't an impeachable offense, I don't know what is, frankly. Obama needs to go. Now. Immediately. If not sooner.
BTW, Chris Matthews: This is why the gap between election and inauguration exists...to make certain that any problem in the election process or any illegalities are able to be brought out and investigated. Remember 2000, where SCOTUS voted 7-2 that the illegal recount in Florida had to stop immediately on grounds that it was a violation of the 14th amendment? The only part that you libs remember is the 5-4 decision, but that wasn't about stopping the Florida recount; that decision had already been made, and only the 2 most liberal justices voted against stopping it. It was about whether or not there was time to craft a remedy to the unresolved issues of the count, and the 5-4 decision found that there simply wasn't enough time under the Constitutional requirements for the seating of electors to do anything but accept the vote as it had already been taken and certified by the Secretary of State of Florida. This issue, though, can be handled approaching the inauguration, after the inauguration, or not at all.
Then again, maybe that's why Matthews et. al. want the wait postponed--so they can get Obamessiah into office before the Federal indictment.
