So many things to say about this, so little internet bandwidth to say them.

As has been stated many times, the media was in the tank for Obama.  Is it at all possible that images of McCain rallies were purposely broadcast to advance a specific agenda and images of Obama rallies were broadcast to advance another different agenda?

I tell you, these "compassionate", "open minded" Liberals....what great fools. The sad part is that too many of them truly believe the hate they spew.

Spike Lee, I am Latino, born in Caracas, Venezuela. My parents and my 6 siblings are all Republicans. Many of us have also married either Mexican's, Cubans, Spanish, guess what, their families are also Republicans. My two best friends, one from Argentina and the other one a black guy are what? Republican. 

This notion that the Republican party is made up of White Christian males annoys the hell out of me. I heard this also said on Foxnews by one of Brit Humes all star pannel!!! 

But I have gotten the usual compassion and love from the left, I have been called an Uncle Tom, a House ni...er and all types of derogatory names by left wingers who believe that as a minority you have to be a Democrat.

Spike, we all know about slavery. We remember that we had slaves in this country. No one is going to forget that. When are you going to stop claiming it's still responsible for every bad thing to happen to a black person in the past 200 years?

Now, don't everybody get all overheated.  Spike's the perfect mouthpiece for the Barry Administration--another example of someone whose work would have gotten nowhere had he not been black.

I have to say, though, that 40 years of slavery line was the best.  Let's see, so America was built by slavery from 1825 to 1865, when slavery was outlawed.  And this guy presumes to lecture America on history?  Riiiiiight. 

Now, to be fair, Spike slurs his speech a bit.  Listening to the video, he might be saying "four hundred years", and "four hundred plus years". So let's do the math:  slavery in America started in (or before) 1465--in other words, 27 years before Columbus landed.  Riiiiiight.

One more break for Spike.  Let's assume he was implying that black people were enslaved in America until Tuesday, when Hussein won the election.  That would mean slavery in America started in (or before) 1608--in other words, 1 year after colonists landed at Jamestown, and 12 years before the Mayflower landed.  Quite a stretch, even for the hyperbolic Mr. Lee.

About 15 years ago I had midcourt seats to a Knick game and took my son and his friend. Coincidentally I was sitting next to Spike Lee who apparently did not get hsi courtside seats.

Prior to the game the kids tried to introduce themselves and maybe get an autograph. Lee just shrugged and gave them both a bad look.

During halftime a few young black kids came over and Lee was very sociable and signed autographs for them.

When the half was over and the other kids left leaned over to Lee and told him that "we reap what we sow" and then told him who I worked for and will advise him about what Lee did. Lee then introduced himself to my kid but by then neither kid wanted his autograph. 

The only racist in the room is Spike Lee.

Spikey, Now that America has proven racism does not exist within our shores, possibly you could just move your buttocks on down the line.

I'm not happy with the choice America made, but I'm proud America proved it can look beyond skin color in making its choices.

Hey Spike.  You're welcome to join the Republican Party if you want.  If there efver was a color barrier there, I don't remember it.  So if you refuse to joi, I guess that means you just want to hold onto the victicrat bennies.

I remember that. Under Kochs last couple years in office, racial tensions were at an all time high. The white liberal voters thought that by electing a black man to the Mayor's office would ease those tensions. The exact opposite occured. Racial tensions got even worse under Dinkins as he gave the racial arsonists a free hand (Rev. Al Sharpton was used to going to the Mayor's office without an appointment, and got to see the Mayor anyhow) and handcuffed the police, forbidding them from stepping in and doing their jobs.

After only one term he voters replaced Dinkins with guilliani (sp?)

After Rudy's election, I think it was the very first day he was in office, Sharpton showed up at the Mayor's office, without an appointment, looking to see if Rudy would kowtow to him the way Dinkins did. The press stood outside, waiting to see if Sharpton got his unannounced meeting with the Mayor. But no, Sharpton was turned away without getting to see the Mayor.

I spent my entire school years being taught tolerance and all those years equal in church fighting with strength and conviction to push forth efforts of compassion and charity because all men and women were created equal under the law and in the eyes of God.  Although we no longer attend any church my children have been given those same values have gone through 10 yrs of not just racial but religious tolerance in school and also attended specially crafted school sessions for religious/ethnic appreciaton and broad ranging cultural studies.

It is so sad that people still feel this way.  That people still teach their children this way.  That people continue the legacy of distrust and hatred yet still hammer on "us whites" that we need to be more tolerant.

What race-baiting bigot this guy is...In many of his movies, whites are portrayed as ignorant, racist, morons. 

And as far as the Republican party being all-white? Obviously he hasn't paid any attention to the number of minorities in the George W. Bush administration. President Bush has had more minorities (of all races) in his administration than any other president in American history...That is a fact. But of course, the blacks in Bush's administration are all "Uncle Toms'" because they supported and worked for Bush, so they don't count...That is except for Colin Powell, who because he came over from the "dark side" and supported Obama, is no longer considered an "Uncle Tom" black. 

And Lee's statement that the America of "Leave it to Beaver" and "Father Knows Best" doesn't exist anymore, is right and wrong. The place in society that blacks were relegated to during that time peroid, thankfully has changed. I don't think any reasonable American agreed with the institutional racism and segregation that blacks suffered earlier in America's history. But, there were good aspects to both of the tv shows that Lee alludes to. A cohesive family unit, and having both parents in the picture to teach and guide their children about morals, principles and values were not and are not today, bad things. Any racial group can appreciate those things. All parents want to impart those things to their children. So, on that point Lee is dead wrong.

Unfortunately, all of this would be lost on Lee, because he only sees the world through racist lenses.

Spike Lee is either invincibly ignorant, or a mouthpiece for the socialist revolution.

That's an interesting choice of sitcoms.  One wonders why he didn't cite others like "The Honeymooners," "Gilligan's Island," "Friends," "Seinfeld," "Cheers," "Frasier," "90210," "MASH," "Munk," even "All In The Family," et al., ad nauseum.  These shows had all-white casts, with the exception of the last one, which had two racially bigoted characters.  In fact, most popular TV sitcoms from the past had all-white casts.  His point?  Let me guess: That the traditional family is both white and evil?  I'd like to know his take on "The Cosby Show" or "Good Times."  They were pretty much all-black casts.  And I hate to break this to him, but today the traditional family is probably strongest in places like Africa and weakest in places like atrophying Europe.

Here's the new Beav.. Since everyone knows me for years in my small town world, the next time I go on vacation I'm going as a black person.  Barack looks black, but his mother is white right? Well then just because I look white, why can't I claim a black parent? 

If someone asks me about it, I'll just whip out a picture of a black guy and say, "here's dad".  Things sure would get confusing if we all did it.  Latino's, Caucasians, Asians, Native Americans.. we all claim a black history and put this bullsh*t to rest once and for all.  The obamadrones might have to deradicalize their racist agenda.  We'd all be Beav's!

Once again, the race card is being played, and Spike has decided to spew forth more of his irresponsible venom.  I as a white guy am tired of hearing this garbage. 

I work as a paramedic in a large city and am accused regularly by blacks of being a racist.  Why, because I ask questions as to why a patient has called for the same complaint numerous times, and continues doing so even though several different hospitals have found them to be just fine.  "You're treating him like that because he is black.  I am going to get an attorney."  That was from the patient's mother.  "No ma'am, I am asking him simple questions and want to know why he is abusing the 9-1-1 system.

Or, when walking to the apartment of one emergency.  "If you were going to a white patient, you would be running."  Nowhere on the dispatch sheet does the patient's race come up.

"If he was white, he would be on the gurney by now."  What? 

Spike here is my challenge to you.  The "Messiah" has been elected president.  I want you to look at the 2008 unemployment reports for both long-term, and new claims, and tell me what percentage of those filing are black.  Then in a year I want you to do the same.  Let us know if the percentages change.  One other thing to do while waiting for the results.  Read Charles Sykes, "A Nation of Victims" 

Spike, if you ever want to come with me and see how it is in the real world, I would be happy to take you and show you.  Of course, you would have to leave your high-class neighborhood to do it.

What? Republican Party, totally white? What are you talking about spike. Let's refresh his memory a little bit, shall we? Michael Steel, Fox News Contributor and Gopac chairman, African American, Republican, Angela McGlowan, Fox News contributor and Republican strategist, African American, Rev. Jesse Lee Petersen, Fox News contributor, African American, Republican. There's plenty more, but the point is that Spike Lee is very, very, very wrong about the Republican Party being "totally white."

The blacks have been on the Democratic Plantation for 100 years, they can have them, they're not going to change. We shouldn't even bother with them...we shouldn't even go after their votes or coddle them. They don't have enought sense to look at the platforms of those running...they didn't even know who Barack's VP was...no, I don' think this is a group we should be wasting too much time in trying to bring into our tent...

Like it or not, that is the perception of the Republican Party. From what I've seen they have done little to reach out to minorities and unions.  I can't see how the Democrats have really done much of anything for labor, especially in the South where union-busting legislation has been the norm, but since the Liberals took over the Democratic Party has advocated for racial and other minorities.

But, on the other hand I don't see how the GOP has ever actively sought to repress minorities.  If you include gays in that group, it can be said that conservatives, for the most part, are not going to support gay marriage, but that cuts across party lines.

Remember that it was the Solid South Democrats who reigned over the worst period of our nation's history concerning Civil Rights.  Cynically speaking, it is the race merchants and Libs who rely on the misery of low income minorities and out of work blue collars for their power base.  There is no advantage to them politically other than to keep poor and angry.

Look at Spike Lee and the others.  If people knew about the huge numbers of middle and upper class minorities out there the Spike Lees, Al Sharptons, Jesse Jacksons, would be nobodies.  It is to their advantage to keep those of their race down, angry and to perpetuate the myth that minorities are oppressed and have no chance to be successful. Their message of 'can't' has done far more damage than the Klan ever did...and that includes violence and deaths.  Because the poor minority communities have been walled off from the rest of society by the race baiters they have been denied fair economic and education opportunities.  This translates into frustration, substance abuse, crime and violence.

One of the 24% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 89% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory.
